And here's where the cream and lavender keshis are going - into a mixed strand with some white south seas and blue akoyas (plus a few white fwp to add length and balance the colours).
Wow!! That strand is going to be gorgeous! :))

I've got a blue baroque akoya strand from the POJ sale, and I'm still playing around with ideas for it. Loving this mixed look.

Thank you! I got the idea from you!

I'm still playing with it. A few more white south seas are on their way to me. I have to decide if I want to add them to the mix or keep them for a mixed bracelet. I've still got a fair number of blue akoyas to play with.

The two big ones at the front are from Hisano's Hongkong trip in the fall. I was going to return them because I had wanted a darker blue, but I just couldn't. They're too lovely.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

And thanks to Bsolmo's inspiration, I also made these!

Oops, let's try that photo again.

Oh these are lovely :appl: :appl: :appl: Great job! Just love the shape of those drops :twirl:

Wow, I envy all you jewelry makers and pearl knotters!

I am going to glue a souffle pearl onto a ring. I think I can manage a drop of glue. I think...

You are braver than me  I have done jewelry making and knotting before, but glue just scares me :o

I spent a happy hour on Saturday gluing half drilled pearls onto posts for studs (using the two part epoxy that comes in a syringe-like tube). I made five pairs (three pairs of white buttons, one of white akoyas and one golden akoyas) and only had one redo. I did consult Pattye beforehand, of course! (Thanks Pattye!).

Pattye, I ended up putting the pearls face down in a box lined with cotton wool. I made little nests for the pearls and they mostly stayed upright. The tweezers were very helpful.

Stringing is mostly easy (with a little practice). Gluing just takes a little more patience. Although it's faster.

CC's "wheat" necklace with matching earrings she made for me. These pearls are lovely pastel shades which, again, don't show in my photos so I've added a couple to show their color at the bottom:

Wow! That looks great! You have such a sense of style.

bsomlo, is your wheat necklace pokey or heavy? It's such a cool design.

And here are some close ups.

I was inspired by FLYgirl's asymmetrical mixed strand.

Ha, there is something new and colorful coming :appl: :appl: . Hope You get them finished soon and send us tons of photos. Those keshis are so shiny and dainty. Super sweet :lickout: . And Your new earrings aren't bad either :D . I haven't wear my OMC earrings since my pearl ones arrived. I love most Pattyes ripples. I just changed 14k yellow gold lever backs for them.

Isn't it sad You can't catch the colour to photos? I bet they are delicious IRL. Those earrings are so cute and makes Your look perfect. They are so unique style, that no one ever knows they are real pearls. VERY nice :loopy: .

SMC -- It is not heavy, but, unfortunately, it is pokey on bare skin which is why I wore it over a turtleneck.

I really love your wheat pearls. Thanks for posting them again!!!

PP champagne/lavender ripples with "grape cluster" pink/lavender pearl earrings. The ripples show their metallic golden colors in these shots -- they are also quite soft pink/lavender, too.

bsomlo those wheat peices are so fun! Love it with your polka dots. Those ripples look amazing in your last photo! You captured the beauty and irridecense of their color amazingly well

YOUR turn -- more and many shots of your new beauties, please!!!

Bsolmo - stunning ripples! Love the metallic gold sheen on them!

bsomlo - Your champagne/lavenders look beautiful on you and in the different light sources! I think I need longer strands to wear with turtlenecks! Or maybe invest in some inexpensive extenders that can "hide" under the turtleneck in the back!?

bsomlo Your ripples look now pale golden. They are real transformers :appl:  and those grapes :loopy:

Maybe I'm boring but I'm so fancied to this combintion, so whole week has gone with these

Not boring at all! They're lovely together. Are they heavy?

Thanks SMC. No, I don't notice they were heavy. Maybe I have used to weight already, because I have practiced layering couple of months. I remember when my first lavenders arrived from Catherine, one necklace and one rope. They felt heavy then because until then I had wear tiny diamond pendant only :). After couple of hours no more. Practicing is the key, I think. Thanks for asking :wavey:

Periwinklegirl..Your board is so neat.......never taking a picture of my boards....

Love the colours in that strand. Is that one pearl as pink as it looks?? On my screen it looks PINK!! :o

YC - Did you make your keishi torsade out of a rope or multiple strands or did it come that way? It looks great on you!

Juliebeth, nice words, thanks :wavey:
