A woman after my own heart!

I've been a Rangers fan for a long time, but never followed them devotedly (would you?) until my mom decided to become a fan in '05 or so. It's been a fun few years! Lets go in Game 4!

Yay, there's more!

I've actually been a devout fan all my life. I used to go to games with my dad when I was itty-bitty at the old stadium... then we were season ticket holders at the new stadium when it was built. I've been thru it all, and was ohhhhh so glad to finally reach a post-season game that didn't involve the Yankees!

I really hope they decide to pull their heads out of their behinds and play some real baseball. I am quite dissapointed at the moment.

I was talking about authentic, game-used jerseys, AN...if you have tons of those, good for you!

The poor Reds, and their fans! I couldn't even bear to watch most of the game last night, I just flipped back and forth and was more disappointed every time. AN, you're right, better luck next year!

Best of luck to all the teams remaining...I'll be rooting for the Yankees from now on, FI was awfully sad last year during the WS, hopefully this year will be better for him and his Yanks.

Awesome--I'm glad to hear that you guys are serious collectors. And yes, they definitely made nicer jerseys long ago...do you have any flannels? Those are so cool and wow--the nostalgia factor is amazing.

Yanks last year--my bad...the series was going on while we were dating and I hadn't moved in with him yet. His big screen BROKE during one of the games and I wasn't with him when the series was finalized. I thought I remembered them losing but apparently I am wrong! LOL! Sidenote: never buy anything electronic from one of those "super discount" electronics stores. Never.

OoOo! Flannel, no! But I bet they are beautiful. SO just got one that is cutoff sleeves, its definitely different and interesting looking. I am behind on my collection...any suggestions? So far I only have phillies jerseys but I'd like to expand to the Reds.

Until then, you are quite welcome (the kind words part!) I have no problem giving propers where they're due. I just love pro baseball and it's been so fun talking smack and getting to know everyone in this thread. Girls like to talk baseball too, and sometimes it's hard not to be overshadowed by the boys, so this was really fun for me, and I hope it's been (and will continue to be) a good place for all of us MLB fans to hang out and talk about the great American pass-time!

Pudge hit a foul ball that was headed straight towards me when my male friend leaned over from two seats away and STOLE IT FROM ME! Almost 15 years later and I'm still so angry. It was my ball! Not a season ticket holder; I believe that they were able to purchase yesterday... and I believe, from being a prior season ticket holder, they notify you before the regular season ends and give you the chance to purchase your same seats for all of the post-season games. If you decide not to, then you still get the earliest chance to buy out of what is left.
I signed up online in September to be put into a lottery. If you got chosen, then you were notified yesterday that you qualify for early purchasing, which started this morning at 9am and goes until tomorrow night at 5.

That's a crappy thing your friend did. People get crazy when it comes to game balls. So crazy.

Gotcha. I'm a Mavs season ticket holder, so along with our regular seats we're usually given the chance to buy individual tickets early - I didn't know if it was something like that! I am terrible at buying tickets to anything though right when they go on sale - I never wake up early enough! But very exciting that you got yours!

God, I still love baseball. I just love it! I will ALWAYS love it! What a fun game to watch! It always means summertime to me, and it always means super fun times, and it always means a sport/passtime that you can take your kiddies to! I LOVE baseball!
