rectangular Radiant, and two traps that flank each side

Princess...without a doubt...when I see them, as hard as I try, I cannot stop looking!

Round Brilliant...

or a killer old cut cushion

well i started out wanting princess cut, then went to cushion, then to round, and now I am sure i want an oval shape

I guess I''m kind of indecisive

No doubt I want a round for my engagement ring!!!

but as for other rings/jewelry, I wouldn''t mind accumulating one of each shape over the years

I would love an asscher, but it will be a few years before that upgrade. For now we are going to be getting engaged with an OEC.

Me too! Except my center stone is a sapphire and while I wanted to radiant cut, it was almost impossible to find, so in the end, I got a 'octagonal mixed cut' from Jeff White and sometimes people call it emerald cut.

I have a round brilliant, which in my opinion, is the most sparkly out of all the shapes!!! But, I also LOVE chunky cut cushions....

I never really knew, but since finding PS I''ve fallen for the good old RB. Though lately the OEC''s are calling me....

I have my heart set on a round brilliant, but if the Tiffany Legacy showed up on my finger I wouldn''t turn it away! I believe it''s a specially modified cushion patented by Tiff''s.

I really want an asscher or emerald cut, my third choice is probably a cushion cut, but I really don''t think there any cuts I don''t like!

Round brilliant! AGS Ideal, please

Although years down the line, I will kill for an asscher RHR

oooh...that sounds like a fabulous idea!!!

I am getting a round but really, I love most shapes...especially step cuts and OECs.

I have a round diamond, but i also like the princess cut.

I''m all about simple shapes so I like rounds and princesses.

EC followed closely by RB

Mine will be a sapphire, either an asscher or square radiant, or a cushion of some variety. In a solitaire setting.

I did want a princess, then RB, and now an OEC.. which is what I am getting..

I started out wanting emerald but now i want cushion.
honestly, I''d be happy with any shape. I''ve never met a diamond I didn''t like.

Ditto. I can''t stop staring at ladies hand wherever I go! When I get caught staring, usually in the subway, I feel a little embarressed.

Almost the feeling of getting caught doing something I shouldn''t be doing. It''s so much fun to look though!
I know when I get engaged, I''ll be really understanding if I catch someone looking at my ring.

honestly, I'd be happy with any shape. I've never met a diamond I didn't like.

It's an older cut (OEC stands for Old European Cut), with chunky facets that throws out fire like WHOA. Plus it's stunning in warmer colours (personally, I love the J/K/L range). I'm sure there are threads on them in Rocky Talky, go check it out!

Before I found PS, I''d always wanted a princess cut. But then I fell in love with pear sidestones. I know I want pear sides, but I haven''t completely decided on the center stone. I love princesses, but I''m not sure I''d love one with pears. If not, then it will definitely be an RB.

emerald cut all the way baby

since getting into pricescope ive come to appreciate other cuts though, like oval.

oh and the other cut ive considered for an ering is a rectangular lucida from tiffanys...but then looking at it recently i thought perhaps its essentially just a rectangular cushion...? i dont know...

Trillions for me!!! They are triangular and fun and funky! Yay!

I am a lunatic for step-cuts, they totally hypnotize me! Step cut trillions, or EC''s or asschers!

I have an emerald cut. It''s always been my favorite.

I was just at a marriage class, so of course, I was checking out all the women''s rings (all newly-engaged ladies), and I saw a majority with princesses, most of the rest with RBs, and one other EC (must befriend her!). Several of my recently-engaged girlfriends also have princess cut center stones.

I''d like to have the Emerald Cut, initially I wanted the radiant, but the Emerald was more affordable. In a colored stone.

I'm getting a small round, but a few months ago we came across a 2.11 carat marquise, J/SI1 with a small culet that under the loupe looked like a little diamond in a diamond. It was beautifully cut, had virtually no bowtie, and was just a dream. I'd put that rock into a classic HW setting with an engraved shank, or a cathedral with engraving and melee on the sides. It was so gorgeous!

The real ring of my dreams, believe it or not, is a Tiffany & Co. Ribbon Collection ring, with about a 3/4 carat round center (that's the best size for that design). I actually owned one with a .32 carat center years ago. I had exchanged a couple of Christmas presents and had enough credit from the returns for the ring. It was stunning. Everywhere I went people grabbed my hand. I adore the design, especially since there are no prongs holding the center (it's actually a semi-bezel head), and the beaded sides...*sigh* I rarely let myself fantasize about that ring anymore. My boyfriend is very practical, totally not into jewelry, and I would never let him know just how much I love that ring because I would not want to insult him. He's already decided to use his mom's ring (a very practical decision, as well as an honor to me), and I would never speak up that I want anything else (except here!). But that ring is my secret fantasy.
