I hope I didn''t leave anyone out!

Well, I was left out, but I didn''t technically ask. Too thin-skinned.
12.gif
EBree- You are such a doll! You were so wonderful when I was going through my setting search and you always have something helpful to say!

Lauren - you are the goddess of the colored stone rings. I want to live in your jewelry box. You also seem like a very genuine and caring person, and someone I would love to know in real life!

LadyPirate- You come across as fun loving and care free. Your avatar absolutely cracks me up. I always enjoy reading your posts and you often make me laugh!

Musey: I find you very animated, amusing, and cool. I get the impression that you would be fun to watch at a party!

Sarah: You always have my back!
9.gif
You seem ''Skippy'' nice.
2.gif

iluvcarats: You have a passionate nature, and a glorious collection of bling!

Lauren: Funny, fabulous style, way cool.

Oct2008bride: You were the most stunning bride since Portia and GingerCookie! I think of you as ''sophisticated''.
Holly that is soo sweet!! I don''t think of myself as sophisticated on most days, but I love that you think that about my wedding style :-)

It is funny - sometimes I think that people don''t even read my posts so this was really great to see!! You made my day!

LadyPirate - thank you very much ;-)

LadyPirate - thank you very much ;-)

LadyPirate,
I know you do amazing work for kids with JRA. I applaud you for the great work that you do. Ash is home now with a bad flare up. Funny how you go from JRA, in remission to RA.. Not something you want to graduate to.

But what you do for those kids, is sooooo important. You rock!!!

LOL, this thread cracks me up.

And for the record, I don''t want to know what my ''rep'' is on pricescope.
41.gif
You''re like Irishgirl and DF. You do too want to know, ''cause you know it''s all good.

99.9% of everybody here likes you. How could we not? You''re our big sister. Our best friend. Our long suffering coworker. Our favorite cousin. The person who will love us one minute and kick our butts the next. But only if we need it.
28.gif

You and Deco talked the other day about all the posts you didn''t submit -- all the times you bit your tongue. Man, that must have been some stout stuff you didn''t post, ''cause you''re known for telling it like it is!

You have led an interesting life, but don''t consider yourself to be smarter, better -- or in any way superior -- to anyone else. I wish my own life experiences had been as varied. You have a quick wit, and a quicker tongue, but it''s never used to hurt someone intentionally. You have a big heart, and are probably a really loyal friend.

There is no one on PS whose posts I enjoy more. I know you will always be honest, you will offer sound advice, you will probably make me laugh. And if I need one, I always know I can trust you to administer an ''attitude adjustment''.
31.gif
9.gif

I big fat puffy heart you.
30.gif

I know. I sound like a stalker.
2.gif
LOL Holly. I wasn''t kidding, I don''t care to know, because I have a good idea what my rep is, the good the bad and the ugly. So please, no more of this. But thanks for the rundown just the same.

I''d tell you what I thnk of you, good, bad, and the ugly. But I won''t. But I daresay you are one of the very few on PS who could take it.

OK, now that I am back in LA and away from the wine bar in Seattle where I posted last...

Wanted to apologize in any way if my post above came off as rude. I don''t do well when in the spotlight! Your post was very sweet and thoughtful, which is why I was kind of laughing. My initial post said this thread made me laugh, mostly because it was so full of sugar! And then you come and post something very sweet and I didn''t expect that!

Anyhoo, if you do want to know what I think of you, let me know.
2.gif
It won''t be full of sugar, but it will be honest and quite positive (with the required zinger here and there!)

Okay, I have to admit I''m a bit curious. You know what they say about the cats and all, so I know where it will get me. Have a go at me if you like.

Oh Wishful. I think you are my friend. Sometimes I think we prop each other up, and that we''d be great friends in real life. You are so passionate and so vibrant. And you take on so much, with such fire and dedication. I admire you very much, and I worry about you more.

LP and gecko, thank you so much! You are two of my very favorite PSers, and I always look forward to reading your posts. LP, I''d love a Portland meetup! I know Diver''s a PDXer...I wonder who else is!

LadyPirate and Haven -- thanks! I appreciate the kind words! And Holly, too, I can''t remember if I thanked you, but you''re too kind.

LP -- you seem so happy. I know you recently moved and it sounds like the work you do is very interesting.

Haven -- you remind me of a friend of mine, who is also a high school English teacher. I love how passionate you are about teaching. You seem like a really cool person.

Tacori -- you remind me of a few friends of mine up here. I know you''re very helpful and honest, and you are a great mom.

There are so many people who I really enjoyed getting to know and I think I could be friends with if we met in person.

You are right, this thread has been sweet. It could just have easily gone the other way. I think there are people who aren''t asking what their rep is because they know they won''t like what they hear.

Actually, I don''t think this thread would have gone the other way...PSers are generally only feisty when it''s a hot topic or someone is being completely blind to something. I think this thread is sugary sweet because people *do* actually see one another in a positive light. Which is kind of why I laughed...most people are just generally nicer than I am, I guess!
11.gif
If any of those people who aren''t asking what their rep is because they know they won''t like what they hear - well, I honestly don''t think anyone who has responded on this thread would say anything other than something polite. Hence, are you really finding out what your "rep" is on this site?
41.gif

Which is not to say I think everyone is lame, quite the contrary! Everyone is INDEED nice and lovely! But when some people post that they might come across with invisible - well, I would say that I probably would agree. Not because I don''t know who they are, but if asked what I think about them, I would be kind of thinking hard what to say other than they seem like a very nice and courteous poster! All the nice and courteous posts sort of blend for me on Pricescope.

The ones who have reps for me have to have some sort of consistently obvious posting trait. They have to be funny (either blatantly or subtly dry), extremely sage and bringing up points either first or that no one else has, obnoxious, straight to the point without pulling any punches, SUPER (beyond regular) nice and always encouraging, generally defensive, generally stubborn, constantly accusing people of being jealous of their ebay finds, etc etc etc.
3.gif

There is a fair degree of chocolate on Pricescope. There is way more vanilla. And you know what? Chocolate can sometimes just be too much in large doses. Vanilla balances it out. We NEED vanilla.

Interesting thread... I stayed out of it when it started for fear of it going in a totally different direction than it has. Also bc when I took my PS hiatus, I kinda came back with a clean slate. That said a few people that are curious about their rep''s do stand out to me.

DF~ you seem like someone who I would want to be at a cocktail party with. Fun yet controversial, and I love watching people like you in action.
DBlu~ I get the inpression you enjoy the finer things in life but love to have fun with it. When I first saw your collection, I think I probably thought to myself... "oh gesh!" but honestly you seem incredibally down to earth, and you are actually someone I would love to meet at a GTG someday.
HollyS~ Proabably the person who stands out to me the most. When I first started participating on PS you were the first that ever got me steemed about anything. I know I called you out on it a few times... Sorry. Interestingly enough I look for your posts now! I think you offer extremely sound advice, and although it is sometimes written more directly that I would have done, people do need to hear it like that from time to time. Funny thing is your direct posts to people remind me of things I say to my friends. I''m kinda a no BS person, and that''s what you seem like to me. I respect that.
Musey, Kaleigh, Gypsy, Tgal... I hate to group people together but I kinda do. I enjoy all of your posts. I think bc all of you are so extremely knowledgeable. You guys are why I came back to PS... you remind me that there are a bunch of wise wonderful people here.

And no Tgal, I''m not afraid of what people have to say about my rep. I''m actually interested, so shoot
28.gif
... I just didn''t think many would have much to say.

Well CR, it seems to me you are a nice and courteous poster.

Actually, I do remember something about you from your ring thread. I recall you were quite gracious amid all the hoo-ha and took things fairly well even while frustrated. I know you said you took a break, but I don''t recall any dramas before you did. Maybe I am not remembering right, but I think you quietly just had enough for awhile?

So yeah, to me you are a nice and courteous poster who can take the heat and has a gorgeous ring.

Yah, that thread was by far one of the worst I have come across in SMTR. I was pretty bummed it went that way. And you are right... I didn''t say anything when I left, what''s the point? Thank you for noticing that I kept my cool though...

Honestly, yes I do.

As others have said, you say what''s on your mind, even if it''s the unpopular view. I probably am inclined to like and respect you more because I''m a conservative like you.

When you first posted on PS, I did think you were very sensible and grounded. Now after reading many of your posts, I stilll feel the same.

You can also be highly infuriating. Far less so for me now (in fact rarely so) but for some time awhile back I''ve written some posts to you that never made it to press (and exist on that file that Deco so wants to see.) A lot of what killed me was that I would think, "Good grief, this person is accusing this person of X and she''s doing the SAME thing! HOW can she NOT see the hypocrisy?!"

Well with time and reading more of your posts, I see that you do indeed see the hypocrisy - it may just not be RIGHT THEN. You are obviously passionate about many subjects and when things get heated, I think your fingers go flying on the keyboard. But then, you are actually able to sit back and think about what you said, make apologies when warranted and are more honestly self reflective than people give you credit for.

You''re a woman who can take the heat in my opinion, and I think you''re right in seeing that people who accuse you of certain behaviors don''t see it in themselves, or condone it in others as long as they share the same view. You often have no problem taking the heat in the kitchen alone.

You''re probably one of the few people on PS that I wouldn''t mind sitting around a fire with a glass of wine having a conversation with. A conversation about ALL sorts of things. Because I''d agree with you on a lot of things. And disagree with you on far more. And it would be interesting. We''d sit there probably beating each other over the head with our viewpoints that we''d do our best to present as fact and not opinion, knowing full well it''s just opinion. At some point someone''s wineglass would go flying with the contents possibly in the other person''s face!

The next day I honestly think you''d be the first to come back and say, "hey, yeah, I see your point" and I''d say the same. There would be absolutely no hard feelings and we''d be happy and jokey until the next hot topic. In the meanwhile, you''d give me lots of sound advice about a lot of life issues.

My favorite recent post of yours was the one on motherhood and your false alarm. For its honestly and how profoundly it made the point that a woman can be ready for motherhood even when not remotely ready - and I think it''s an issue that so many women on PS are facing.

So at least on PS, what I appreciate about you most is that I think I could discuss anything with you and there would be no hard feelings. Yeah, your "reputation" on PS (at least in my opinion) is not without its flaws, but much like diamonds, I far prefer an awesome SI1 over IF anyday...best bang for the buck, if you know what I mean.
2.gif

Thanks, TGal. You know me well. Anonymity my a. . . . . . .
9.gif

I would never, however, throw wine at you.
2.gif

I must ask you never to show Deco your ''file''. She would get much too big a kick out of it.
25.gif

CrookedRock, I remember looking at your thread and drooling over your pictures
30.gif
but I didn''t really read anyone else''s posts, so I missed all the drama. Sorry you went through that. TGal is right, the fact that you slipped away without any kind of "I''m outta here!" announcement shows oodles of class and maturity on your part. Kudos to you.

35.gif

This thread is why I love PS! So many lovely people who enjoy each other whether it''s in the middle of a hot debate or sharing new earrings or getting advice. I''ve been a member for a long time but lurked for a long time before I became an active poster so I feel like I "know" so many of you (wouldn''t even know where to start since I''m so late to the thread),

I don''t really think I have a "rep." I''m guessing DD in my avatar would be the extent of it!
2.gif

Hey guys. Just wanted to say it''s really awesome to see the positive things that PS is all about. I know that there are so many threads, especially in other forums, that can (and do) get people really fired up. But it''s refreshing to see how respectful the majority of people on here are, and the great things everybody has to say about one another. Everyone''s very uplifting, and I think it''s a great thing. Yeah, it may not always be as entertaining, but I sure do like knowing the high regards people hold each other to. And it''s a nice thing for the people personally to read compliments about themselves from others.

1.gif

I don't really have specific words for each of you that have asked on here so far. I can say that I appreciate each time any of you have responded to threads I've started, which many of you have. And I thoroughly enjoy posting on your threads. I have such a great time on PS. I'm not on nearly as much as I wish I had time to be, but the time I do spend is very much enjoyed - it always goes by faster than I realize! Guess the saying's true huh - time flies when you're having fun! Each of you are unique, and I love to read the different techniques you each have in posting. Some of you are eloquent, some are quick and to the point. I certainly appreciate the fact that everyone is usually very opinionated but polite at the same time. It's great when people are honest. I love it when you guys let your sense of humor out. And I think it's especially touching when you show you care about others, especially when the majority of people on here have never even met IRL. It's a great community for outreach and education as well. Most of my diamond education before we purchased my ring was done on here. Now it's a great place to come and help what little I can, but also contribute whenever possible!

Have I even been around long enough to have a reputation? If I have one, I'd like to know.
1.gif
But if not, it's ok.
