Maybe that's where I get it from then!!- Ya, we had a pet raccoon when I was little. LOL. I kid you not. Actually, there was ralphie I and ralphie II. My mother lived in a Greenpoint apt with a raccoon. OMG- the idea of that today makes be laugh. Rabies? What rabies? And we seriously had one when I was little. He was like a house cat. House racoon. I have pictures of him on my dad's shoulder and pix with him and the dog. LOL....

I heard they scavange around in the garbage looking for any little bits and scrap of quality stuff that was thrown away.

Gary- they ARE naughty little scavangers and I love their little hands!!! If one sees them during the day, you better stay away...sign they are ill and may have rabies. This was about 25 years ago...my parents were immigrants and didn't know much about racconns I guess!
