Yes you’re right should have led with that! Here it is and it looks a bit like my zircon!
Woah, your aqua looks gorgeous! Better than the zircon imo.

Beautiful! Obviously a lot of care has been put into bringing out the best in the stone, and it looks fab. =)2 Oh, and the zircon is lovely too, of course! ;)2

That is beautiful and dreamy! It definitely qualifies! Congrats on getting it.:)

Thank you! I am enjoying it. I actually considered returning it because I already have similar shade of blue in the zircon and zircons look a bit better in indoor lighting and at night.
Aquas are less saturated than zircons too but then I decided to keep it simply because it’s not just blue it’s kind of blue grey and white. So I did keep it because it’s a bit unusual!

I’m glad you did because unusual gems are just so wonderful! They feel more personal somehow.

This is a two tone sapphire, yellow in the middle, orange at the ends, pretty big about 6 carats.
Excuse my fingers being yuk.

That’s such a cool stone, and I love the shape. You could really design around it! So much interesting uniqueness to work with in that one!

Such rare and unique stones, I felt they belong here too!

I've never seen one in green. It's stunning!
The green ones with pure color especially are just super rare. ( there are some black stars with a green sheen which are more available. And others are mostly in the olive green color range) It was amazing for me to see these since we know they exist, so seeing pictures of one let alone 2 in this quality is great... True unicorns!

Wow, I’ve never seen anything like these before. Unique and beautiful!

The look of a phenomenon in the sky of a moonstone. It looks like some kind of wonderful solar event.

Wow, they are gorgeous, they look almost like yummy lollies.
Though I’m sure if anyone swallowed one it would be off to the ER for stomach pumping. Not for the benefit of the “patient” but to rescue the “unicorn”.

I felt that this beautiful jadeite ring deserved to be here because of the amazingly gorgeous, organic setting and the lovely color.

 Wow, I love that setting, and the jade looks like a translucent imperial green, too!

I absolutely love the combination of green stones, yellow gold and leafy/nature elements. It's one of my absolute favorite looks for rings.

Picked these Moroccan Amethysts at the Springfield Gem & Mineral show today. I liked the funky shapes, color zoning and red fibrous inclusions. To keep the costs low, I'm having then wirewrapped in 14k yg filled sugarloaf ring and a pendant IMG_20180811_152043.jpg

These are not rare, but I find them to be unusual.
Here are some of my dendritic agates.
I am really drawn to them. The black spots are like Rorschach ink blots. I love them!
I made the first 3, and the last ring is vintage 1930s.

I thought this thread had more traffic; or perhaps this isn't the colored stone version of "unique interesting or just odd stones" that is in RT (which I think is just for diamonds) but I am posting this anyway because I am intrigued by it and think it is pretty. It is a 4.8 Congolese Tourmaline. How would you set it if you had it?? The shape is so unusual I wouldn't know what to do with it exactly but I think it's pretty!

Oh yes I was thinking a ring but just with simple prongs, a bezel or extra stones?

I would set it as plainly as poss in gold, no side stones, bezel set...let that pretty puppy shine!
