The Plumber has done more interviews than palin... I''d vote McCain/Plumber before McCain/Palin. Go Plumber, go.

Even better was McCain mentioning him more than 20 times to use him as a symbol of hard-working Americans who would be hurt by Obama's tax policies. Just goes to show Mac's watchdogs are laying down on the job. They didn't do a very good job of vetting Sarah either
38.gif

Perhaps McCain only watched the Fox News version of the interview/commentary?

Ohhh I think it's all because he dared to ask Obama a question. God forbid someone actually do that..
2.gif
. Here's some newsbusters for ya!

ETA: Fixed a typo, also btw, even if Joe the plumber is actually not a plumber (he works as one, but doesn't have the license), his first name isn't Joe, even if he isn't registered to vote and maybe even owes back taxes..I still think it is awesome for finally asking a question I would have loved to have asked Obama myself.

Absolutely. And Obama gave a slam-dunk answer, whether you agree with his plan or not. Joe just couldn't admit it, even though cameras captured the entire interview. Oops.

Oh well.

Slam dunk to you, to me showing I clearly disagree with him. *shrug* But that''s the point, right?

And the smear campaign of the media begins again on someone WHO IS NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!

27.gif
If this guy were not against Obama, would this be happening?????
23.gif
OK, I am done.
20.gif

Ha! if this guy were FOR Obama, he''d probably have a movie contract by now!

He''s my hero, and if I wasn''t already engaged, I''d be sending him a marriage proposal (tee-hee).

After all, he got Mr. Obama to admit--out loud!--the very thing conservatives have known about him since day ONE..That he has serious Socialist/Marxist leanings. That one statement by Obama to Joe should have made every freedom loving American shake in their shoes!

And he hates Social Security! Wants it abolished! Maybe he''ll have McCain''s ear since McCain was going around today saying they''re gonna be ''good pals''.

31.gif

Nooooooooo! He Hates Social Security??? Wants it abolished??? Oh how ridiculous that he disagrees with the most disastrous of all government-run programs in American history! What''s he thinkin''--That he might actually have done a better job had he managed his OWN retirement funds??? Or at least was able to CHOOSE to contribute to SS?? This guy MUST be nuts! How in the world could he EVER know better than the federal government what to do with his own money? How??? How does a person live after all, without the government taking over your financials with the hope and promise that you might never see a dime of it when you''re 65? Oh yeah, he''s looney alright!

And as if it couldn''t get any worse I heard that Joe may lose his job. Guess if you have any skeletons in your closet you should not dare to ask "the one" a question.

Sure, it''s Obama''s fault that John McCain made him household name by referring to him 26 times in the debate. McCain actually APOLOGIZED to him on Letterman last night. Even HE takes responsibility for it!

And, uh, John made his own bed too when he did every possible public & tv appearance he could. No one made him. Where''s all that personal responsibility the GOP talks about?

LOL, I know right. Everything has to be Obama''s fault. Now I know why people think he''s "the one" or the "Messiah" it''s because he can apparenty take credit for absolutely everything! Wow...I''m going to send him my wedding bill.

I watched the whole six minute video of Obama and Joe and don''t really understand how anything else Obama said voided his comment about spreading the wealth. Handing somebody a check to help them get on their feet doesn''t work. Look at the fema debit cards after Katrina, or look at the gov''ts lame attempt at stimulating the economy via stimulus check.

Yeah - I am sure that all those people who have been managing their own retirement funds and just lost 30%-50% of their 401Ks will gladly forego any income from social security.

No it''s not Obama''s fault, but it is at least partially the Obama-slanted MSM''s fault in my opinion. Joe should take responsibility for his own actions - but what kind of country is it if we can''t ask potential leaders a question WITHOUT repercussions?

Yeah..you know there''s a few members of FI''s family that make over $250,000 and they work very hard for their money. I really don''t think it should be given to someone to spend on an iPod.

Yeah - I heard that Obama personally called his employer and threatened to raise taxes just on his business by an extra 30% if he did not fire Joe. BTW - all the camera crews and news reporters stalking Joe have been verified to be registered Democrats working side jobs for ACORN.

Sarah, you know good & well that if OBAMA had picked out a person who questioned McCain''s policies & then used their name throughout a nationally televised, highly-rated event that the same MSM would have gone after interviews with him JUST THE SAME. That''s the media''s JOB. To follow up on noteworthy & newsworthy events & people. How many people have asked questions & NOT been dissected. Why? Their name wasn''t used in the debate as solitary illustration of an entire financial platform''s key flaw. It''s MCCAIN who decided to use him that way. It''s JOE who kept the ball rolling.

It rankles my cankles to see the media blamed for every little thing too. If the media is so LIBERAL & so INFLUENTIAL, how did Bush win two terms again? Or 50% of the offices across the country? BAH!!!!

So you think McCain sent him? We''ll agree to disagree on that one. And..well we''ll just agree to disagree in general because I haven''t seen one other person crucified so much for asking McCain a question: have you? Please point me to them! The only person I can think of is the "is he an Arab" woman and well..that is kind obvious why she was crucified. And how did Bush win? Well you go ask voters, not me. I am guessing because people generally don''t like to change Presidents during a war. And it''s not just the MSM it''s all of the blogs, etc., that decided to post Joe''s personal info including his address. Sure it was publicly available, but was it really necessary? No, it wasn''t. But that''s what happens when freedom of speech is in jeopardy.
2.gif

I'm behind on this. Why is Joe actually losing his job? Is it because he isn't licensed?

I guess I''m behind too. How is Joe being crucified?

Huh? The repercussions come about because McCain turned Joe into a celebrity by invoking him in the debate. The media response was predictable... it was in fact predicted right here:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/whos-excited-to-hear-from-joe-the-plummer-tomorrow.97615/.

Are you saying that there are U.S. news outlets that but would have withheld that information that Joe really wouldn''t be affected by Obama''s tax plan (or any tax plan, it seems) once they figured that out?

No, I just don''t think Joe''s personal life including his address needed to be drug around and posted. I mean what is up with that? I''m still waiting for when this has happened to an Obama supporter or a person that asked a pro-Obama question to McCain, btw. Please someone tell me.

What are you talking about?? I said if the reverse situation happened ... if Obama had seen an interview McCain did with an unhappy person & then used the unhappy voter's name IN A NATIONAL DEBATE to demonstrate the problems with MCCAIN's financial plan -- that the media would have behaved IN THE EXACT SAME WAY. They would have chased the guy ... tried to get interviews ... the right wing would have dug up stuff on him & posted it to the internet.

Same darn thing would have happened. EXACTLY the same.

ETA: It's not about asking the question. Tons of people have. It's about MCCAIN exploiting an innocent guy for his own gain!!!

Maybe on fox..but I think MSNBC and CNN would have ignored it.

Actually, CNN might not have ignored it..but MSNBC most definitely would have.

Anyone want to fill us in on why Joe the plumber is being fired in the first place?

Bueller?

I am still looking for that, I have yet to find it..no one seems to care about him now that he may be losing his job! Ironic, right? I would concur/assume that it is because of the license, but I really don't know.

ETA: If it's an at-will state (not sure about Ohio) he can be fired for any reason at any time. I am doubting he has an employment contract that states otherwise.

Certainly the plumbing company he works/worked for knew he didn''t have a license? I think it''s pretty common in the construction trades for the workers to not have their own individual licenses, but to work under the license held by the owner of the company. If that''s the case with Joe''s job, then I think we can only blame his employer if he is, in fact, losing his job.
33.gif

So what diamond shape do you think that Joe the plumber (he is a handyman btw) prefers and why? I think that by now he must feel like a princess.
