FABU!!! BTW did you win the LOTTO???? :saint::bigsmile::devil:

So, I visited Grace earlier this week. I wanted to hold off posting while I made some decisions but an OMC sang to me.

I had it narrowed down to 5 options which she pulled for me, so I could spend some time with the diamonds and see how my heart felt.

There was one diamond that I kept going back to.

The winner had actually just been unmounted from her setting a few days previously, so I got to have a good look at her through my loupe, from all angles. (She’s sitting loose in a yellow setting in the photos, as Grace didn’t have a yellow gold stone holder handy)

Meet the Grande Dame.

5.33 ct
Q/R
10.43 - 11.13 x 7.28
48% table
67.5% depth

She’s chunky & delicious. Lots of fire, big chunky flashes of pastels, quite lively. Charmingly wonky. IMG_0038.jpegAnd kozibe.

I know she won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but she’s my glass of champagne.

The other diamonds Grace had pulled were beautiful but I just didn’t have an emotional response to them.

Still working out what I want to do for a setting, as I was able to buy her unmounted. It’ll be yellow gold and bold/purposeful, though. And some sort of bezel.

The Grande Dame has been mounted and is back home with me.

Unfortunately, her arrival coincided with a medication change that has resulted in temporary bloating/water retention, so my fingers are all puffy right now & I haven't felt like taking hand shots.

My doctor promises the water retention will subside in a week or two, so once the bloat goes down, I'll make a dedicated thread for her.

Until then, here's a quick handshot to share. She flashes big chunky pastels and is mesmerizing to watch. Lots of kozibe, you can see her maltese cross fairly well here.

Wow can you share some more pics of the setting?

I am thinking of buying this ruby and make lit into a pendant for a ruby anniversary, its hexagonal shape means it may be better suited to pendant/brooch rather than a ring, what do you think? Goes well with 18K yellow gold setting?

I have been on a jadite binge lately. Two coming in. The ring is an early Christmas present from my darling hubby. I have wanted a cabochon RHR for ages.

This is an 8mm bead jadeite necklace.

What a kind husband! I like how the maker has used a mix of lavender and green in ht4 necklace.

He is a keeper!
I am not sure the effect will be noticeable when worn, we'll see. I did like the consistent bead size and icy effect overall very much. If that contrasted color comes through, a bonus!

Beautiful pieces! That ring feels ethereal & somehow very grounding :kiss2:

Thanks @Ally T . When I saw that specific ring, it effected me the same way. I have also loved moonstone and diamond jewelry for that same effect. The ring is designed with a partial basket below to reflect light to emphasize the jade and reflect through the stone - pretty clever.

It really is mesmerising & I can’t wait to see it on your hand :kiss2:

By the way, it has an almost twin at a great price if anyone is looking.

Very nice, it has the “eyelid” look. I too, love jadeite lightbulbs. Here’s my bracelet. The glassy jadeite picks up the colour from the pink silk. You can see the pink reflection on them.

@Crimson your bracelet is just stunning! So glassy! Love that deep look! So are the rings. My gosh, that green is just… I could get lost for a week looking at that ring finger cabochon. The other is also lovely.

Also, I appreciate your Jadeite post so much, it gives so much to the community at PS.

One of my indiscretions from last weekend. They may not be on par with the $11K pair I fell in love with, but they have great movement and feel pretty unique.

Please don't leave me dangling...tell me more about all these carats :D.

The earrings were delivered and they are lovely! I had sold my collection of Victorian and Art Deco jewelry and I told myself I wouldn't be buying more. It is never a good thing to be "just looking" at jewelry!

As a beneficiary of your selling your collection, I applaud this. That's beautiful on your ear! (I get so many compliments on the beautiful pieces I bought from you.)

I was bidding for this ring too. Small world. Glad it went to a PSer. Post pics when you get it please

It just arrived ….the repair work is noticeable. But it’s in the back so it won’t show much when worn. It also is quite hollow (35 grams) so it maybe prone to denting? But I really do love the look and the beautiful engraving IMG_0949.jpegIMG_0963.jpegIMG_0961.jpegIMG_0962.jpeg

As suspected, it was too hollow and got misshaped quickly. However, it made me realize I love the style. Had it remade locally in 22k gold ( rather than 24k). But, I realized too late that I had not specified the thickness I had wanted ( how did it miss such a crucial detail??). He did a great job with it, just wish it was thicker/wider. First world problems IMG_2503.jpegIMG_2501.jpegIMG_2506.jpegIMG_2511.jpeg

Sick at home but at least the new diamond bling has arrived and will cheer me up!
Pendant is 0.41 tcw, E-F color, VVS1-2 clarity and the ring is 0.40 tcw, center diamond 0.20 ct and side stones 0.10 ct each, F color and VVS clarity for all three stones.
These are pieces that I'm planning on wearing every day!

It seems I have a thing for toi et moi rings after all. Roughly .75 OEC with perfect, flowery facets. Super clean and white. Natural pearl.

I know this won't be to everyone's taste, but I'm ecstatic to try out this angel ring from Temple St Clair. I've been debating between the large and small size. If this large size isn't for me, I'll return it and get the small. But it's so *fun*

Edit: Here's the smaller, diamond version. But I'm excited to see if the larger piece feels like me!
