What do you need to complete your collection?

Just making conversation while I wait impatiently for some items to arrive. (None of the below.)

Me:
1. One large super white blue fluorescence oval diamond. Earth grown but undecided on who to buy from or what cut.
2. Gold bangle.
3. Diamond tennis bracelet. Might consider slab flown rye mound.

##1 and 3 will take willpower because there are other cheaper things that I want, but don’t “need” in collection goalz. Life is too short not to enjoy lots of little pieces IMHO. I would not trade my current collection so it’s save-up-for-years time after the current couple-three orders come in.

#1 will be especially hard because I don’t wear big stones often but this oval is something I’ve wanted for twenty years so I may as well save up for it.

As someone who had a “list” by 16, I’m somewhat embarassed to say I have ticked everything off the original list, the extended list and then some.
Some of my items came with caveats, like set price points and the challenge became to find them at or under the amount.
The last item I ticked off was a massive aquamarine ring costing less than $1,000. Impossible everyone said. It took the best part of 15 years but I managed to achieve it.
The only other item is a Cartier Bangle.
I actually have the $$$$ to buy one but I just can’t pull the trigger. I’m a magpie, I’m a bargain hunter. For me 99% of the enjoyment is the desire and the hunt. I just think they are way way too much for what they are. They cost $10k here in Aus, melt value is like 2k. I don’t think there’s $8,000 (A$) in the name, well not to me anyway.

Oh man I have quite the wishlist. I really want to feel complete but I’m not sure I ever will. I keep taking so many detours instead of sticking to my list. My current wants:

1- Brown old European cut diamond solitaire
2- Diamond tennis bracelet
3- French cut diamond bezel ring
4- 22ct gold band
5- bezel set antique stone pendent (I have a gorgeous transitional diamond for this but need to set it)
6- something very yellow (yellow diamond in yellow gold)

I don't have a list and so I don't know if I will ever think that what I have is "complete". I keep seeing things that I love and that goes on my "project" list, if that's really a list. So I'm looking for an OMC that's the right size for me to make this ring. I bought one that seemed to be the same dimensions as the original, but looking at it, it just seems too small, so I'm looking for a larger one (and it really won't be large). Here's the next "project" before a few little tweaks when the time comes.

Oval diamond: Haven’t decided modern v. antique. Does anyone know if DG cuts the heritage oval in natural diamond as well as lab? This one is the one that will require much saving up-age.

For me - leaving aside the projects I already have stones for or are in the works….

- 2.5+ct MRB in O to R range, must be a faint brown modifier, with triple ex cut in yellow gold bezel setting (would possibly consider an ideal cut oval too)





- pear diamond bangle in white gold



- oval three stone sapphire (4-5ct) ring in yellow gold



- Diamond rivière necklace (heavily graduated). In my dreams only I reckon given cost! May as well add a matching tiara to this one

- string of good quality salt water cream coloured pearls again heavily graduated in size. I could probably buy this now but I haven’t seen a string which goes as dramatically from large to tiny as I like. Might have to go custom on this.

- upgrade on my diamond studs

- a superb quality grey / white star sapphire
