Well, Now Brett Kavanaugh Can Face His Accuser

Well, no Matata. CLEARLY if you are educated you'd know that the white shit trailing off the bottom of his shoes is there to absorb liberal tears. Duh. #MAGA

This is actually just your opinion, and I have a different opinion. I think the fake news media planted it on his shoes. Probably because they were brainwashed during college.

Clearly. And college should cost as much as we can possibly make it cost. Oh! Did you check your 401k? Doing great, right?

What? Oh that's nothing. Just some stupid bitch acting up and forgetting her place. Nothing to see here...#MAGA

See? Instant reply. And you're not logical, but definitely emotional. As much as you want to put off the cool hand luke vibe, it's not working. I would have more respect for you if you just said "Hey, my parents were conservative republicans, THEIR parents were conservative republicans, and it's just how I was raised." Because THAT I could relate to. And you'd basically be one of the many of bat-shit family members that I have to put up with on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis.

I've noticed this as well. Both Red and the _mother_thing constantly assert at every opportunity that they are so logical, so fact-based, and then turn around and post as emotionally as others have, with cognitive distortions and blatant partisanship out the wazoo. It's kind of fascinating. Why not admit to being human and struggling, like the rest of us, to cope with strong feelings about important issues and how to separate those feelings from workable viewpoints on governance and policy? I've no shame for the fact that I have very strong feelings about what we discuss on these threads. I do try, all the time, to not be governed by those feelings and to deal in facts and rational thinking as much as I can, as I believe is my responsibility as a human and a voting citizen, but I certainly have a variable record of success at doing so, and I own that.

What's that? No 401k savings from any of those three jobs that still don't pay all the bills and keep you from spending any time with your children? Well, guess you just didn't work hard enough. Tough $hit for you!

This might be the most honest post I've ever read on here.

Well that's because you didn't pull yourself up by your bootstraps hard enough! If you just worked harder and were a better person, you would have seen an increase in savings! :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

And? I’ve read at least a dozen references on here today to “old white men” in this thread and no one bats an eye. If you have a problem with my choice of words, be sure to police others as well.

If you want me to police a writer you must tell me what pejorative thing he has said about "old white men". "Old white men" in itself is a neutral, descriptive phrase.

In fact, when I think of "old white men" in general I do not get a bad image in my mind. It is only when I think of old, white, Republican men in a government office building-especially on one of the pictures that shows the most powerful men in the country without a single woman present-that I get an angry feeling.

Show me a photo of a bowling team of elderly men and I will smile. :))

You have stated that it was reasonable for Merrick Garland to not be considered since Obama already got 2 picks. Now Trump will get his 2. If another SC opening comes up before a democrat president is elected, what do you think should happen?
Wait till 2025?.

DF, shhhhh......let the grown ups talk. Stop popping in with one line here and there that you cherry pick to stay relevant. o_O
you mean "let the liberals talk" ? everyone else shut up and listen .

That is your fault for not getting a good education. Pleases don't blame the society.. I don't have a 401K and I don't blame anyone else but myself.

Why should I work harder ? that would disqualify me from free housing, etc,etc... Why work when I can get FREEbies?

How Trump weaponizes victimhood to be used by the powerful.

Compared to someone actually being sexual assaulted (which, again, there’s zero evidence in this case someone was), I think a two-word euphemism is pretty ... well, trivial ... in the grand scheme of things.
There is also, zero evidence to prove it didn't happen, which is why credibility is so important. If he is being untruthful about other things, then why should anyone believe him. Many sexual assault cases boil down to he said/she said. No one questions the credibility of male victims when they come forward decades later to say they were sexually abused as a child (she was a child) or bashes them for having no physical proof.

If Ford were my daughter and/or Kav my son, I’d be very pissed off at how all of the allegations (especially given they were ALL uncorroborated Again most cases like this have no corroboration, that doesn't mean it didn't happen, which is where credibility becomes important) were handled by the very people elected to uphold the law & constitution, and for those very people not following the well-established procedures of their own committee for handling such sensitive matters. And I’d be calling for their resignations vs. rushing to blame an entire segment of the population who had nothing to do with the case at hand. I can agree with you that this was handled terribly, but that fault lies with both parties. McConnel has made it very clear to any reasonable person that he wanted to just sweep this under the rug and push thru the nomination.

Everyone wants to give men grief for their behavior of ‘yesterday’ and in cases of actual rape/sexual assault, it’s much deserved. But you also need to acknowledge the reality and truth that a lot of these women today were not exactly innocent little feminists ‘yesterday’ either. There are some women who ‘yesterday’ were quite happy to be in the company of the very men they seem to loathe today (as evidenced by how much they continued to socialize with the very people they now protest) ... such as Swetnick who seems to have been a big fan of the alleged gang rape parties. No one is perfect, we all have skeletons in our closets and things in our past that are no longer who we are today. You are using feminist as a derogatory term and I take offense to that, just as you take offense to @Calliecake generalizing old white men. There are bad apples in every bunch. As to the Swetnick statement that is just insulting. Also, you are victim blaming! Life isn't always so black and white.

She was being abused by her husband, why didn't she leave. She must have been okay with the abuse. Absolutley no-one says these ridiculous things when a male child comes forward and says that he was molested/raped as a child at school/church. Why did he stay at the school he must have been okay with it. Why did the players stay at Penn State, they must have liked being raped by Sandusky. They should have transferred schools. Do you not see how preposterous that sounds when applied to other scenerios, your showing the double standard that applies to female victims when they come forward which is why so many people are enraged!

No one deserves to be assaulted or raped, but if these women in the Kav case didn’t have a problem with the alleged sexual behaviors of ‘yesterday’ when they were willing attendees at such parties and ‘games’, their sudden holier than thou attitude does not justify ruining someone’s life today because you had some sort of epiphany. If it does, then you have to afford men the same courtesy, that they too may have ‘grown up’ and grown out of their behavior of ‘yesterday’.But that is not what he said, If he had come out and said he had issues with alcohol and aggression as a youth and has since turned his life around, acknowledged that while he didn't remember these events he drank heavily -it would be different. Instead he lied and tried to portray himself as an alter boy

Did you not get the memo? I’m a woman, you MUST believe me. :wavey:

But MOT I do believe you about your #metoo moment. I absolutely do.I don't believe in a conservative America, but I do believe you had an attack by a man/boy of another race.

Perhaps that ‘memo’ is what’s stuck to the bottom of Chump’s shoe.

I agree with this, I struggle also. I can say I hadn't even made up my mind until Kavanaugh went on his rant about my party, the Clintons etc. THAT was wrong. So I formed the opinion that his temperment is wrong and he's a right wing partisan. Where was his proof that the CLINTON's! were behind this? that my friend is paranoia. I always try to step into others shoes. I believe that fair minded women find this deplorable because there is no use reporting something that so traumatizes you without being called a wanker etc. I think this has set back equality for women by years of not decades.

This is why Trump is sooooooooooooooo dangerous, his base will believe this. We are teetering my friends on the end of a democracy.. NEVER EVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THIS EVER. My father would be freaking out if he were alive. God what a POS Trump is..

Trump claimed that billionaire liberal activist George Soros is among those funding the demonstrations against the judge, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. He did not provide evidence for his claim.

And my last words ladies:

Revolution
You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right
You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right
You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao *sub trump here*
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right

They believe it hook, line, and sinker. And if they DON'T, they at the very least have no problem with him posting it.

This is an anti-semitic dogwhistle. George Soros is invoked yet again. It reminds me of Brett Kavanaugh's rant in his opening statement during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, only Kavanaugh blamed the Clintons, not George Soros. These SOBs always need a scapegoat. There couldn't possibly be any legitimate American women protesting.

I had to double check that it wasn't tweeted from a parody account. Although, at this point, none of his insane tweets really surprise me.

Last night was quite emotional for a number of people including me. I apologize for my snark to those that are normally able to have a decent conversation.

What is your point in posting this?
Another viewpoint from a woman who can write my POV exceptionally better than I. Does it have to be something nefarious?
