Your Latest Jewelry Purchases/Things You're Considering....

I don’t know. I have sometimes saved a single photo to my photo library on my phone and then attached it to a post. Hope this makes sense - would love to see your ring!!

What I mean is that I’m trying to put a link to a previous pricescope thread. And when I do that, instead of it showing the blue hyperlink that you click on, it’s showing images from the thread, which I find to be distracting. Because if you created a thread that had tons of images, then you’re seeing images that aren’t even necessarily my ring, which is the case here.

Anyway, I took some photos this morning. I remember now why I never really did a thread. It’s because it’s camera shy and for some reason every picture I take it looks like the petals are dark, but they are definitely not! That’s why I prefer video for this because I can never get a good picture, but these are the best I could come up with.

The stone is 2 carat and probably in the OP range. It does not have a report. It’s named Chippy because I named it that when I was contemplating buying it, even though it had a chip.

Thank you so much for the pictures! It is beautiful and that satin yellow gold is the perfect frame. I honestly would not have thought about a frenchies band to pair with it, but you hit it out of the park with the combo! Really pretty set!

So, I visited Grace earlier this week. I wanted to hold off posting while I made some decisions but an OMC sang to me.

I had it narrowed down to 5 options which she pulled for me, so I could spend some time with the diamonds and see how my heart felt.

There was one diamond that I kept going back to.

The winner had actually just been unmounted from her setting a few days previously, so I got to have a good look at her through my loupe, from all angles. (She’s sitting loose in a yellow setting in the photos, as Grace didn’t have a yellow gold stone holder handy)

She’s chunky & delicious. Lots of fire, big chunky flashes of pastels, quite lively. Charmingly wonky. IMG_0038.jpegAnd kozibe.

I know she won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but she’s my glass of champagne.

The other diamonds Grace had pulled were beautiful but I just didn’t have an emotional response to them.

Still working out what I want to do for a setting, as I was able to buy her unmounted. It’ll be yellow gold and bold/purposeful, though. And some sort of bezel.

So fabulous! I cannot wait to see more of her her!

I'm so glad you picked her. She was one of the stones I considered when searching for my HG. I love that you are able to embrace her warmth! We love bezels too. If you can we'd love to see more photos and videos and be part of your setting journey.

It's absolutely stunning! I can't wait to see the finished ring.

So much for Ban Island!! Loving my brand new natural amethyst ring!! She reminds me of a "mood ring" I had as a kid. So happy with this purchase!!20241003_184744.jpg20241003_183318.jpg

Whoa that color looks incredible. Keep us posted!

@Mreader, @Happytobemrsg, @mellowyellowgirl The jeweler informed me that the beautiful vivid red Ruby was tested and found to be heated so goodbye, yummy ruby.
To console myself, I went to look at more jewelry :mrgreen2:
Tried on some many pieces, egged on by friends.

So my partner and I purchased the engagement ring stone and I'm not supposed to buy anything ever againnnnnnnnnn.

But also, this bracelet is so lovely and I think it's such a good price. I don't own a substantial diamond bracelet, only two very delicate Ferko's ones that I got on LoupeTroop.

18k white gold, secondhand, 17.5 grams, ~4ctw natural diamonds for only $2900 and it's already the length I need rather than needing to be shortened. It would be returnable.

Help.

I like it! Would this be an everyday piece or special occasions for you? I would decide based on how much wear you’ll get from it. Gotta do the cost per wear math!

Not everyday at this stage in my life, maybe more like a couple of times a month. But I think that the style would have longevity in a way that my dainty bracelets maybe won't. To me the two diamond bracelets I already own read as young and this other one would suit me as well when I'm in my 60's as it would now in my early 30's. Maybe other people feel differently, though, both about this bracelet and about stacking delicate pieces!

This is what I have now for diamond bracelets. I always wear the two white gold ones, I don't always wear the yellow gold + sapphire:

@Crimson come back you tease!!!! Omg you bought the blue sapphire?????
Pics!!!!! And you must submit it to the blue sapphire thread!

Also go buy the pink as well!!!

Party pooper reporting for duty (or doody). I love it but given that you are probably trying to limit buying I would wait for a more everyday piece!

Yes, the stones I have would be graduated - 0.8, 0.62 x 2, 0.35 x 2. I tried Dolly's method, and my results weren't as good as hers but it gives me an idea that it will span my size 8.75 finger well.

Yummy! Love the the grad stones porportions!! That's will be a gorgeous 5 stone!!! Can't wait to see it!!

Ugh I cannot for the life of me decide what direction I want to go with a setting and who I want to work with. I’m hoping to get that ball rolling in late January. I will definitely see asking for opinions!

Sounds like your suite might be more graduated? I hope it stars this amazing one you just got! That would be amazing with a sharp graduation. Maybe .7s and .3s for the sides.
My Ruby arrived and I love it so much. It is RED in person. Just screaming red. The camera wants to make it pink but it’s not. My only complaint is I wish it was bigger :cry2: But it looks perfect with my pair of H/I OECs and it will be perfect in the flush style setting.

IMG_3536.jpeg

Maybe a hint of pink in sunlight.
IMG_3535.jpeg

But this is how it looks to my eyes.

EDIT @kathley if the 3mm Burmese rubies you got from Yvonne for your ring look like this I think you will be so happy!!

Omg! That ruby is the perfect RED! When I saw it I immediately thought 'oooo bet thats the most yummy piece of candy ever!' Lol beautiful suite of reds and contrast of diamond...Gorgeous stones!!

Found this Frenchie band at a great price and could not resist. She looks so nice paired with my gold diamond ring:

Love love LOVE!! It's like they were made at the same time as a matched set! The brush gold!! Such a beautiful combo!

It’s beautiful, I love the unique design and the milgrain detail ! How upset would you be if it sold to anyone else? If the answer is heartbroken, buy it! I regret to this day not buying a unique vintage bracelet. It was 2 years ago and I still remember it.

Contemplated this but I think it’s a little too small for me. Colour was mesmerising but it has no reports and the halo diamonds were too small.

IMG_5744.jpegIMG_5745.jpegIMG_5746.jpeg

Also pondered a dash of orange but again I had doubts about size.

IMG_5750.jpeg

I love the heart! The shape is so perfect. It’s a pain to reset but maybe reset w bigger stones?

I’ve left that city now. I’m a little sad but I can’t have everything and I think the small diamonds really threw me!

Plus I tried to be a good girl and counted all my green rings and I have enough to be functional, outfit wise.

Ahhh
