Spectacular, congratulations!! I bet the zircon in the OEC cut is quite the dispersion light show!

Well... I can tell you I love it as well. The colours and proportions of this ring are so sophisticated and fine. As if molded on your finger. Beautiful flow

Stunning!! Congrats with your JW zircon. Gorgeous colour. Is that a new ring I see in the left corner?

Just reviving this thread because I happened to read an article on zircon and I think that it's such an interesting gemstone. I wonder how does one tell if a zircon is high, intermediate or low? The colour? Clarity? Do you just assume a faceted gem quality zircon is intermediate to high? Are blues intermediate to high because they've (most likely) been heated?

The blue one in this pic (from the article) is just :kiss2:!

Also want to share this champagne zircon on Etsy because the shape would look so cool and unique in a necklace.... but the price is o_O. I would spend this amount on a sapphire instead but it's certainly worth oogling.

I love blue zircons, have an amazing pair of 7 mm studs made recently by DanielM.

I'm also doing an experiment by having Dan set a pretty 6 mm blue zircon from CRD with a pair of 4 mm silver spinels in a hexaonal design in 14K RG. I'm not the biggest diamond fan, so I thought I'd try some silver spinels as an alternative. We shall see... Don't hate diamonds, but think they are often over priced and thought it would be fun to try this out!.

Sounds interesting. I find well cut round brilliant white sapphires work decently as diamond "substitutes", particularly if they're not set or worn with actual diamonds . Of course there's also lab diamonds and moissanite for those who don't mind lab created. I love silver spinels and think they will go nicely with zircon blue.

Thanks, roxta! These spinels were really sparkly, so I think the results should be good.

Very pretty! ^^^
Who is "Dan" and "CRD"?

Dan just finished this lovely blue zircon ring for me. The sides are silver spinels and all three gems are from CRD. Can't wait to have it on my hand!

I love zircon! I have several that haven’t been set yet that were cut by Jeff Davies. I just listed one of the pink ones on Loupe Troop because it’s too big for me to wear at almost 3cts.

I also have a round pink, an oval pink and a square blue that are still not set unfortunately and some vintage jewelry with really pretty blue zircons too.

Dan is Daniel M, he has a shop on Etsy. CRD is Cecile Raley Designs which is also on Etsy. Both do very good custom jewelry design! Yvonne, the owner of CRD, only sets gems that she sells due to insurance concerns, but Dan sets client's own gems. Both of them have pages dedicated to their work in the Colored Stone forum here on PS.

I don't think I have added this here, but forgive me if i have. Here is my 10 x 8 rose cut slightly champagne colored zircon ring. I had DanielM make for me in a rose gold halo with white gold shank. I love it so much, as it's so different from all my other rings and scratches the itch for a rose cut diamond at a tiny fraction of the price. (Forgive my nails, I was painting the exterior of a building yesterday and they are stained.)20211111_085729.jpg

Beautiful stone and setting! Don't think I've seen a zircon in that delicate champagne color before, it's a great substitute for a rose cut diamond :)

I would never guess that was a zircon! It looks like a lovely morganite or a peachy sapphire!

I suppose I should update my post with my finished ring. This is the one with the pinkish champagne purplish unheated one.

What a beautiful and dreamy colour! Stunning ring. What a royal look.

I've posted this before in Men's Bling, but I guess it belongs here too.

The setting was made by a local jeweller here in Brisbane, Australia - Anthony's Fine Jewellery. They have a very creative designer.
