I love it. Makes me feel sadder I got out-bid lol. Keep me in mind if you ever change your mind about keeping it

I bought 4 rings and one pair of earrings in one month. I was feeling sheepish and but encouragement from @mellowyellowgirl @RRfromR and @Dr_Diesel helped me feel better. Needless to say I have been on Ban Island for a few weeks. Here are two spinel rings. The first was a plain ring made to fit a 3.1 ct Mahenge spinel between two existing rings. The jeweler did a great job following the curve of the floral rings so that the new ring fit right in between them.

The second ring has a 3.5 ct Burmese spinel. I never tire of spinel! It has been very hard to find neon Burmese spinels so when I saw this, I pounced.
Photos in different lighting conditions - indoor lighted, indoor dim light and briget light.

Obsessed with it all!! Enjoy them :kiss2:

I am thinking of buying this ruby and make lit into a pendant for a ruby anniversary, its hexagonal shape means it may be better suited to pendant/brooch rather than a ring, what do you think? Goes well with 18K yellow gold setting?

Is this from Harshil?? If it is, when I bought my ruby from him this was the runner up, i love the shape!

It is, almost bought it then realised it has surface-reaching fissure. Is that why you didn’t buy it too? Show us what you bought!

So maybe this is a bit of “doom buying” a la the hangout thread, but I’m in the design phase for my 5 stone old cut ring and one of the stones in my suite is really wonky and has a large girdle chip. It looks round and fine to the naked eye but I like taking macro pictures of my gems! I just kept thinking that if I’m spending all this money on setting (and with the Canadian dollar exchange right now and gold prices it’s $$$), then I want nice diamonds.

So I’ve been casually looking for a replacement, kind of thinking if I find one before I proceed with the setting then maybe I should just buy it.

Stumbled on this one from what appears to be a good seller. IGL lab report says natural diamond, J VVS2, and round brilliant but the proportions pictures and video all scream beautiful OEC. Made a low ball offer so got it for about the same price as the GIA K VS2 and L SI1 that I bought last May. I suspect the color will match given IGL being looser with color grading. Fingers crossed it’s nice! It’s very round and the girdle looks clean. Kozibe galore and teensy table and high crown.

If it pans out then Weird Rita will go in a pendant.

Ooh, staying tuned to see how this one turns out. I've been watching a few with that seller, and have been hesitant to bite the bullet because they don't take good photos, but if you have a positive experience it may sway me.

The video showed the cut much clearer. Super high volume seller with 100% positive feedback… fingers crossed!

This is the video of the diamond that made me feel confident about the cut. And I read the description again and there is a small note saying it’s an old cut. Ignore the body tint until he video. I think it’s their lighting set up as even GH graded stones looked brown/taupe.

It’s a stressful time for me so I’ve been self-soothing by shopping/planning vacations. I really need better coping skills

Just purchased this mismatched beauty (diamonds & rubies in platinum). Comes with GIA cert stating NTE for the rubies.

PS Brain Trust: I actually got two different certs for the rubies. The round one was from GIA and the cushion one from AIGS. Both state no heat but no origin listed - do you think it’s worth it to send out for the origin? It says CMT Type I on the GIA report (both reports are fairly old 2011/2013). I don’t plan on selling these- they are so cute and I think I would rather pass on to one of my nieces/goddaughter vs sell.IMG_3498.jpegIMG_3499.jpeg

I think it is very pretty. When will it arrive?

A week, a month, a year. When the moon is in Aquarius.

Trackings says it’s in New Jersey. I’m guessing about a week.

I wasn't thinking of your location when I asked. Sorry.

No apologies! But yeah. It’s a longer trip. I thought of having it sent directly to David which would have saved me a pretty penny in my currency between shipping and import taxes. But I want to seeeeee it! And take pictures of it loose! So the extra cost and time is just part of the hobby I guess.

TY! I never was that into pearls but this one won me over.

Famous last words!!! I said the same a few years ago and waved Lil Sis off constantly every-time she brought up pearls!

Lots of pics please!!!!!!
