My husband and his father were both wearing ancient Morrison green, my father was wearing the hunting Stewart, two of the groomsmen and the usher were wearing Scottish National (the one local rental option), and the last groomsmen was wearing his alma mater''s tartan, which he borrowed from the school''s pipe band on the way to the wedding. The bridesmaid sashes were also ancient Morrison green. I think that my husband''s cousin is wearing Royal Stewart, but I forget. The piper is wearing the McInnes tartan, I think. I wasn''t sure how the mixture would look, but I actually like it more than if everybody matched.

We bought a new camera for ourselves as a wedding present to each other, so I can actually take good photos of my ring. Traffic in Maryland was HORRIBLE, so we ended up having a photo shoot in the car to kill some time.

I actually have two bands, both plain gold. The one in the pictures is a 2 mm comfort fit band (which I think looks too thin on my hand by itself) and the other is a 2.5 mm comfort fit band (which looks perfect by itself).

A couple people commented that I was the most relaxed bride that they had ever seen. There was actually a lot that could have gone wrong -- and some of it did -- but I just realized that everything was out of my control and there was no use worrying about it. (Like my brother deciding on the day of not to come, a 95-year old senile grandfather, and potential storms.) I also made the decision that whatever did not get done by dinnertime on Thursday just was not going to get done, which saved a lot of last minute stress and running around.
