Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Diver glad you are okay! D is such a cutie! I will call the 800 number today.

Curly, I agree with all of your suggestions. I also LOVE our swing. Tessa is a fussy baby so ANYTHING that can distract her is important to BOTH of our survival. I finally broke down and had DH give her a formula "relief" bottle. I got 4.5 hours of sweet, deep sleep. I woke up at 6 to pump (I was so engorged it was painful) and she woke up at 7 (DH fed her at 3 am and she passed out). I think that will become part of our routine. Otherwise I will have a breakdown. She has been cluster feeding ever since though. Should I worry about feeding her TOO much?

DH is a great swaddler and we use regular receiving blankets. I was not impressed with the swaddlemes (too loose). So far Tessa does not care about which brand of pacifiers. We mostly use Soothies. For bottles I have medelas and Born Free (Both BPA free). I also love the microwave sanitizer bags.

MSB, the lactation lady actually told me what size I needed but I am not sure if I can change it out. I will have to e-mail Medela and ask.

Haha..I can''t resist...Jake, xmas 2005....in the hat I took a snap of Delaney in the other day. I actually had this one done at Sears (I normally avoid cheap photographers, I''m a photo-snob....) i just asked them for a white background, b&w photo & to make the hat red.

Hmmm...I should get a hat that fits Delaney and have her done too....

Ella, your twins avatar still cracks me up. Sounds like you are as ready as you are ever gonna be!

SB, congrats...she is beautiful!

Tacori, I love the new pics of Tessa. I especially love the sleeping one (so peaceful) and the smiling one on the boppy. Too precious. LIke the push present too!

Qtiekiki, congrats! Definitely join us and post when you feel up to it or have time. I''m using this as a journal of sorts and started to copy and paste my posts into one document, since I have been so slack at doing a formal journal about my pregnancy! I hope you have a marvelously easy pregnancy, L&D!

Lili, the somersaults are fun, aren''t they? I mentioned in another thread about me feeling fat, so I feel your pain. All of the sudden I look REALLY pregnant, and I realize I have 4 months to go. How does this work? Yikes! I bet MrsSalvo is still tiny. Hmph!!

Jas, no stocking, or anything like that until the baby is born. I''m not superstitious, but it just really didn''t occur to me. I''m not sentimental that way. I just rub my belly and torment the kid...that''s about it. TGuy hates it when I "chase" the baby around my tummy with my pokes...he thinks I''m hurting it and starts running after me and poking me. It''s absurd!!

Diver love the latest holiday pics of the kids. And VERY glad you are OK!

That is so funny. Hubby is the same way with me too. I think he''s worst cuz he yelled me for even putting my hand on my tummy.
He''d be placing (or pressing) his hand on my face and ask if I like that
20.gif

Yep, I''m starting to pop too. There''s a big change from week 20 to 21. I don''t know how much I''ve gained since my last monthly appt.
We shall see in about an hour
32.gif
I know, MrsS and her sister are so teeny tiny. So jealous.

Awwee Diver, your kids are toooo cute.
I love that picture of D sleeping with her mouth open.
Such a sweet little angel.
And that picture of Jakey is just sooo cute for words.
He''s got the cutest little smile
30.gif

I''m so glad that you and your family are safe on your way home. So scary.

Anyway, since I don''t have one of my own to post yet,
thought I share one of my nephew from last year.
(he''s 1 month in the picture)

Diver, so glad you all are alright and the pics of delaney and jake are too cute. did you ever update us on the little nothing to worry about issue? i was thinking about you the other day....

tgal and lili- i sure do not feel small at all. i gained weight so quick with this one and have no idea where I''m at now. i go to the dr. in the am (had a little bleeding) so i''m getting checked out and i''m sure i''ll get to hit the scale..*grumble*... the boy (b/c we can''t decide on a name) has been moving around like crazy today so i''m sure everything is ok, but they still wanted me to go ahead and come in for peace of mind. my next appt. was on monday anyway so i don''t mind going in early, plus I LOVE hearing the heartbeat....

tacori- so glad you got some sleep. getting into a good routing and getting your hubby to help will make all the difference. I don''t blame you for giving into the forumula bottle at all. heck, i''m already planning on the folumula bottle and will use it at least once a day after 3 weeks.

oh and tgal, lili, jas...we need some belly shots of you gals since you''re actually sporting the bellies now...please don''t make me feel all alone. i''ll try to post an updated one soon too.

Gosh, Mrs S, I''m sorry...I think I did update, but knowing me I might have forgotten...my test came back fine, everything is A-ok! Thanks for asking! How are you feeling?

Ellaila: You feeling ok too? How is life in twinville? I was shopping online for a new packnplay and I thought of you when I saw a bassinet feature for twins in one.

Speaking of pack n plays...since I have to buy a new one (my parents want theirs back, since they babysit A TON, they need it too...and I will need one, we travel with the kids so much that I''ll use it till she''s almost 3. (Jake will be 3 in 2.5 weeks and last weekend was the last time he could use it...he''s finally to big for it) Anyone know where I can find a cute girly one for around $100? I really want something adorable if I have to buy one, I might as well "buy one" if you kwim. I don''t want to spend $150 to $200...but dang it is a must have in my life, it gets a ton of use.

This one is pretty cute, but I''m not thrilled by it...but its the cutest so far.

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=sc_qi_detailbutton/601-5824707-0913728?&frombrowse=1&page=1&field%2dbrowse=1041924&node=1041924&index=tgt%2dmf%2dmv&rh=&rank=price&asin=B000LNJBQ0

my bedroom is pale greens & taupes, so I want soft colors and/or pink.

The stuff I''m loving right now for baby? Backpack diaper bag. I had a petunia picklebottom, but it was the 1st generation & the flap never stayed down & the straps were uncomfortable. now I have a Kecci (machine washable too) in pink & black & I love it. Cheaper than a PPB, ($80, but I got mine for $30 at a big sale) and its really comfortable to wear on my back. With 2 kids, I can''t do an over the shoulder anymore without stuff falling all over.

I also love the natures touch papasan swing, ocean wonders bouncy seat (Delaney digs that thing to no end), and koala baby recieving blankets. (larger....make great burp cloths too). Aveeno baby creme (she has super dry skin).

I don''t sterilize a single thing with her. I simply wash her stuff in hot soapy water, that''s it. I didn''t even do a first time sterilize on anything. I sterilized EVERYTHING with Jake all the time, its a classic rookie mom move.

Now I just need ANOTHER pack n play. Argh. I do like that the Target one has a mobile overhead on it, she''ll love gazing at that.

Lili, your nephew is a cutie!

MrsS, I am getting over the formula thing. She has been hungry ALL day (wants to eat every hour
20.gif
) Then she cried 3 hours straight....this girl is tough.

Diver, we have the combiDX PN''P but I would not suggest it now that D is a little older (I chose it for its removable bassinet). Look at BabyCenterStore.com they have sales ALL the time. We have the same swing as you and love it. She takes naps in it.

So what types of things can you do to entertain a 1-2 month old?

Yes we must see belly shots! Don''t worry ladies...I am sure you will be NO WHERE as big as I was.
23.gif

okay, okay--the belly pic......here i am at 24 weeks (i know the pic says 23, but i just checked the calendar and i am 24 as of midnight--woohoo--i have a ''paint'' application right on my camera so it was too late to change it--details details ;-)
DH has taken all my pics so far (well, that''s only about 4, but that''s more than what i would take on my own)
i am not doing to bare ones just yet...maybe in a few weeks if i get the courage up

I apologize in advance if this pic is too big, too small, blurry etc. I swear i am completely inept when it comes to uploading on this site for some reason!

Okay tgal--''you''re it'' --get snapping!

i am off to eat and then sleep--OMG is my appetite out of control right now! Does the ''appetite of six grown men'' syndrome go away in the third tri? I hope so!

preggopic1.jpg

urrg--too small-i''ll try one more...

preggo2.jpg

Oh Jas you are TINY!!! Seriously. I am embarrassed that you saw my belly pics now!
40.gif
I was so hungry my 2nd tri as well. Don''t worry by the 3rd (mid to end) you won''t want to eat at all!

lili, that is funny...nice to know my hubby isn''t the only whack one! And your nephew totally made me go "awwwww!"

Diver, so THAT''S what a pack and play is eh? I have one sitting in my apartment right now. My friend gave it to me and I had no idea what it really was. It''s a Graco and it sounded like it would come in handy, so I took it. Cool! The one you like is VERY cute.

Jas, 6 months and tiny! Ugh! I''m not posting! Wah!

(OK, ok, I''ll do it tomorrow, I promise. And you betcha bootie that I''ll be wearing BLACK TOO.)

Eeeee! Congratulations! Can''t wait to meet those little santa babies.

Thanks Tacori and TGal. He is a cutie, but definitely a handful though. He just turned 1 and is already running around the house.
Maybe that''s why my sister lose all those weight chasing after him
9.gif

Wow Jas, 24wks and so teeny.

Can''t wait to see TGal''s and MrsS''s belly pictures.
I''ll try to get a few snaps sometime this week. It''s hard taking a picture of yourself though.
Don''t want to ask hubby to do it cuz he thinks I''m insane for taking belly pictures.

Wooowhee! I''ll keep you in my thoughts for a safe delivery for your sweet things! I bet since you put the santa hats on them, they decided to "make a delivery." Hehehehe..

Yay!!!

OMG OMG OMG, I feel like we need to rush somewhere, and do something!! There''s twins a''comin''!!!!!! Agggghhhhhh!!! Boil water! Get clean sheets!!! How many weeks is she? 35 or 36 now? Purty danged good for a twin-mommy!

Oh wow, I am so excited for you Ellaila. I cannot wait to see Thing1 and Thing2!

Sooo exciting!

MSB: That is a cool playard, but truly the color combo would kill me. I''m so bad, most of my gear is color coordinated with my house. I can''t stand the color schemes of most baby stuff, like my ocean wonders bouncer (thank goodness its real small) and my baby eintstein play mat (thank goodness that''s only a fun toy for about 3 months). Everything else is in soft neutrals. I found one on Sears.com that is the same one as I posted but with softer sage green & a real soft pink. I''ll get that one if I dont find something at Target or BRU that I like better.

wow....TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN''T WAIT!

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ELLA!! I know everything will go well!!

Congratulations to you and your dh!!!!

Tacori,
Don''t forget the growth spurts at occur at approximately 1 week, 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 month, etc. That could account for her wanting to eat every hour. Nursing every hour at this time will also help build up your milk supply to match her needs, otherwise you''ll find that you don''t make enough to feed her as she grows up.

OMG Ella!!! Showering you with fairy dust for an easy delivery, healthy babies and quick recovery.!!!

Jas,
You are so tiny for 24 weeks.

Calling veteran moms...
I think I jinxed myself a few posts back. Just last week, Baby C was sleeping 6 hour stretches, but suddenly he''s waking up HOURLY 4 nights in a row now. Cuddling doesn''t cut it either. He''s screaming and his eyes are pouring tears.
7.gif
He doesn''t seem sick and he''s a happy camper once the sun comes up. Any ideas?
Is no one going to even try to answer this? Baby C is still doing this (for a week now) but has tapered off from hourly wakings to every 2 hours.

Talk to you in a few days!~!!!

you are so sweet for giving us a quick update. when my water broke with my first, hubby was on the computer emailing all the family b/c it was 3:00am. sending many warm thoughts and prayers your way as you go and meet your babies!!!!!

ella, OMG!!!!! I''m sooooooooo excited for you. I hope you have a very quick and easy labor and delivery! Can''t wait to meet the twins. Wooohoooo, now that''s a true ps''er--letting us know that her water broke!!!
36.gif
36.gif

jas, you are tiny!! Great belly shot!

Chrono, I wish I had an answer for you but I''m such a newbie I have no idea. Is it teeth? I''m anxious to hear what some of the more experienced moms have to say. I''m sorry you''re going through this, it has to suck. Poor Baby C--I hope he''s ok. Have you asked your pediatrician about it?

Diver, we have the Graco Laura Ashley pnp from BRU but when I just checked the site, it''s not on there anymore. Weird. I love the new cherry blossom pattern one but it''s not cheap...

Oh wow, I decided to check in, and see ella''s gonna be a mommy! x2!! Woohooo!
36.gif

Chrono, gosh, I don''t know what to tell you about baby C. I''d call your pedi and ask them!

Chrono: I am in the same boat you are...my son now wakes up either every hour or every 2 hours, and im at a loss on how to make it better or for him to go back the way he used to be...its been going on like this for over 2 months
7.gif
... i know he is currently n the teething process, but man why does it take so long??

perhaps ur baby is going thru the same thing? or another thing i noticed with my son is the change in temprature really effected his sleeping habit, so i try to always maintain the same temp in his room that he is used too...

another option would be to perhaps trying to let him sleep on his side? that helped with my son too...how old is ur son again? (sorry im sure u said already somewhere, but my brain cells are on the fritz..)
