The two week club!

Officially waiting for my FINAL UPGRADE to be set!! She is a 3.02 Pear and will be flanked by 2 x .30 Pears. Here is a pic of the combo! I am waiting for the wax mold to be made and then once approved she will be off to production! I have attached my inspo, which is a very traditional 3 stone. I wanted something timeless…

Beautiful!

I cannot WAIT to see this on your finger!!!! I love the inspiration picture! So glad you decided on the smaller sides! :kiss2:

Thank you! I still go back and forth on the sides and trusting Yekutial’s eye! Lol! We all know I like substantial jewelry . I’m hoping I don’t develop DSS with this lovely, because her overall faceup when I compare on Diamondb is smaller than Coco, but she is elongated- and just a different vibe all together! I just love it here in PS where we can still be satisfied with other people’s purchases. I’m going to miss the hunt for my Pear!

Oooh, should be so pretty! What color are the diamonds - they look very sparkly!

Love my new Tiffany T-1. She's beautiful.

The only problem is that she doesn't fit!!! What a disappointment. The ring came directly to our house for my husband to give to me on Valentine's Day. A Tiffany sales associate had placed the order, when we were in the store, with what she felt would be the size I needed. Based on other rings I have, the size she ordered should have been correct and on the looser side.

But when I went to try my new ring on, I couldn't battle it over the knuckle of my right hand. It was bought as a RHR, and the in-store sizing was determined by using only my right hand.

The ring finger on my left hand is 1/4 size smaller than my right. So, I was able to briefly squeeze the T-1 onto my wedding ring finger. And I mean "squeeze". But even with the ring going over the knuckle, it was very snug and uncomfortable on left hand. It actually gave me muffin finger on the lower part of my finger. I never have had this problem with rings I can get over my knuckle. My knuckles are the largest part of my fingers. My current, properly fitted rings have enough space (when in place & in really cold weather) that they will slightly spin a tiny bit. Not enough for sizing beads, but enough to not feel binding and to manually turn the ring back and forth around the finger.

I'll now have to called Tiffanys next week for an appointment to take the T-1 in to see if they can do a proper sizing on my new ring. Based on the size ordered, it shouldn't be so tight it cuts off my circulation!!! Although I did struggle to get it on & off my left (smaller) hand, I never forced it the whole way on my right hand because I was afraid (that if I did) that I wouldn't be able to get it off. That could have been disastrous with my circulation obviously being cut off. You can see.

I'm so sad that my new T-1 is now back in its little blue box, and I can't wear it.

That looks a good 2 sizes two small! I would insist on a new ring the correct size not resizing this one.

I know how disappointing this can be. Obviously a mistake on their part somewhere, either in the order or the shipment. I assume you will not accept resizing as the solution. I wouldn't. Please some back and let us know what they say.

She'll be on your finger soon!

The sales associate who sold us the ring won't be in until Thursday. However, another SA gave her the message & our SA then immediately contacted us to set up an appointment for next week.

This week wouldn't have been good for us anyhow because we're supposed to have heavy snow for 2 days and then daytime tempts around zero with nights in the -15 (actual tempts) range. So, I wouldn't want to go out this week, even if I could have gotten an appointment immediately. Nevertheless, I hate having to wait.

At least, Tiffanys now knows about the sizing problem. Next week, we'll see what they will do about the situation. Either I get a new ring in the proper size, or I'll ask for a full refund, rather than an exchange for a different ring that could have the same sizing problem. I'm hoping to be able to just get a new T-1 in the proper size...

Although it doesn't sparkle as much as in the showroom (expected), it is such a very pretty ring & goes so well with the T-wire I have. I really want this ring & will be sad if I have to walk away from it.

Meanwhile, we did put the ring on our ring mandrel, and it is 1 1/2 sizes too small!!! No wonder I couldn't squeeze it on!

The work order by the SA has in writing what should have been the proper size. The work order that came back with the sized ring says that Tiffany took the next larger full size (that felt loose on me) and sized it down 1/4 size as the SA requested. Instead, I ended up with a ring that is much tighter than the smaller full size that I couldn't start to squeeze on my finger. So, nothing makes sense.

Obviously, someone somewhere made a mistake, but I don't think it was the SA when she placed the order. The work order that came with the ring also says they did as she requested. Now, I'm a bit nervous about asking for a larger size to be resized down 1/4 size again. If we keep playing this custom sizing game, I'm afraid of getting a ring that still doesn't fit (like this time) & that I'll then have to immediately resell it for a big loss.

So far, Tiffany has been very responsive in responding. But the true test will be whatever happens next week.

For them, there is just more than one ring at stake in getting this sizing situation correct. I already have other Tiffany's rings registered with them on my "wish list". The "wish list" is for Hubby to go to when another special occasion comes around. If I end up happily being able to wear the T-1, I'll firmly him of that list. If not, no more Tiffany jewelry for me.

Frankly, I'd rather have the T-1 on my hand and be able to look forward to possible more Tiffanys goodies in the future.

I took my T-1 ring, that my husband gave me for Valentine's Day, (see my previous posts) back to Tiffanys today. Despite the ring not coming close to fitting (see previous photo), the SA and her manager still insisted that the ring should fit me.

Meanwhile, it is over a full size smaller on our mandrel than any of my other ring finger rings, including the ones I was wearing today.

Because Tiffany "sized the ring down" before I received it, they will not accept a return. So now, they're sizing it back up to the original full size in which the SA originally said needed to be sized down to what I received.

This makes no sense to either my husband or myself. Nevertheless, Tiffanys won't replace the ring. They will only keep resizing it (up-down-I don't know what).

When I was originally in the store in early February, the half size (down from the full size they're going to go back up to again), did fit on my ring finger. However, it felt a hair snug. It did easily go over my knuckle and did not cut off my circulation. It merely felt a bit snugger that I like, but not horrible.

The next full size up (which they're going to size back up to again) was too loose. So, they supposedly took that full size and sized it down 1/4 size. In theory, this should have fit and because it would have been 1/4 size larger than the half size down which I could get on in the store. Does that make sense? However, the 3/4 size (1/4 size bigger than the half size I had tried in the store) I got ended so tight that it won't go over my knuckle.

The store manager (called in by the SA who sold us the ring) tried to force the ring over my knuckle in the store today, insisting that maybe the warmer day (60 degrees) had made my hand swell up & that ring sizing was not a problem, the weather was. As soon as she tried to shove the ring onto my knuckle, my circulation started to be cut off, just like in the above photo. If none of this makes sense to you, it doesn't to us either.

My wedding set on my left hand and the RHR I wore into Tiffanys today on my ring finger: all fit just the same this week as they did the first time we went into the Tiffany store. If anything, those spin a little. So, why would 60 degrees outside make my finger suddenly too big for only the Tiffany ring??? We also received the Tiffany ring when the weather was close to zero outdoors. It didn't fit then either. So why were the Tiffany employees suddenly telling me that it was my (or the weather's) fault that the new (never worn) T-1 doesn't fit? The SA sized the ring originally. I didn't tell her a size. She was the one to determine the size I would need.

The bottom line is I'm now stuck with the ring. No replacement. The only thing Tiffanys will do is keep resizing it until it goes over my knuckle and also not slip off - if that is even possible. Since I haven't even been able to get this new ring onto my ring finger (not even once), it is brand new and totally unworn. So deep discounting it for the resale market would be a bigger blow than we can afford. What a mess. And very unexpected. I really like the ring.

My brand-new Tiffany ring will be a multi time resized ring before I can ever get to wear it, if they can ever get the sizing right. IMHO, this is crazy.

Anyhow, it will now be 3 more weeks before the resized (back to the original full size that was too big in the store) gets back to me from New York.

Has anyone else ever had an experience like this with Tiffany rings and sizing??? Does all this resizing and re resizing nonsense now ruin the integrity of my brand new ring? It has pave diamonds, as in the photo.

For those who missed my previous posts, this is the ring in question: https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/rings/tiffany-t-t1-narrow-ring-GRP12626/

What started out to be a wonderful adventure into the world of Tiffany jewelry has now become a pain in the you-know-what. I still feel it's a gorgeous, very modern, high quality ring. But this sizing up and down and down and up and whatever has taken a lot of the glow of the experience away. We went to the Tiffany store - rather than order it via the Internet - to make sure the ring we bought would be the correct size. Now, here we are.

PS Browsing the entire Tiffany store this time was interesting, but I didn't add anything at all new to my "wish list". My husband muttered something under his breath which sounded like relief. Meanwhile, I hope the next time the T-1 arrives, it fits. Guess I'll know around St Patrick's Day. I'm a bit apprehensive.

What a nightmare! I hope they finally get it right.

I feel your pain @starbrite . :(2 I hope that you can enjoy your beautiful ring after they get the size right!

Reminds me of the time I was a bridesmaid and the SA ordered me a size up ( 8 ), compared to the 6 in the
showroom that I tried on and fit, because my hip measurement was 1 inch over the recommended size chart.
Note it was an empire-shaped dress that flowed out from under the bust on down. Hip measurement didnt
really come into play. The SA never told me she was going to order me the 8 or I would have pointed out
that the 6 fit nicely!

I also got to pay for extra length because I was 5'8". When my dress (in a size 8) arrived, it was too big all over,
and they had to cut off the extra 5 inches to hem it to the right length. What a pain that didnt have to happen!

Anyhow, I hope this all gets resolved soon!

Check these Babies out! 2 ctw, yellow gold Diamond Huggies… these were a rehab project from a ring I purchased, and sent them to DK to create Huggies! My first pair! DK is always such a pleasure to work with! 109758-5 (1).jpeg

I'm obsessed! Would you be willing to share your cads? I am interested in doing something similar (with much smaller stones... but still - I love the look!)

And PS: Wish someone had told me not to watch the movie Me Before You … I’ve been sobbing for the past hour uncontrollably :cry2::kiss2::lol:

Ugh, I HATE my mailman. Seriously, it’s 10pm and he just delivered my Tiffany band. I’m half awake in bed, now I have to decide if I get dressed and go get it or hope I remember to grab it in the morning on the way to work.

Set an alarm on your phone with a message reminding you to grab the ring!

My ring is finally shipping today! The bench was sick so it’s a few days late but the seller upgraded my shipping so hopefully I’ll have it by the weekend!

It’s here! I have an older phone so my camera quality is lacking, but the emeralds are amazing in person. They’re cabochon cut, which feels a bit more unique. I was worried the .29 would be too small but I’m one of the lucky people who doesn’t suffer from DSS!

So This Is Love ….

Prince Charming has arrived

Antique Tiffany platinum band
Birthday 1-18-28

His main role is to protect and preserve Cinderella’s engraving from rubbing against Flora’s prongs.

Would she have been ok without her Prince Charming? Probably

Did I use it as an excuse to have another piece of history? Absolutely :lol:IMG_4858.jpegIMG_4862.jpegIMG_4850.jpegIMG_4851.jpegIMG_4854.jpeg

Prince Charming has this uncanny ability to change from platinum to 22k yellow gold and to a beautiful rose gold pink. I’ll make sure to post a picture soon

I see a couple pictures are way out of focus. Sorry I was too lazy to get off the couch and get some better lighting lol

Probably more like three weeks away but I’m finally setting my 3.18 ct yellow radiant!!! It has been the bane of my existence since I purchased it last summer. I just couldn’t seem to get the setting right. I came very close to listing it in pre loved. I’m excited that it is finally being set and I hope I’m happy with it.
