why are most so particular about clarity?

Tourmaline_lover this sounds a little pessimistic. I know lots of people upgrade their erings but really it is a gift from your intended and should it not be with you for life? Have we lost sight of what it is all about?

You can upgrade and still be married to the same person forever. There are people that trade in their original stone for an upgraded one in order to save money. It depends on the person if that original stone should stay with them forever.

Maybe I should have called it their first diamond ring instead of e-ring.
