I'm sorry you're not happy with it! I think it looks great, but then again, I'm a fan of the dainty pieces.
I definitely don't like flimsy/dainty pieces, that bend when you pull them off your finger. I guess I expected to be able to see the sapphires..when it's on your finger..you can't even tell what color stones they are,.they'reTHAT small. I remember seeing a similar band at a jewelry store that I wanted the owner to take out of the case, but she said "oh, you can't wear that with your ring..it's not even in the same league", and didn't even remove it from the locked case. I think I know what she meant now. This sapphire/diamond band would be great paired with other similar bands, or a solitaire on a thin shank (2mm), with a smaller diamond (one carat perhaps). I guess dainty bands and bigger, bold solitaires don't go well together. (I tried!) lol. I always perceive the lightweight settings as the kind of jewelry from the shopping channel (non-diamond). If I see a gal wearing a nice, beefy setting, lots of gold, I naturally assume it's a diamond.

I really thought it was pretty and am looking for something like that to represent my little boy, but to wear on my right hand. Were you able to return it to her?

Yes, she said I can return it for a full refund.

Well, that''s good news for you! Hope you find something else you like.

sorry it didn''t work out! Looks like such a great band, but I''m sure you''ll find something you like better!

Too bad the band wasn''t what you were hoping it would be! It looks really lovely, but I completely understand the feeling of the smaller band being "lost" against your set. I have found that a lot of daintier bands I otherwise adore look insubstantial and lost with my e-ring. I would love a ring like Geckodani''s new bezel band, but I think it wouldn''t look right with my thicker e-ring. Sad.

Thanks for posting the pics! Maybe I''ll have to check this seller out for a potential RHR stacking set . . .

I''m sorry you were disappointed beau, but if you hadn''t tried, you never would have known. I''m like you, I like substantial mountings and nice sized diamonds. I don''t want to have to worry about how I take my ring off, if I''ll bend it. I don''t think I could bend any of my rings, even if I tried very hard! We all have our own style, and I don''t care for the dainty pieces either.

I have total respect for the lovers of more substantial rings. Had I more finger real estate, I'd probable be one.

But just to correct a misconception - my rings don't bend. Even the wee little bezel band, LOL. Would my band get lost next to a honkin solitaire - absolutely. But it's not a poor quality piece, and I certainly don't have to worry about bending it.

Delicate doesn't necessarily equal flimsy.

I agree. I really do like dainty rings, but they can''t be flimsy or poor quality. My Ritani is super dainty, but in no way could I bend it. Maybe it was just this piece (it was only $140)....hopefully you will find something you like better though.

geckodani- i agree with you. but so much of it comes down to the metal used, of course. platinum is in a whole different league for strength to something like gold, or particularly silver. my husband''s wedding band is damascus steel - steel layered using the same method originally used in making samurai swords - and lined and edged with 18 kt yellow gold. here''s a photo of him showing me a new ring he bought for me from about 12 months ago now (my ring is silver lattice work over rose gold with 3 cabochon sapphires. it''s made by a company in wales and is meant to reflect an old welsh pattern from some centuries ago). check out his ring tho - that baby isn''t going to bend no matter WHAT he does to it! (i wanted him ''good ''n'' married!!)

:)

I like the band actually. I like vintage pieces and I think they look nice together but it does seem to get a little lost.

The bands would probably look great stacked together on a right hand!

Seriously?! Yikes! I have a WG ring that is as ''dainty'' as that one (from what I can tell) and it most certainly does not BEND when coming off my finger

I think that''s a much bigger issue than just being thin/dainty

it all depends on what your stacking it with I suppose, but I like 2 better, seen some things similar to iton overstock.com for good prices (during holiday shopping season)

#1! Gorgeous!

Sorry you weren''t satisfied!
However, I am one of those with a daintier set & I have a question for you, Beau:
Are the diamonds sparkly? Do they look to be VS quality?
Can you tell the sapphires are blue, or are they too dark?
Thanks!

It''s all good..not meant to be. I''m having my diamond reset, and will have no need for a band. Like I mentioned before the diamonds and sapphires are soooooo small..like "chips" of diamonds. I couldn''t tell what they were (as far as color or clarity). I didn''t bother to loup the ring either...just packed it up and sent it back!
