Ice I am so excited for you!!! I am hopeful for this month but really just want to have a great vacation. The cool thing is I can not think about the 2ww (if we bd soon) and just enjoy our trip!

Does one typically ovulate on the last day of ewcm or on the first"dry" day that comes after that?

I miss bliss too...hope she,s having a great time in mexico!

split_shank- I looooooove the onesie idea! I''ll have to surprise hubby with it at some point, but make sure our parents never see it. Somehow that just seems awkward! Oh oh oh, in addition to our close EDDs and vacation babies, I also have a split shank e-ring

Bella- A wonderful trip will definitely make your TWW fly by! re: the CM, I always count O day as the last day that I had good CM, though not sure if that is actually the appropriate way. I guess in my head that makes the most sense, because your CM would dry up when it''s no longer needed, aka not fertile anymore.

like others have said, it''s not over until AF showed her ugly face.
i didn''t get my positive until 5 days after AF supposed to show up, so that''s about 18 DPO.
and i had my AF symptoms when i had my BFP too.
so 12 DPO maybe still be pretty early.
fingers crossed for double lines for you too.

Brightlight – I hope you’re right about morning sperm. DH and I are much better in the mornings. That’s actually made me feel much better about this month. I hope you get some answers soon!

CatLuver – I feel you on the every other day front. When I was getting ready to O I was a little paranoid about missing O-1 so we decided to go ahead and not skip a day and I wish we hadn’t. We both knew that we aren’t every day sort of people and it made it much more like a chore. DH and I said that was the first and last time we did that. If this cycle doesn’t work we’re going to stick with every other day. Just look at icekid’s story!

Ryan Claire – Thank you so much for sharing your acupuncture story. It’s something I’ve thought about so it’s really nice to hear what you experienced with such detail. I hope it does wonders for your body!

Noelwr – I LOVE that you named your car using a name your DH liked. What a great idea. My DH comes up with some crazy names, too bad we’re not in the car market.
As for me, today is 4dpo and I'm in the TWW

I'm not nearly as stressed about it as I thought I would be. I think that has a lot to do with being relieved that we're done BDing on schedule. I don't like that at all. I'm sure I'll be a mess around Monday when I plan to start testing.... plus who doesn't stress out on Mondays? I know that's early but I usually start spotting around 8dpo and have a 10 day LP so I figure, why not? DH is out of town Monday to Wednesday so if I do get an early BFP (wishful thinking) he won't even be here. Too bad for him!

I don't think we get enough charts posted around here anymore..... so here is mine.

I spoke to soon. Eva gave me a HIGH this morning on CD10. however, if I compare the stick to yesterday''s it should be a LOW. so I think she''s not even reading the stick but calculating based on how long my previous cycle was and when I had PEAK, and now giving me a few days in advance notice. this is probably also what happened to Po when she had so many HIGH days in a row. Eva probably started predicting too early. silly little robot.

split_shank - I also love the way you told your DH. even if you have a due date in Nov, baby can always come 2 weeks late.

Noelwr-Hope that Eva starts teling you the straight story soon!

On my end, my OPK today seems lighter compared to the control line than yesterday, so I think this new brand might be different than my Answers tests. On the Answers, if your test line had a strip that was the same color or darker than your control line, the dark part of the test line had to be 50% wide.

These it looks like I had a positive with just the narrow outer strip (which the directions don''t specify, but from reading on line it looks like most OPKs except Answer consider that a positive....anyway, if I already Od (I started getting that thin dark strip on the evening of CD 13 and I am now on CD 15) I am out of the running b/c while we BD at the right time we were tired and DH didn''t um "finish" so it doesn''t count for BD. I guess it''s possible that I geared up to O and didn''t yet, so I''ll keep testing in case I get a clear positive, but my EWCF seems almost completely gone today. I guess IceKid has shown that it''s possible even when the calendar doesn''t seem probably, but I don''t know if my eggs are as strong as her DHs sperm, 6DAYS, crazy!!!

I am kind of bummed and irritated, but I guess the good news is there is always next month...

Bells - don''t pin all your hopes on this, but you can still get pregnant from pre-ejaculation even if he didn''t finish. which is what I suspect happens to people who use the pull-and-pray BC method and still get pregnant. did you say where in Cali you''re visiting?

oh, is Bliss in Mexico? somehow I thought she was going in May. maybe that was someone else.

Not to be a debbie-downer but I've been reading up on the pull-and-pray method. Apparently the new train of thought is there is no sperm in pre-ejaculation. It seems that those who got pregnant either 1.) didn't pull out in time, 2.) pulled out in time but aimed at a sensitive area, or 3.) went for round two without wiping away sperm that may be lodged in the folds.

Noel, I'm heading to Mexico in May. Can't wait!

Catluver: Good luck with your possible BD''ing marathon this weekend

As to you question when to start BD''ing, I wouldn''t necessarily wait until you get your first positive OPK. Some people O very soon after their first OPK, so I would engage in BD''ing before then. Just guestimate your O''day and subtract 3 or so days from there, and go for it! If you don''t get a positive OPK and/or temp rise, you should keep going just in case you have a delayed O, but generally, you can engage in BD''ing until the day after a positve OPK.

Ryan Claire: It sounds like you found a good fit with the second accupuncturist. I wish you lots of luck with the TCM and hope that proves to be the right way to get your O going again. Fingers crossed!

Split_Shank: OMG, that is way too cute how you told your DH. How sweet!

. Way to hold it in for a full day. I don''t think I could do that, I would just have to spill that secret to someone! I''m sure you guys will always remember that and it will make a great story to tell the grandkids

. As for the doc, I think mine said they want me there about 8 weeks into the PG, just to confirm. Maybe you can ask nicely if you can come in a bit earlier

Noel: I have heard varying opinions on BD''ing. Some books/doc say to do it everyday, others tell you everyother day. I think if you can time it well, everyother day should be ok. But then again, its whatever you are comfortable with. If you aren''t into it everyday, then it is just going to make the whole process no fun.
Congrats on the car, how cool. Did you end up getting the RX300?

Icekid: I love the whole Made in Spain thing. Too funny! I think as long as you don''t name him Madrid, you can avoid the awkwardness with the family,

Bella: Have a wonderful time on vaca! I won''t stress to much about the O date, b/c with all the stress you have been dealing with this month, you may have pushed your O date back. As for the CF, mine is just bonkers throughout the entire cylce, so I can''t really help you. Either way, have some much fun and enjoy relaxing and BD''ing

Kunzite: Congrats on getting into the 2WW. I am thinking happy thoughts for you. You could be our first BFP for April!

As for me, I am hanging in there. I am at CD26 and 9DPO and no sign of AF yet. I also have no idea what she is planning either. B/c of the delayed ovulation, I don''t know when to expect here. My last cycle was only 26 days, and the one before was 28. Both times I O''ed on CD 14 and my LP went down from 14 to 12 days. So, if my LP averages out, I am not expecting AF till the 30th. However, I don''t know if my LP is going to be shorter or what. So here I am, feeling like a 15 year old who might get surprised my AF. Boo for that

Either way, if she doesn''t come in the next day or two, I might just take a HPT so I don''t get into anything I shouldn''t (ie margaritas and sushi).

I will let you know if I find anything out, but otherwise, I am ready to get this cycle done with and move onto the April BD''ing marathon club

CDNinNYC - ah, interesting, I didn''t know that there was a different train of thought. I guess that''s what you''re told as a teenager so that hopefully you don''t do anything stupid or stay away from sex all together. oooh, enjoy Mexico.

dcgator - yes, we got the RX300. she looks so big when parked next to other cars! most people drive much smaller cars than in the States here. margaritas and sushi... yum, two of my favorites. I did have a margarita last week. it was heaven.

DCGator - Thanks for your support! It is really nice to know that so many of you ladies are rooting for me! I hope you get a BFP! How wonderful would it be to get pregnant before you even start trying!! I sooooo would have taken a test already, although I acknowledge that is terrible advice.

Brightlight - How are you doing today? CD35?? Will you test again? When I first started trying, I was very very confused because I was having 36 and 38 day cycles, right after 26 day cycles. It was odd. I was convinced I was pregnant every single time! You seem to be handling it much more reasonably.

Catluver - There's a lot of information on OPKs here: http://www.peeonastick.com/opkfaq.html. You will likely ovulate 24-36 hours after receiving a positive result, so you should defintely try to BD on the day you receive the positive and then again the following day. Since you will likely notice a pattern on the CD that you ovulate each month, should you need to in future months, you can predict ovulation date on your future cycles and then plan to BD accordingly. You might try BD'g every other day leading up to your ovulation this month, and then try for day of positive OPK and following, or see plan below.

For those considering how best to time, you may want to consider the Sperm Meets Egg Plan. I know it has been discussed on here before, but I don't recall by who.

RyanClaire - Wow! How interesting to read about your acupuncture experience!?!? It's good that he took your pulse and looked at your tongue as these are the main diagnostic tools. My first acupuncturist did not. Will he put the needles in through your clothes in future treatments too? My first acupuncturist had me bring a tank top and shorts to change into. My current acupuncturist has me wear undergarments only. I've had the silver blanket thing before too.

So, what are the herbs like? Does he have them on the shelf? Or, are they special ordered? Have you started taking them yet? How do they taste? Were they costly? I think I paid $40 for mine. I had a friend who went years ago and paid hundreds of dollars in herbs, vitamins, etc. and never saw results from her treatments. Grrr.

Sounds like you found a good acupuncturist!! It will be so interesting to hear how things progress!! So, you have not ovulated yet on the Clomid? Have you talked to your doctor about this? You might call and mention it. What did the acupuncturist say about contining to treat with Clomid and with him? Was he clearly for or against? My acupuncturist is very accepting of my treatment plan with the RE, and feels that I will benefit from the complement of her treatments, though deep down, I am sure she thinks she could help me on her own, but I know it would take more time.

SplitShank - That has got to be the SWEETEST telling-your-DH-that-you're-pregnant-story that I have every heard. You're good!!

Noel - Hi There! I am sorry that Eva is being such a pain. Maybe Eva is more sensitive than the OPK you tried? To answer your question, IUIs are generally done 24-36 hours after the trigger shot. Ovulation occurs approximately 36 hours after the trigger shot. Some REs, including mine, will do back to back IUIs, so if I recall correctly, I had one at 24 hours and one at 48 hours, after the trigger, so that would be approximately 24 hours before and just after ovulation.

Icekid - I hope you're right!!! And, love the Made in Spain idea!! haha!

Kunzite - Yay, welcome to the 2WW! Gah! It's not that bad, really. Thank goodness for work, it is a great distraction! I'll be looking forward to your report on Monday!!

Bella - When is your flight? Any chance for BD tonight? The OPK just reads the surge, right, so if today is CD15, you may still have a viable egg, right? I say, GO FOR IT!! (I hope I am not mis-reading your days, I am terrible with all of this stuff.)

LV - thanks for that info too. I hadn''t seen the Sperm Meets Egg Plan. (For those who haven''t seen it,) that plan advises every other day beginning CD 8, 3 days straight after getting a positive OPK, one day break, then one day after that. Well, we''re not doing every other day from CD8 because I''m afraid there wouldn''t be much left (energy, enthusiasm, juice) to attempt 3 days straight after that. The plan also says sperm usually only live 2 days with good CM, but I guess 5-6 days really can happen! 40% in the first month trying the plan sounds like a high number.

noelwr - I am curious about regeneration rates too. I told DH I wanted to get a microscope and do some experiments. Haha. He''s not that young either. If only they had their teenage libidos now!

Thanks for the kudos on telling DH. I really wanted to make it something we'd never forget. I was actually a little nervous, not sure why because I knew he'd be ecstatic! I told him, this must be what it feels like when guys propose haha. It was a really emotional time. It was the first time I had EVER seen my husband cry. Which then made me start bawling even more. Good thing I kept my sunglasses on to our room. People would have thought someone died or something by our puffy eyes! We just couldn't stop hugging and crying, which in turn made us late for dinner with the rest of the group. wouldn't have it any other way.

Re: timing... I can't tell you how this happened. If I guessed O day when I think it was, then DH has some supersperm too. We were barely in the same town let alone bed the week we probably got KTFU. For a 'dry spell' week, something musta been hangin on for dear life!!!

BTW, I officially feel like I ate the whole bread basket or something. I guess the Belly Monster showed up last night and fillled me up with 'fluff'. Still feel good otherwise, but I have officially just jinxed myself and will probably start puking tomorrow.

dcgator - Like LV, I would have started testing already. I can''t believe we have so many strong ladies around here who can resist. I''ll be cheering for you from the sidelines hoping that you get great news when you test in a few days. I have a variable LP too (just a few days), so I would just assume a 12 day for now and stick with your plan to test in a few days. I can''t imagine your LP moves more than from 12/14 as that would be quite unusual.

CatLuver - I can''t remember, do you know what CD you normally O on? I knew that I normally O''d on CD16 so that''s really the only reason we tried for two days in a row. It would have been a bonus but it wouldn''t have hurt if we weren''t up for it. If you know what day you O that might be a good plan so you can "try it out" and see how things work for you. My DH has never had the libido of a teenager... never. If it takes us awhile I might change my tune on the every other day, but for now it works for us. Three days in a row

SS - That pictures is so cute! Since DH will be out of town next week I''m really hoping that *if* this is our month I get an early BFP so I can put together some cute way to tell him. Otherwise, if he''s home in the morning when I test there is NO WAY I could keep the secret.

Happy weekend, ladies!

I''m out this cycle - AF started this morning. Based on Eva and FF, I O''ed on CD 15, BD on O-2, O-1 and O, and had a 13-day LP. The stars were just not aligned this month! I knew AF was coming last night and felt pretty bummed, but I''ve accepted reality this morning!

Since I don''t generally have EWCF, next cycle I''m going to use Preseed. I''m also going to keep up my exercise routine, drink more water, and be grateful for all I learned this time. Before Eva, I had no confirmation of O due to my unpredictable cycles, and therefore had no idea of my typical LP. I''ve learned so much in the past 28 days!

This is cycle 15 of us "not preventing" but only cycle 2 of us 100% paying attention. So, I''m trying not to get too down. I had bloodwork twice and a pelvic U/S in the Fall which confirmed that I''m generally OK. DH has some concerns on his end, which we''ll explore if a couple more vigilant cycles don''t yield a positive result.

DH got some excellent job news yesterday for which we feel very grateful. We''re now planning a beachy summer getaway somewhere fab, which is a lot to be excited about even if AF reared her nasty head this weekend. I''m going to have a daiquiri today and pretend I''m already on holiday

We are playing around with some options now! DH has requested a "super lazy beach holiday," so although I was originally hoping for Greece, we may just park it at a beach resort! I''ve found a few great places in Anguilla and Turks & Caicos; dreaming of Tahiti (but don''t think we can get enough time off to make it worth our while!) I''ll be happy to get away - we haven''t had a proper vacation since last May! Of course, we won''t be going until the last week of July.

Sorry for the drive-by post everyone. So, it''s CD 36 and no AF. I tested on CD34 and got a negative. I''m beginning to worry that something''s wrong. If I don''t get a positive or AF by Monday, I''m going to see my doctor.

I have a ton to catch up on here! Just wanted to say HELLO!

Boy, I have a lot of news - all of which will make you laugh! The first night I was in Mexico, I dropped Eva!

She shattered on the hard tile floor! I tried to put her back together; but alas, she was gone to Happy Baby Land. There were all sorts of weird error messages when I powered her back up and she was throwing out numbers that don't even exist because her screen broke. She kept saying I was CD d2! Like R2D2? LOLOLOL! I laugh now, but I was horrified when she broke!

Oh, and I broke my thermometer as well - she was packed in a ziplock with Eva when I dropped it. So I have no idea if I've ovulated or not! I tried to enjoy the break from temping and Eva'ing during the vacay, which was fabulous! DH and I went to Cozumel and stayed in the Presidente Intercontinental, which was super nice and almost completely empty so we had it all to ourselves. I guess the economy is really hitting the tourism industry pretty hard there. We had a blast spearfishing and swimming with dolphins. Did you know that dolphins close their eyes when they kiss you? So cute! I wonder if they train them to do that??? As for BD, it was crazy. There must be something in the air? We went nuts and I'm exhausted!

I miss Eva! This is also funny! Did you know that Cozumel is called Fertility Island? There was this really beautiful Mayan temple we visited where women from Mexico would bring gifts and flowers to the goddess so that they'd have a baby. They'd travel there by boat, we were told, to be blessed with fertility! The guide gave us a tiny piece of the temple to put under our bed at home! Everyone we met in Mexico urged us to have kids asap when they found out we were married! I was like, "Did my mother call you all in advance?"

They said, "We don't grow any crops in Cozumel - we just grow babies." What a beautiful island with beautiful people. I came home vowing to learn Spanish!

Anyway, lots of luck and love to you ladies! Missed you all so much and am SO thrilled to come back to wonderful news!!!!!

I''m eating my words. sorry I said those bad things about Eva. will she ever forgive me? she gave me another HIGH today, and this time I could clearly see the estrogen line getting lighter and LH getting darker. also did an OPK and it gave me a bold edge but not a bold thick line (like Bella got). anyway, actually a significant line popping up, unlike yesterday where the line was missing. I think it''s a + since I don''t have the fade in thing going on. I''ll do the OPK again tomorrow and if it''s - then I''ll know today''s was +. I love my OPK dipsticks. they are super cute and tiny. anyway, so looks like the timing of O might be 2 days earlier than last cycle.

Bliss - yay! you''re back. it sounds like you just might have had a very fertile vacation.

Second: found out dh has good friends who are expecting, last time we saw then they just started trying, and she''s 10 weeks...happened really fast!

So, I'm heading into CD37 and still no AF. Ladies, if you thought the 2WW was tough, just imagine a 3WW. Anyway, I feel a little better. I went back and started reading the TTC thread from the very beginning, and DivaDiamond007 was getting BFNs well into her CD40s and found out she was preggo when she went to see the doctor in her CD50s. She also had egg white like CM right around the time AF was due like I did except hers was brown. I'm trying to not read too much into my PMS/pregnancy symptoms, but I've got acne that's been getting progressively worse over this past week, sore nipples, and cramps. Could be PMS. Could be early pregnancy. Who knows? I have to imagine this is the TTC version of a pregnancy that's overdue -- you're waiting for something to come out of your vagina at any minute.
