Well, listing what I really want, as in intend to buy if I find, is tough because I''m a cheapskate when it comes to buying for myself. I don''t like spending over $100.00 for a stone (with occasional exceptions), so I tend to buy small examples of expensive varieties as well as waiting for bargains. I''ll spend more for ''business'' stones, but I don''t keep them
Neon pink Mahenge spinel (small so that I can afford it!)
A nice vivid orange Lolilindo spessartite (this may be coming off the list when a stone I just bought arrives).
A 5 or 6mm round brilliant light to medium blue sapphire, precision cut or excellent commercial cutting.
A blue and white color zoned sapphire, any size and shape that I fall for and can afford.
A 4 to 5mm round vivid yellow sapphire.
Any and all Tsavorites I can afford - small but beautiful is okay by me. Also, at least one Merlani mint.
A round or trillion rich imperial topaz, would consider the right oval.
Anything teal. Apatite, tourmaline, zircon....if it''s teal I''m apt to buy it.

a window means just that a window where you can see though the stone..you would be able to read print though a window (if it''s big enough)..although lacking brillance you would expect in the middle I would not term that a true window and rather porr lighting or slighly improper angels..I can''t see a cutter cutting a 20+ct top vivid green tsavorite with a window but maybe it is..lol......that is a world-class like 20+ ct tsavorite..one of the most expensive in the world..pulled off a''most expensive gems site''
you see this with tanzanites a lot for some reason

Freke,
Is this the attainable wish list, or the fantasy wish list thread?? LOL!
Both!
Although I left off my big fantasy gem: 5ct natural blue diamond, any shape.
Oh and a gray diamond. Any size/shape.
Oh I hope you post lots and lots of photos...yum!!Date: 5/11/2010 12:12:12 PM

YUM DROOL! The spessartite just came off the list. ''Spessie'' is here and is brilliantly gorgeous - this is the spess I''ve been stalking the interwebz looking for over the last couple of months. Wheeeeee!
I would always ask David if he can discount it since it may have been up for a while, but $1600 for an almost one carat diamond is not bad. I think those are specs of dust on the stone and not inclusions. Grey diamonds always seem to have a little sleepiness to them also, so that''s something to be aware of.Date: 5/11/2010 1:24:50 AM

I''ve always wanted a gray diamond! And there''s only maybe 1 thread on all of PS about someone with a gray/silver diamond. Its nice to see I''m not the only one! DBL has a gorgeous 1ct gray if you''re interestedLink. A colored diamond is one of the few times I''ve considered anything but a CS for an e-ring.
Indy I''ve got one. They don''t photograph well though because they look dull when in reality they sparkle like mad. In fact I''ve not got any photographs of it purely because I can''t get one to represent what I see! I''ll see if I can find the vendor''s photo and post that up for you. It''s odd because in some lights mine looks like a white diamond and then wham, there''s the silver/grey!Date: 5/11/2010 1:24:50 AM

Oh, and they all have to be heart shapes, just to make Freke jealous!!LOL!
Here''s the kyanite I bought from Litnon(I took a pick with the lapis on my deck today). I''ve never seen this color kyanite in a cab this color though I''ve seen the ones streaked with white.Date: 5/10/2010 10:52:37 PM

Also, I forgot - a largish kyanite with perfect sapphire blue color. I have a couple cabs and a 5mm round, but I want a larger one.
