Hi @teslagirl1234. Any news on your emerald cut journey?

I came back to this thread as I was looking at doing something similar. I’m still on the fence deciding whether I would miss the light return.

Eager to see what you have decided!

I ended up waiting to upgrade and save for a larger stone. I did also wonder about missing sparkle of a round and I think it might bother me when emerald cut turns and isn’t square with my finger, which isn’t an issue with round as it’s round and always looks symmetric.

That’s great. I hadn’t thought of the EC turning. Are you talking about the difference in height between the second last and last finger which makes the whole ring slant? Would that still happen noticeably with a 3 stone?

Probably would be less noticeable with a 3 stone.

I still much prefer your round stone to the emerald cut! You won’t get the sparkle and the emerald cut showed color way more readily than the round. Just my .02 for what it is worth - lol!
