The Official TTC Thread!

Apart from being rather emotional and teary eyed reading all the wonderful BFP announcements, I'm totally thrilled for you all, Ice, Split and BB. Wishing you all a wonderful, healthy and happy pregnancy and hoping you'll stick around for a while.

I've been mega busy the last couple of weeks and not had an opportunity to post but also not had anything to report other than Eva was playing games this cycle and gave me 16 days worth of highs and no peaks, bad girl. I'm currently on cd4, so who knows what April will bring for the rest of us.

So here's a smattering of dust for us all and I'll hopefully get to post more this week..........oh and wondering if being on holidays/vacation is the way to go for a bfp. Right, where are the travel brochures!!!

Po - Fairydust.gif

Brightlight, Are you continuing to test? Hoping you get a BFP!

RyanClaire, I went to acupuncture yesterday and asked about using needles through clothing because I was curious about this. My acupuncturist said that she has seen this in China. Sometimes, acupuncturists will treat patients right on the sidewalk (sort of set up shop on sidewalk), and the patients receive needles through their clothing. She said she took a video of this the last time she was there, and was going to show me, but we forgot by the time I was leaving. She also said that she worked with a famous acupuncturist for 6 weeks. Fifty people would be lined up in the morning to be treated by him, and he always put needles in through clothing. Interesting, huh?

today got a + OPK. it also had the very dark edge line, but today over all the whole test line was just as dark as the control line. however, I do believe yesterday was also a + and I caught the surge as it started and today in the middle or as it''s ending. the dipsticks are so cute and tiny, just want to share them here with you. I placed it next to a pen top so you can see its size. Eva, being the photo diva that she is, wanted to be part of it as well.

noelwrevaopk.JPG

Oh Noel!!!!

I love your Eva pen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The OPK is very cute, I agree!

Yay for your +OPK!

******************
I am bummed that I missed all those days temping because I have no idea what's going on in my cycle now! I guess this month is a crapshoot!
Today I stared at my FF chart scratching my head... have no idea if I ovulated or not!

Ahhhhhh, missed data! Evaaaaaa!

Is Bella on vacation now?

Sooo after stalking this thread since it''s start...I am tentatively dipping my toe in
6.gif

DH and I have our first anniversary next week, and we are seriously thinking about starting to casually try, as soon as tomorrow! I am getting my IUD out.

Sorry if I sound super scattered, I am kind of freaking out! We are both super excited and kid-crazy, and we just realized that certain life things are lining up, and most of the reasons we were waiting were other people''s opinions, not ours.

Anyway, I am looking forward to this journey, and I am super excited to sharing it with all the wonderful ladies whose stories I have followed around here
35.gif
35.gif
35.gif

Oh! I meant to ask, any books (other than TCOYF) you guys recommend reading? What about favorite baby stuff sites?

welcome Miscka! I just get all my info off the Internet and I''m not buying any baby stuff til I''m 13 weeks pregnant if I ever get that far. just don''t want to jinx it. but I''m sure lots of other ladies will have sources for you. beautiful ring in your avatar, by the way.

brightlight - good luck at the doctor, though I really hope you''ve either had a BFP or AF so that you don''t have to worry anymore.

Bliss - I would just assume you did O and since you had lots of "fun" during your vaca, there''s a good chance. yup, Bella is in CA.

I think March Madness has hit some of your Evas. Bliss'' Eva''s last words are her confession of love to R2D2 and Po''s can''t stop getting high. hopefully we''ll all be done with Eva soon and she can hibernate in the bottom of our closets.

So much happened while I was MIA!

icekid: Congratulations for your Spain production!

split_shank: Congratulations, and what a wonderful photo opportunity!

blushingbride: twins! Double congratulations!

brightlight: I didn''t realize how sad I''d be getting a negative, and teared right up. Good thing you''re checking with your doctor in case things are being weird.

LV: Distractions are good, especially adorable dogs.

kunzite: the dreaded 2ww...best of luck.

RC: Sounds like things started off well with the acupuncture. Keep us posted.

Lynnie: you didn''t miss anything, I went MIA. I''m now CD6.

Krissie: Join the April club with me! Congrats on his job.

Bliss: Glad you''re back and that BDing was awesome! I''m sure it''s great to just "babydance" for the sake of just "dancing" while on vacation.

Miscka: welcome!

I''m so behind, I''m sorry who I missed. Hope March ends well and April starts off with a roar!

---

My mom had her surgery this morning to remove the radioactive plaque and everything is going well so far. She''ll know in a couple months whether the radiation worked. Thanks for your thoughts. The day she went in for surgery, Wednesday, I started my period. So I felt safe standing in the doorway of the room about six feet from her to visit for the week, but she said since my DH and I are both of childbearing age she didn''t want us too close anyways, so there we were. I''m more sad than I expected to be about not being pregnant this month. Coupled with the reality of Mom''s cancer, I want to have children that she will know and love. I just pray that everything will work out the way it''s supposed to. When my husband and I first got marrried, we said we''d try to get pregnant on April 11, 2010 because that would be the anniversary of 100 months together. Totally cheesy, but in hindsight, maybe it will work out that way because my estimated ovulation day is now April 11. Fate? Luck? Who knows, but I hope it works.

Hi Ladies,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends. And now, back to Monday...boo.

Possible 2WW: Brightlight, LV, Kunzite

Lots of you in the 2ww... good luck!!

Hello my fellow TTC''s
35.gif

Noel: Congrats on the new car. I do
30.gif
that automobile. And enjoy the bigger car in NL. I remember driving around there was always such a power stuggle with the bikes, but I think you have them beat now...
3.gif

Btw, good luck with the BD''ing. Sounds like you are catching O just in time!

LV: I hope you enjoyed your weekend with the puppies. I am super excited for you and hope this week flies by
2.gif

Split_Shank: What a great photo and an amazing memory. You have got to frame that and put it in the LO''s room
9.gif

Krissie: Sorry to hear about AF, but now you get to join us all in the April BD''ing marathon! The Preseed sounds like a good idea. I know a lot of the girls on here have had luck with that. I am glad to hear that Eva brought you some clarity too. Yeah for knowing when you O. As for your DH''s issues, hopefully the Preseed should help that as well, but if you continue to have issues, I would recommend he get some tests too.
Congrats on DH''s new job and have so much fun planning your vaca!

Brightlight: I hope the Dr. is able to shine some light on the situation. You should be able to take a urine test and know within a little while if you are KU. If not, then hopefully they can pinpoint the issue. Fingers crossed for some happy results
2.gif

Bliss: Welcome back lady!
35.gif
I''m glad to hear that you had such a fruitful vacation
3.gif
. I am sure it was a bummer that Eva and your thermometer broke, but maybe that was all in the grand scheme of things for you to enjoy your BD''ing worry free. Hopefully it will all pay off in a couple weeks
2.gif
I didn''t know about Cozumel being Fertility Island, but maybe we should all plan a trip there...

Charbie: Hmmm, interesting. Did you BD at the right time this past month? Please let us know either way!

Miscka: Welcome to the TTC hood. I hope you are able to learn a lot from the ladies around here. When you get off your IUD, just make sure you are getting everything ready (ie getting your body in order) b/c the TTC journey can be short for some. As for what books, etc to get, the TCOYF is a staple, but I would also recommend What to Expect Before You''re Expecting. Its a bit less scholarly then TCOYF and makes a pretty easy read. The parts that are highlighted for your DH are also kind of fun too. Good luck!

Plantationcatt: I am glad to see you back here. I was wondering about you and mom and hoped that everything went well. It sounds like she got through it ok and you were able to be with her, so that''s great. As for the O timing, I think it just might be fate. I will have my fingers, toes, etc. crossed for you this month. And I would try to keep positive about mom and baby. I''m sure it will all be ok. Big (((HUG)))

*****
As for me, I am so
33.gif
. I am on CD 29 with no sign of AF. My temps are still above my coverline, though not soaring. It doesn''t help that I think my thermometer is on the fritz, so I feel a bit more confused. And yet another wrinkle, I had spotting for 1.5 days after bedding on Saturday. This is now the 2nd time I have had spotting after BD''ing. A PP suggested it could be some kind of thinning of the lining. Anyone else have any experience/theories about this? The first time I thought it was implantation spotting and this time I thought it was AF, but alas it was neither (or both?)
11.gif

For those of your curious cats, I did take a HPT on Sunday morning, but it was negative. So, I am planning on waiting a couple more days (maybe Wed) and am going to take another HPT if AF is not here. If I am KU, it would be a little wierd since I BD''ed 4 days before my supposed O, although SS has showed us anything is possible
2.gif
. Oh well, I would just prefer to know either way now so I can get moving onto April BD''ing if need be.

Lots of luck to everyone!

Just got back from the RE...it was a good visit!!! I was on Femara this cycle, and the ultrasound showed a follicle at 17mm, which she said was good for day 13. They grow 1-3mm per day. I''m coming back Wednesday to see if it has grown. If not, I will get an injection to move it along. And if I get a positive OPK by Wednesday, I''ll cancel the appointment. You girls do not know how excited I am to have the possibility to ovulate. And if I do, I''ll be thrilled! If I get a BFN, i''ll still be OK bc now I know what I need to take to ovulate. Ahhhh...fingers crossed! AND, if I ovulate Thursday, the due date if I got pregnant would be 12-23. I told DH and he laughed and said, oh well...we''ll just have a Christmas baby then! I got my first high on Eva. I usually was getting highs early on, and they would just last and last and last. I was getting discouraged until I started thinking that maybe it was a good thing not to have gotten one yet, since every other cycle was annovulatory. I''ve been charting with my temps, and I feel armed for this cycle!!! I''m so happy!!!
36.gif
I love the makers of Femara!!!!!

Do you girls feel twinges before ovulation? I''ve felt them big time this morning, and now I''m feeling them, but I usually do after an ultrasound bc I think they get kind of "startled" with a dildo cam invading their space, so they get a little sore. I know of people feeling ovulation, but didn''t know if you felt twinges a few days before, and then day of was more "discomfort".

Any news from the 2wwers?

oops, I forgot about Daylight Savings so when I turned Eva on this morning she hadn't moved on to the next day yet, but I had already peed on the test stick. oh well, I popped it in an hour later. I knew she was going to give me Peak, anyway, because of yesterday's Peak. will have to do the same for the rest of the cycle, but it is standard 2 Peaks, 1 High, then back to low.

Bliss - are you going to replace Eva? I think you actually would be able to figure it out yourself by looking at the test sticks. as soon as the estrogen line gets lighter, you've got a High. when LH line is darker than estrogen, it is a Peak. I'm not sure if that's for everyone, but that's how it works so far to me.

dcgator - I don't volunteer Eva's info to DH (as I don't want him to feel pressured), but he asked so I told him, and he was like "What? HIGH? We need to BD!" so he wants to do the BD-marathon even though I said I was ok with every other day. he said he doesn't want to miss out on any chances.

Lanie - that's fantastic news! hope you get a Big Fat O! I think I felt O, but not sure cuz could be anything. but never any twinges, though.

anyway, here is an interesting chart from my internet research. it has to do with BDing every day vs every other day (babymed.com). I also found a chart showing the likelihood to get preggers BD-ing x many days before O, but I can't find it anymore. boo.

noelwrfertilityfacts.JPG

Lanie - YAY for impending ovulation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
36.gif
You must be so relieved!!! Yay to the makers of Femara!! Woo-hoo! I am usually oblivious to ovulation and do not recall every feeling anything around ovulation time, so I can't help you there!

DCGator - Hoping the next few days bring you some clarity, perhaps in the form of a BFP?!?!
9.gif
Thanks for reporting about your HPT results. I am one of the curious cats that was wondering.

PlantationCatt - Hope your mom is feeling better as each day progresses. April 11 - oh, that's very sweet how it worked out. I hope it's a magical day for you and your DH! It'll be here before you know it.

Miscka - WELCOME!! Since you intend to approach things casually at this point, I probably wouldn't pick up any additional books. You don't want to bog yourself down with details!!

*****************

I wish I were doing better at this 2-3ww business!! It's hard!!! I will have bloodwork tomorrow. After he sees the results, the RE will advise whether he wants me to take another HCG injection. This is the worst part because I won't be able to test for at least 8 days thereafter. I am hoping he says no, and hoping that they do an HCG test and that they tell me my HCG is way too high to be from the injection alone, but I doubt that will be the case, especially since I am only 7DPIUI now. I DID feel some prickly sensations on Friday and again on Saturday night, which I am partly convinced was implantation, but I also acknowledge that would be quite early for implantion and that I am hyper-aware of every twinge at this point. Waiting. I do not like waiting.
40.gif

Thanks, ladies, for the welcome!!

Noel, were we date twins? For some reason I feel like we were? I am not buying anything at all until 13 weeks either, just looking for ideas and ways to kill time while I try to get KTFU!

Have any of you talked to friends IRL about this step?

My appt this AM went well, Dr. took out the IUD and told me what kind of prenatal to start. Not that exciting, but I couldn''t sleep last night I was so excited!

dcgator, you are much more patient than I! I would have POAnotherS already by now.

So ............ still no AF. Lemme tell you, we''re going to have words when she finally shows her face! Judging by my acne and sore boobs, she should be coming soon if she''s going to come. I''m going to call my dr. for an appt. Hopefully, I can get in soon.

I apologize for not replying to any posts. Please know that I''m reading your posts, and my thoughts are with all of you. When I''m a little less scatterbrained and know what''s going on with my uterus, I will actively/vocally offer all of you more support. Please do know that I do support all of you.

brightlight -- you are so cute...don''t worry about the self-centered posts (not meaning that in a bad way...just don''t know what else to call them). I would be all over the place as well! Are you sure you ovulated? If so, when did you?

noelwr and whoever else -- the general consensus is to BD every other day, right? That way your hubs has time to regenerate??? I think I''m too nervous to just do that...I think I need to do every day personally to make sure! I''m wondering if that chart is for men with good sperm counts, etc. I''m surprised the percentage between every day and every other day isn''t really all that different!

Miscka -- meant to tell you welcome as well! I had a friend who got preggers the cycle after her IUD was taken out! It can happen! Hell, just a couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine got pregnant WHILE on bc so anything is possible!

LV -- why would they do an HCG injection at this point? What is it for? Dust dust dust!!!

dcgator -- I''ve had that before...scared the hee haw out of me bc I went googling and nasty, scary stuff came up. Did I post this before? Anyway, I asked my RE and he said it was degenerating lining. Basically (in my own words...and I''m not a doctor) that your lining can come apart and slip out a little when it''s "prodded". It doesn''t really mean anything. BDing can cause it. He didn''t seem concerned about it in the least and he''s super thorough. HTH!

So I'm not quite sure how I screwed up before when posting my CD- but I'm currently on CD 30. I have a feeling AF will be making her appearance here quite soon, and I have been averaging 30-31 day cycles, which is right where I was before the pill. I'm bloated, cranky, and emotional.
We BD'd on CD 9 w/ no "p'n'pray" but since then we've been pretty careful. I've got a lot of new things coming up at work and have started P90X, so hoping to get into prime shape so that once we really "start" i'm in better shape. We are still a go for beginning the baby-making process in July tho! Yippeeeeee.

Lanie- SOOOO excited for you! I've been following you for awhile now, and I really have a great feeling that you're gonna be preggo super soon....I dunno...I just think you're gonna get lucky! I think when we are going for it- we will be BD'ing everyday. That whole "regeneration" business sounds like a bunch of crap to me. With only a few days a month to try- you bet I'll be game for some action at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

LV- you're making me anxious! I know what you mean about feeling every single little movement in your body. I kept pressing my stomach in every different place yesterday going, "hmm, why does my stomach hurt here, but not over here..."

dcgator- what do you think your chances are of being a jerkstore????

Lanie - The HCG injections are half-doses at this point (they call them HCG boosters after ovulation) and are intended to trick the body into creating progesterone on its own, which in turn, keeps the lining thick. Previously, I took a progresterone supplement in a pill form. For whatever reason (not sure why), when you are taking injectable ovulation induction drugs, my RE gives HCG, instead of oral progesterone. When the nurse explained this to me last Tuesday, I was slightly horrified
23.gif
because I knew it would delay testing. But, I have to just let that go, and trust the doctor. I'd rather take the HCG and delay testing, than not be pregnant.

Re: everyday vs. every other day, did you look at the sperm meets egg plan? And, if you know when you are going to ovulate (because of the ultrasounds) then I would do every day at that point. Are you still using Eva?

Charbie - Don't be anxious because of me!!! I am always trying to be peaceful and zen and everything will be the way that it shall be, blah, blah, blah. Truth is, right now, I am so impatient!!!
26.gif
And, I have quite a ways to go!

dc- Definitely won''t be naming the baby Madrid! hehe
11.gif
I am still hoping for you, girl! 4 days before? That is wonderful timing in my world
1.gif

LV- Anxiously awaiting updates from you
36.gif
I am kind of hoping no more HCG for you, too. If you need more, when would you be able to test accurately?

split_shank- Love love the photo! Thanks for sharing that special with us
9.gif

Krissie- Sorry about the BFN. Sounds like Eva is working out well for you, though.

brightlight- Sorry about the long-ish cycle and all of the stress it is causing you. Do you think you ovulated? What makes you think there is something wrong? Sometimes we (me: 60ish days?) have longer cycles.

Bliss!! - You''re back
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
I missed you. And thank you. I am still shocked and so excited. Oh noooooo about Eva, though maybe the breakage enabled an extra fun and spontaneous vacation
31.gif
No sense of when you ovulated from CM?

Po- Vacation BFPs are the way to go
31.gif
Must be all of that free time (and lack of stress.) Thanks so much. You are a sweetie.

Mischka- Welcome!!! It is an exciting time, isn''t it? The ladies here are fabulous.

plantationcatt- Thanks!! It sounds like your mom is doing well, which is wonderful. I can understand wanting your baby to have your mom in your life! Fingers crossed that it happens soon for you.

Lanie- YAY for Femara! That is awesome news. You must be feeling so relieved knowing that ovulation is FINALLY going to happen. I am so excited for you
36.gif
36.gif

noel- I think that info is right. Everyday gives a slight advantage over every other, but that SURE does get tiring
3.gif

----------------------

So I finally called the doctor''s office and made an appointment for April 12! I admit I fibbed a tiny bit about my LMP date because I NEED to have an earlier appointment because my work schedule sucks
14.gif
And I don''t feel bad about it
3.gif

Besides the sore boobs and a bit of cramping (no bleeding), I still feel normal! I''ve been working out as usual, which is great given my huge weight gain paranoia. I should now be about 4 weeks and 2 days.. moving right along
2.gif

In other somewhat baby-related news, I actually just purchased the gem that is going to grace my baby ring (push present
14.gif
). It''s a pretty big purchase and I''ve been saving up for QUITE a while. So exciting that it happened to end up around the BFP time.

Hi everyone,

I''m on CD 12, and as of this morning, still no positive OPK! I''m confused because I had a ton of EWCM on CD 9 and it''s gradually lessened since then. Will test when I get home. Trying not to be paranoid that OPKs won''t work for me or that I don''t ovulate. We DTD on CD10 and I''m hoping those guys won''t be wasted.

dcgator - hope you get an answer soon.

noelwr - that is an interesting chart. The difference between every day and every other day doesn''t seem like too much. I wonder whether there''s a difference between (O-3, O-1) and (O-2, O) and each of those compared to every day.

Bliss - I have a feeling your vacation was a lucky one! It sounds like you had a great time. Poor Eva!

brightlight - I hope you get some answers soon too.

Kunzite - I''m still not sure exactly what day I normally O on. Once I get a positive OPK (hopefully), I''ll try for 2-3 days until I get a negative OPK. My DH''s libido in his 20''s would have been awesome for baby-making, but alas, life/work/school and babies weren''t exactly aligned.

Welcome Miscka.

Good luck to the 2WW''ers!

Bella! We miss you! Hope you're having tons of fun in Cali!

Oh we have the March Madness off to an amazing start!
Icekid, Split_shank & Blushing!

Lili - so cute when you pop in. Your avatar is the cutest!!!!!!!!!

Kunzite, how are you doing with the 2WW? Yay for hitting the ovulation window! Your chart is BEAUTIFUL, by the way! Lucky lady!

Noel! Oh, my Eva buddy! I'm going to wait on replacing Eva until AF shows. I have nearly 60 sticks and no Eva! Poor Eva. I tried resetting her but she has gone to Happy Baby Heaven. So funny how she confessed her love for R2D2 in her last message to the world. Their love is no longer a secret! Oh yay for your positive OPK!

CDNinNYC... you are going to love Mexico! I want to go back!!!! Oh, how wonderful for you!

dcgator!!!!! I missed you, too! It isn't over until it's over!!! I know how frustarting it can be. Sometimes when the cervix is tender, there can be spotting after BD. I've never experienced it, but I've read that it is common. Maybe it's implantation bleeding or preggo spotting? And one never knows... maybe you ovulated late? Or maybe you are KTFU and it'll take longer to show a positive! I'm hoping that you are preggo and am sending lots of dust!

RyanClaire - thanks for sharing your experiences! I would love to try acupuncture for stress relief alone! My mother goes for back pain from a sport injury years ago. She says it really works! I'm a believer!

CatLuver, how are things going? Thinking of you! Don't worry, there's still time! Maybe the OPK missed the surge and you did O when you had the CF? Are you doing them just once a day? Or you might O a few days later!

Lynnie, you are INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much! That is so helpful and wow, so nice. How are you doing? I love how you and Noel are cycle twins!

Krissie, huge hugs! How great that you know when you O'd based on Eva and FF. I am so jealous! Being in the dark is no fun! Congrats to your DH and yay for the summer vacay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go do your super lazy beach getaway! DUST!

Brightlight... HELLO! Wow, CD36. It's not over until it's over! Last cycle for me was 40 days long! Wow! I traveled and it really delayed my ovulation.

Charbie! Ohhhh, thinking of you! Cramps sound promising!

Hi PO!!! Wow, Eva was naughty with the 16 highs. Is this your first cycle with Eva? I've read that she doesn't usually give peaks the first cycle while she's getting to know you. Doesn't mean you didn't O!

Hi Miscka! Congrats on your first anniversary. That is a very special milestone!!! Yay for TTC! Aside from TCOYF, I just read a bunch on Fertility Friend's website. And of course, I read the TTC thread on PS!

Plantationcatt, HELLO! Lots of prayers and well wishes for your mother. I'm so sorry about AF. It is a huge bummer, but you never know! There's next month! Might be fate with the anniversary like you wrote! Let's hope for that!

Loves Vintage - HUGE HUGE HUGE buckets of dust to you in your 2WW!!!!! Thinking of you!

Hi LANIE! Great news from your RE!
36.gif
OVULATION DUST!!!!! I agree, very exciting!!!

ICEKID!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MISSED YOU! Congratulations again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*****************************************
On my end, I am still kind of scratching my head. FF thinks I might have ovulated, but I'm not so sure. My temps didn't really shift and there is a big block of data that is missing! Critical data during the time I would normally O! GAH! EVAAAAAAA! Oh, things would have been so much easier if I hadn't dropped Eva! So I'm confused. We flew back home around the time I think I would have O'd so I don't know if it was delayed or not. To relax, I had a sip of wine and the dessert cookie they offered me during the flight! The flight attendant kept pushing cookies on me! They were hot and right out of the oven so...mmm... OK, I had two! Maybe three?
31.gif
Two and a half. When DH wasn't looking, I ate his half of the cookie!

I also checked my cervix as a final resort to figure out what was going on and it went from HSO to LFC. So either it's moved on to the luteal phase or I'm anovulatory this cycle. Or both! Yesterday my (*)(*) were huge and sore, esp the nipples and I got all excited thinking maybe it was a symptom. But then that all disappeared today so maybe it was a fluke. Anyway, I'm prepared to be patient this cycle (for now!) and I'm forced to wait it out...EVAAAAAAA!!!! I tried to reset Eva but she didn't come back to life. She is flashing all sorts of weird signals. I'm going to have to buy a new one. Double GAH!

I miss Eva! She was the coolest little gadget ever! If/when AF shows up, I'm definitely going to buy an Eva 2.0!!!

Loads of dust and love to my sistas!!!!

It was not my originial intention for this stone to end up in the baby ring, but the timing is too impeccable to deny! We don''t have two many colored stoners (Kunzite and Bella??)
2.gif
on TTC, but I''ll certainly share (and maybe pull a few over to CS too hehe). It''s a tsavorite (green) garnet. They''re much, much more rare than diamonds. It''s a fabulous rich, green 2.3 carat oval destined for my first Leon setting! Super exciting.
36.gif
And a big nerve-wracking purchase for me; cost around the same as my ering! I highly recommend colored stones if you''re looking for a new, expensive (but not always) hobby

First off, I would like to say a big CONGRATS to all the lovely ladies who have gotten BFP''s this year. I am silently following all of your stories and I truly could not be happier for you. Here''s to happy and healthy pregnancies and equally happy and healthy babies!

Forgive me but I do have a couple questions. I thought I had a fairly decent idea of CM and all the varying kinds. However, I have always had A LOT of CM. Over the years, I''ve started to get less and less. Which trust me, is a VERY good thing. Sorry if TMI, but constantly being "wet" down there gets quite annoying. So anyway, I think I finally have a *normal* amount within my cycle and now I am just trying to figure out the whole consistency and color. This morning which would be CD12, I had A LOT of CM. It has the consistency of egg whites but was not fully *white*. It had a yellowish tinge to it. So when you ladies say EWCM, do you mean that not only does it resemble the consistency of eggwhites, that is also has the same color? Sorry if that is a silly question. I''m beginning to think that what I always thought was my EWCM really was not... how funny would that be? Haha.

If that was my EWCM and I am ovulating, it''s my understanding that I would then get my period 14 days from now? That would put me at AF on April 12th or so. By my charting, I should expect AF April 16th. So perhaps, it is... I mean, it''s not too far off right? But then, that would put me at a cycle of 26 days which would be abnormal for me considering my average is 29 days. Oh, I don''t know. This whole thing confuses me so much! I don''t know how you ladies do it... I really don''t. I guess when I am truly trying to conceive, I will not be charting and just have to do it the old fashion way. haha.

Anyway, if anyone has any insight or if you can even weed in and out of my mumbo jumbo, it''s greatly appreciated!!

Loves Vintage - I hope you get a BFP this month! Hopefully, you won''t have to wait very long. I hear ya about paying attention to every slight twinge!

noelwr - Yay for ovulation! I hope you get lucky this cycle! Thanks so much for your well wishes. That''s an interesting chart you found. I would be interested in seeing the days before O chart if you can find it again.

Bliss - Sorry you broke your Eva! Maybe you''ll get lucky too this month and all the stars will align for you!

Miscka - I get most of my information from various websites. I''m considering testing out the on-line beta version of TCOYF. You might want to check it out.

plantationcatt - So sorry about your BFN. I hear ya about being sad about the negative. I keep staring at the stick hoping that second line will pop up. So, so glad your mom''s surgery went well!

dcgator - Keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP for you too!

Lanie - Glad your RE visit went well! RE: feeling ovulation, I have read that some women feel a little pain just prior to ovulation from the follicular fluid (not sure if that''s what it''s called) leaking prior to ovulation. RE: frequency of BDing, I read if the man has normal, healthy sperm it''s ok to BD everyday. However, if the man has a low sperm count, it''s best to BD every 2-3 days so he can refill his reserves so to speak.

charbie - Good luck in July! Would that be an April baby?

icekid - I don''t know, I''ve never had a cycle remotely this long. I hope you continue to feel great and your morning sickness doesn''t get too bad. Your new stone sounds delicious!

CatLuver - I hope you get a positive OPK. Glad your BDing just in case. I dunno how I feel about ewcm anymore. Mine''s been confusing this month too.

As for me, it''s CD38.75 and still no AF. My cycle has always been predictable until now when I''m trying to get knocked up.

My laptop just went crazy on me and I lost the huge post I just wrote. Hopefully I'll remember most of what I wrote to everyone...

Miscka - Welcome to TTC! If you read TCOYF and go through FF you should have all of the info you need to get started. I hadn't talked to any of my friends IRL about TTC until today. My best friend asked if we were trying yet and I told her yes. She was super excited, but somehow by telling people that we're trying I feel like I'm going to jinx the whole thing.

plantationcatt - I'm thinking about you and your familiy. I would take the date as fate. I look at things like that as a sign, good luck!

dcgator - 4 days doesn't sound so bad. Hope you get some answers!

Lanie - OMG sooo excited that the Femara worked so well for you. How exciting! I don't think I've ever felt O. I get twinges every now and then but they never line up with O so I just assume they're gas

I think TTC makes us all very aware of our bodies and that means we can come up with some crazy symptoms.

noelwr - Thank you for the chart. I like for things to be in numbers. Like CatLuver, I'd be interested to know if they combination of two days makes a difference. I'll have to search around for the other BD date chart that you mention. I would love to see something like that.

LV - Still pulling for you!

brightlight - No need to apologize for your post. We're all eager to find out what's going on.

Bliss - Welcome back! Isn't it strange when you suddenly don't have any information (OPKs, temps). I skipped a month of charting and it made me feel like I was back in the dark ages! Good luck with a Mexico baby.

icekid - So cool that you're going to set your Tsav in a Leon. That is sure to be a stunning ring! Do you already know what style you want or are you going to let Leon have his way? Is this a new Tsav? I actually saw something on DB the other day that I wanted and I couldn't decide if it would be bad luck to have DH get me a push present before we're even KU. I think it might be...

Not much to report here. I had a BFN this morning but that's not surprising since I'm only 8dpo. No spotting yet but I do feel cramps starting. This is about the time I would normally feel some cramping so I'm not sure how to take it. It's either good (implantation) or bad (AF) no matter how I interpret them, so I guess it doesn't matter. Will test again tomorrow because I'm not patient enough to wait a few days for AF!

Hi IHA

I have TCOYF right here and it says, "It's usually clear or partially streaked, but it can be yellow, pink, or red tinged." Your LP might be slightly longer than 14 days, the 14 is really just an average. I actually only have EWCM up until the day before I O, so just because you have EW right now doesn't mean that you've O'd yet I usually have 4 -5 days of EWCM before O. You should count your LP from the last day you have it.

Hope that helps!

Boy, I still have SO much to learn...

first of all, today is CD14 and I am now in 2WW. I think I Od yesterday (CD13), so we BDed O-5, O-3, O-2, O-1 and O. last night was just in case I O today. so if it doesn't happen this cycle, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the timing being wrong. yah, according to the chart I posted, it doesn't seem like there's that much % difference between BD-ing every fertile day as opposed to every other, but if I remember correctly the website actually did make it sound like 4% difference was a big deal. regarding fertile sperm regeneration, the consensus seems to be that even though sperm count goes down with bd-ing every day, there are millions of sperm. so 7 million vs 3.5 million (just making up numbers here) isn't a train smash, and that is why most websites recommend bd-ing 3 days in a row once you get a + OPK, and if you BDed the day before the + OPK, that is a bonus.

regarding the other chart I can't find, it looked like chances of getting pregnant went up exponentially from bd-ing on O-3 to O-2. with O-2, O-1 and O being the greatest probability days. anyway, I'll look for the chart tomorrow. but don't worry if your BD-ing days don't match up to these. plenty of women on here have proven that it is really possible O-6 to O-4.

good luck to everyone nearly at the end of the 2WW!

Icekid - Sounds like your push present is going to be very very lovely! And, a LEON at that -- your tsavorite is destined to be a fabulous ring!! Wow, 4 weeks and 3 days already, my, my how time flies, eh? So funny how you fibbed to the dr''s office for a more ideal apptmt time.

Anyway, to answer your question, I won''t be able to test until APRIL 8TH, and even then, there''s still a slight chance that it''s the old HCG, so I will probably "test it out" as I get closer. They are only testing progesterone and estrogen today, no chance at an HCG test, which makes sense considering my body likely would not be producing its own yet. I also mentioned the prickly twinges I felt to the nurse and asked if it could be implantation, she said "No!" and that I would not feel implantation. Oh well.

Catluver - Did you get a positive OPK this morning?

Bliss - I''ve got a very good feeling about you this month!!!

IHA - To further help define egg white consistency, you are looking for the consistency of raw egg white, so it should generally be clear (perhaps with a tinge of color), but not opaque. Hope that helps.

Brightlight - Hope you get some clarity soon!

Kunzite - Ahhh, how great that you''re testing early and often? Keep us posted!! It is still very very early!! BTW, love the stone in your avatar? Love the faceting, and I have to ask - is it a Barry cut?

Noel - Welcome to the 2ww! Hope it passes quickly for you and results in a nice BFP!!
