Hey everyone! I went dress shopping today and these are the front runners. I am looking for something that is striking, classic, and yet not what you''ve seen on every bride. So far, I really like mermaid styles. So here goes...

First, a dress by Jenny Lee...

The back of the Jenny Lee...

Closer up view of the back of the Jenny Lee...love the back view. It''s tucked under up top because I would have them lower the back.

And the side view of the jenny Lee...

Okay, the next one is by Christos. It has a really unique sash around the thighs with a gorgeous lace overlay.

This one I can''t remember who makes it, but it''s one of the only ones with straps that I have tried on...

I can''t remember who this one is made by either, but it was really big, so please ignore the extra fabric under the sash and on my butt...

Okay, last one from this shopping trip, by Monique Lhuillier...

Ooh, that last one is fun and pretty! I like them all so far except the one with the straps. You are obviously very petite, but the one with your straps make your back look broad for some reason.

ETA, oops, you posted whlie I was writing. I like the one before the one above...sash and no lace.

With a veil...

They all look fabulous on you, but I think the one with the most striking detail is the Christos. The back is awesome.

Okay, that''s it from this trip, but here are my favorite two from my previous trips (unfortunately from salons that don''t allow photographs...)

The first one is my favorite on you. You look great in all of them, but something about it stands out for me.

I like the first one the best (so elegant in its simplicity!) and I like the last one second best (but what color sash would you use?).

Also important to tell you guys...we are having a fairly formal wedding. FI loves my back and butt, so I want the dress to flatter those parts (and the rest of me too, of course). :) And like I said, I''m going for striking and a bit different, but still very classy. What do you guys think? And, please do consider the Judd and the Vera I posted last even though you can''t see pics of them on me. The Judd looks pretty similar on me as it does in the model pic, and the Vera almost looks a little better because the model is too slim up top. I am beginning to think this is going to be impossible to choose...help! :)

I like the first one the best, and the last Monique in 2nd place.

Haha, that always happens. Yeah, not so sure about straps, but this one looked very nice. Sometimes I worry that straps are just too modest looking for me. (Not that I''m not, but well, you get the idea). :)

i love the lace ML one!!

i don''t care for the Christos. it''s like someone''s tying your legs up.

and the one with the straps wasn''t on my favorites list.

OK, with what you said into consideration, I like #2 on you. I do like the simplicity of 1, but don''t like the neckline (the fold).

the first one definitely the best out of all of them and most visually flattering to you. i love the buttons on the back and how the dress gathers in the back as well along the body. you could use really beautiful accessories to jazz up your hair and with jewelry to make it more formal. also a floor length veil would be breathtaking.

don't like the one with straps either. i like the one with the sash but the sash as is, is too overwhelming for me. the christos is beautiful on the side and back view but the front just looks like you have a weird band around your legs. the lace one is too visually much for me along with the sash, it's a pretty dress though. but out of all of them definitely the first one so far on your body.

the one with the big brown sash is probably my 2nd fave... i love the lines of the dress itself, but maybe if the sash were a tiny bit thinner or shorter or a lighter color or something, maybe a tan instead of such a dark brown. i feel like the sash takes over the dress and the lines on the dress are so classic and simple, that the sash is a bit too much.

It was super confortable too! I figured I could add detail with jewelry (of course!) and hair ornaments...

Do you not like the bronze color? We were leaning toward having brown be one of our wedding colors, so I like the idea of a brown sash, or maybe a brownish rose color...
