I bought 4 rings and one pair of earrings in one month. I was feeling sheepish and but encouragement from @mellowyellowgirl @RRfromR and @Dr_Diesel helped me feel better. Needless to say I have been on Ban Island for a few weeks. Here are two spinel rings. The first was a plain ring made to fit a 3.1 ct Mahenge spinel between two existing rings. The jeweler did a great job following the curve of the floral rings so that the new ring fit right in between them.
The second ring has a 3.5 ct Burmese spinel. I never tire of spinel! It has been very hard to find neon Burmese spinels so when I saw this, I pounced.

Love love love!!! I still marvel at the 3 ring arrangement!!!!!! It’s so….. complex and utterly awesome!

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that it was so nicely done (by On Cheong) that the flowers can still spin (part of my request). They are not hindered by the new ring

These earrings reminded me of Michael Good - but priced at 10% over scrap!

Oh my gosh, so gorgeous!!! On a slight morbid note, so many of my coworkers saved and saved and had grand plans for retirement, including traveling, and they passed away shortly after retirement. We have one life to live, and as long as the bills are paid, it's OK to enjoy it on the things that bring joy.
May we have many years to experience and enjoy, and share that joy with others.

The earrings were delivered and they are lovely! I had sold my collection of Victorian and Art Deco jewelry and I told myself I wouldn't be buying more. Just purchased this mismatched beauty (diamonds & rubies in platinum). Comes with GIA cert stating NTE for the rubies.
