I've been eyeing her dainty, minimalist pieces for a while, and finally decided to pick something up, especially after reading a favourable review from @Irishgrrrl (thank you to you too!).

And if anyone is interested to know, I made a typo in my earlier post - the emerald marquise band is the one with 9 stones, and the marquise diamond band has 11 stones. :D Just to clarify, in case anyone is considering a purchase.

This warms my heart! That is probably the cutest rat that ive ever seen.

& Ive been so quiet and such a lurker lately, heres what I'm wearing today;

-My custom 14k yellow gold bezel set untreated (Zambian) emerald cabochon ring

- A new purchase handmade in 14k yellow gold from fellow NewMexican "Anat Perez". It has a unoiled 3mm Columbian emerald and two little diamonds. I'm so obsessed with it! She sells this ring for $440.00 (rightly so for the emerald) but I was extremely lucky and found it preloved on ebay for $80.00! The little Emmy has great sparkle and clarity.

It was one of the most synchronistic purchases ever as two years prior I saw Anat and her booth in person at our local renaissance fair and I LOVED her work; all hammered yellow gold like lost ancient relics with yummy little gemstones but alas they were out of reach then pricewise but I never forgot about her work and I always wished that I had remembered her name. So having a piece, is amazing let alone one that I would have chosen my self from her shop. (:

Thank you, LisaRN! I'd be happy to create a new thread for the sunflower ring though it may not happen until this evening. I just keep staring at it, the combo of that bigger purple garnet, the demantoids and the engraving details of the rose gold is amazing! I'll try to get some outdoor pictures today though it is cloudy.
 
@leslie1956 now I'm not the only one with demantoid garnets for the petals on the sunflower ring. I think you chose a winning color combination. Your demantoids look so good in rose gold, you're tempting me to get more to set in an eternity ring.

Here's what I'm wearing today. In certain angles the purple heated sapphire shows pink, but the stars of the show are definitely the spindle, bright and a dreamy satin look without ever going dark. My phone camera doesn't photograph reds and pinks well. :(2IMG_20190201_151035636_HDR.jpg

I like your ring! You should get a demantoid eternity ring in RG, those greens really pop in the pink metal :-) I'm extremely pleased with my sunflower ring, it came together even better than I expected :-) I took some pictures of it today and the colors were vivid even though it's a rainy gray day.

True, but it would be pretty.;-) My little band was pretty reasonable and I alternated the demantoids with paraiba, so an all demantoid band would be even more so. OK, time to take off my enabler hat, lol!

Leslie, I loved your paraiba and demantoid eternity, and I've already started a 5 stone eternity with 3 demantoid and 2 paraiba, but that one will be in white gold.

One of these days I will stop being lazy and start a thread to post my jewelry projects this year. I am planning at least 12 with Yvonne, and I'm starting to think about setting a "Jedi" spinel with Ivyandrosevintage.

I'm pretty much putting 100% of my disposable income towards hobby projects. My crochet yarn is less than $200. The test of that, I've spent on gems/jewelry.
