I'd like to apologize to Jennifer too - I started this thread for a laugh with some crappy jewelry I found on an auction website, it was never intended to hurt anyone's feelings, and it makes me really angry that someone used it completely inappropriately.

And I think Lauratabs is a pathetic and probably jealous person who will never have anyone spend ONE TENTH on her, over the course of her whole life, than what your husband probably spent on that gorgeous set, Jennifer.

Wow--I went to sleep early last night and missed the infamous post but I was alerted to it by a friend this morning and I want to thank Leonid for removing it.

First and foremost, thank you for the continued support. The generousity and good natures of most Pricescope members are what make this a wonderful place to learn, share and enjoy diamonds and jewelry.

Muppetina--Why should you apologize? You did nothing wrong. Again, I appreciate your kindness but no one could ever hold you accountable for another forum member's inappropriate post.

As far as the person who posted, the thing that disturbs me the most is why, after weeks and weeks, is this still an issue with her? The original thread, where there was a vigorous, healthy debate on posting with tact, has long since faded into the archives. I am sorry that this member is so bothered by such a trivial matter as to post here in such a manner. I hope she gets over it soon. Life is just full of too many more important things, like enjoying our jewelry and loving and appreciating the people who gift us with it.

Just food for thought, you can bash all these pieces even though it might be offensive to someone, like the designer or even who owned one of them? Not that I particularly care for any of them, but someone might, so let's just be careful. There probably is jealousy and envy involved, but let's be frank, everyone is jealous of something on PS that someone owns and a few people probably think there's a few people with too much time and money on their hands, but may not say it out loud. That doesn't mean it isn't being thought. And isn't the anonymity of the web what allows people to say what they really feel?
