Baseball fans--congregate here!!!

AN-I think the point was that the Giants beat the Phillies, and if the Rangers kill the Giants, then that sort of implies by flawed sports logic that the Phillies are worse (or something?) Anyway, teams, especially in baseball, get hot and cold (read: Padres in September), that's just the nature of sports.

Anyway, let's give the Giants SOME credit here? I don't think the Phillies choked, I think the Giants pitching staff was pretty good (Lopez anyone? Wilson totally clutch!!!) and our hitting was pretty good too. Certainly an exciting series...

OMG WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!! I got orange face paint :)

My point is that I'm enjoying the Phillies loss. Just as others have cheered the Yankees demise, so too am I enjoying your supposedly superior ("They have cliff lee and dynamite hitting...something the Giants don't have") Phillies being out. That is all.

ETA - oh, and about the flawed sports logic of the Phillies being terrible if the Rangers crush the Giants - I was just poking at you AN since I saw how into this you are. Hence my less than serious subsequent replies.

There's no implication of flawed sports logic. The Phils were not playing to their abilities and I stand by that. If the Rangers crush the Giants and that makes the Phils appear "worse"....so be it? It still doesn't make any sense to me how that is because thats implying the Rangers are not as good as the Giants.

I give the Giants major credit for pitching because they DO have some great pitchers. Hitting compared to the Rangers? Not so much..

That's ok! I'm sure many of us have teams we enjoy watching lose.

I'll enjoy watching the Giants lose the WS.

Interesting. I'm not sure I said anything about superiority. My team lost. It is what it is, my life goes on. Simple as that.

There really was no point in beating around the bush...if you are enjoying the loss of the Phils, you could simply state that, no?

BTW...

Where have the Giants been the last couple years? Just wondering.

The Giants don't have the hitting that the Rangers do. Does that mean that the Rangers hitting is superior to the Phils? In this series, absolutely. Does it mean that the Giants had better hitting than the Phillies did? Clearly, they did in this series.

well...Pat Burrell was on the Phillies/Rays, Cody Ross was on the Marlins, Buster Posey was coming up, and Madison Bumgarner was like 15? It's really amazing how this team has come together, and has been really fun to watch.

nevermind

I got teary during the announcement of the lineup. I'm so happy they cheered Bengie. :))

YAY GIANTS!!! Looks like they do have the hitting after all...... :appl:

*sh*t talking* *sh*t talking* *sh*t talking*...

Really? I'd never have guessed.

Last night's game was a bummer (noooooo Cliff Lee noooooo) but I'm still holding out hope for the Rangers.

Not that I have anything much against the Giants, just I'd kinda like to see the team win that's never won it all before.

Awesome pics!

Serious question- where did you get the face paint? I need it for my snooki outfit for halloween!

I got it at a halloween store for like $2, and then I got some of those "cosmetic wedges" from Walgreens. It actually came off pretty easily too! I'm sure any of those halloween stores that crop up everywhere around this time will have it!

Someone had a sign that said "Marry me #38...a Bride and a Beard" There was a cutout where she had her face and she had taped lace around it, and then next to that there was Brian Wilson's face...AND she had taped Christmas lights to it. SO COOL

slg, cool pics!

AND....

Just one more win to go, baby!!!!

GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's wrap this thing up tonight! :appl:
