RE: Bedding You really won''t use those huge bedding sets...so unless you have money to burn I''d find a fabric you like and get someone to whip you up a cute crib skirt and then find some coordinating sheets. I made crib skirts out of this adorable fabric and it was VERY easy and VERY cheap.
Good idea...

But what''s a crib skirt?

I don''t know what you guys are talking about. List, what list? Baby, what baby?

Congrats Fabienne!!!

Ebree: We like James as a middle name, or Guy, still. Donovan is a good name, too. I''m so wishy washy. I really hope against all my feelings that it''s a girl so I don''t have to worry about naming a boy this round!

NYC - I love Sophia/Sophie. It was dfinitely in the running, but my cousin, who I am very close to, had a baby in May and named her Sophie. It''s not that long of a name so it''s not that likely that it would turn in to Sophie, but you never know what kids will do, so I wouldn''t pick a name if you hate the nickname. This is one reason we nixed the name Addison since I do not care for the nickname Addy.

Ebree - Thanks, Julian is my grandfather''s name and I really want to use it as the middle name. DH loves Chase, but I don''t love the way Chase Julian sounds. We also have a super long Polish last name, so I like the idea of being able to shorten James Julian to JJ.

Amber, I really like Riley, but I have to agree it is/ is becoming more of a girl''s name. I know two little Rileys and they are both girls. I love names that can be used for either gender (although my DH does not) but I understand where your DH is coming from about not using a name for a boy that''s mostly a girl''s name. For some reason that seems worse to me than giving a girl a name that is traditionally used for a boy. I really like Andrew and Donovan as well.

I think you have a lot of great boy names! Andrew James (you could use AJ as a nn?) and Donovan James are awesome, and both Guy and Riley could make good middle names for them as well.

We like Donovan because my grandpa and my late uncle (who passed away at 18 about 50 years ago) were named Donald, which reminds me of "Duck".

November, I tend to like double gender names as well, but Riley is just getting TOO girly for Paul. I can''t imagine having the son, Riley, in a class with four Riley Girls!

Happy to hear that Mela and Romeo are doing great! Can''t wait to see pictures.

This puts me at ease that everyone else out there is having trouble with names. We were completely set in names prior to getting pregnant---but my cousin had a baby and wound up using the name (no fault to her though---she didn''t know it was the perfect name for us).

Now I keep looking up names, babynamegenie.com is so much fun it''s ridiculous....but he just keeps vetoing them over and over again. But my real issue is he vetoes my names but rarely offers up any suggestions!

As for the itchy belly---i''m having the same problem near the belly button! It''s annoying. And my entire belly is so hard to the touch, it''s bizarre.

SO excited to meet little ROMEO. Glad to hear he''s feeding like a champ! Hope you are doing well MELA

Robbie--i don''t know how you ended up 3rd on this list. Seems like yesterday you announced you were preggie

Moving fast today, ladies! Of course I should be working, but quick post first.

Re: weight gain/comments: It's just so funny (and weird) that your body becomes an ok topic of conversation. So not appropriate! I came home early one day and my cleaning lady asked me when I was due and she said, oh wow, your belly is really big for an August baby! The funny thing is, it really isn't that big for 7 months, but I think people just say stuff. Mandarine, Amber- just lie. When your Dad asks you about it Mandarine, just say that the dr is actually worried b/c you aren't gaining enough. Let him worry about you for awhile.

Amber- I am still trying to get my head around the fact that your cousin has/is having so many twins. Hurts my head. I

Donovan James!!!! And it goes great with your last name- very cool last name, btw.

Peony- I gained zero in the first tri, then have been right on track ever since then. Your metabolism does speed up when you are preggo, so maybe that's what's going on with you. Don't worry, you will catch up! Trust your body.

Ebree- That's the carseat we registered for. I was worried about the fact that it only goes up to 22 lbs, but a bunch of friends have said that's heavy enough as it is, and they all were transitioning their kids into bigger carseats at that point anyways. I was being a brat and hated all of the boy fabrics on the 32, so we got the Platinum one.

So Cal- Love Elijah!!!!! Jeremiah is cool too.

Fabienne- Congrats!!!!

Re: Spilling food on boobs & bellies- Well, my boobs haven't gotten much bigger, so all of my food goes straight to the belly! I am doing so much more laundry already- guess it's preparing me for the real deal.

Robbie, Ebree- HOW are you #3 and 4? How are we all 3rd triers on this board????? Ahh, look how far we've come, we've all learned so much.

So I posted this picture of a bag of giant cheetos (seriously, hilarious) and a girl commented, "I''m so disappointed". You''ll be crying huge tears when you see I''ve eaten them all. Shut your face, lady. She''s also commented before on my donut status (I said I ate a donut- SHOOT ME), "Do you know how bad donuts are for you?" They ARE?? And I thought they were made of liquid rainbows and good luck shaken off kitty paws.

Really people: keep your coaching to yourselves.

Ha Amber- now THIS is the snarky Amber I know and love! I was just thinking the other day how nice and sweet you've been since jumping on the preggo board.
2.gif
Reminds me of my fave snarky friend from high school. She was a smoker in college and someone at a bar said "You know, cigarettes are bad for you." She opened her eyes wide and said "Really? I had NO idea. You think they'd put that in big letters right on the box, wouldn't you?" I for one, have no desire to be friends with someone who doesn't understand Cheetos. Yum.

I friended you on FB- had a moment of fear though- so weird to not be anonymous, you know????

Re: FB- I am "friends" with Amber now- my avatar is also a picture of my dog, but he's much bigger than Amber's cutie pie. It's him against a bright green background. And I live in Texas (for now). I don't think anyone could find me otherwise, only Mela knows my real first name. Oh, well now Amber does!!! I think I saw Ebree, Fiery, Neat and maybe even Courtneylub????? Not sure though.

Let's see, China, I have Ebree, Mela, Mandarine, Robbie, Fiery, Courtney and... you? Is that it?

And yes, that lady is going to die a silent cartoon death in my head- is this that preggo rage I've been thinking I had? Well, it's out in force now. She doesn't even know I'm pregnant! Punchaface.

So it has been a crappy day full of work (not that you could tell that from all the time spent here!), with only an apple and some special K- which is sooo tasty. Minus the gross aftertaste.

ETA: And yes, boss of mine, COME TO WORK SICK! Because that's FABULOUS to stand right behind the pregnant horribly asthmatic girl with your CHEST COLD.

Hey, guys
35.gif

Just wanted to see if I could join you guys over here even though it's really early (I'm 5 weeks today!). We're not telling anybody yet except family and 2 best friends, so it will be nice to talk to other people about it all. Hope everyone is doing well. Just having lots of yucky morning sickness all day long, but that's okay, I know it is a good sign so I'm trying to suck it up
2.gif
. I just went to my first appt. yesterday to confirm everything and will go back in 2 weeks for my first ultrasound...yea! Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!

Yay congratulations Steph

Congrats Steph!! Any chance it could be twins?? I clicked over to the TTC thread and saw a super dark line- and coupled with bad m/s.... just saying!

Yes, China that''s me. Add me! I don''t think I have Fiery on FB yet...or do I?? I think I even added a couple that I know are on PS but not sure which PSers they are!! If I added you on FB, tell me on PS! I know I requested Neat, Robbie, Mela, Amber, and SS(which PSer has those initials?)

Yay Steph, congrats!!!!

Courtney I just sent over a request
2.gif

I accepted, Fiery! And Blen too! This is great.

China- I think you''ll like the Platinum. I was telling DH how happy I was that it matched the inside of our car (tan) AND our stroller (black), and he rolled his eyes and laughed. What? Is there something wrong with wanting coordination?
3.gif

Amber- Disappointed? Because she doesn''t have immediate access to a package of cheesy deliciousness? What is wrong with some people?
38.gif

steph- Congratulations!
36.gif
Of course you''re welcome.

Wow, don't log in for half a day, and the thread moves 3 pages!

I'm going to stick to topics rather than individuals...

Weight gain: I'm not upset with my number...however, I am more upset with my actual size. I've gained about 20 lbs at 31 weeks. Since I was overweight beforehand, the dr. said to shoot for around 25, and I think I will be pretty close to that overall, maybe a bit over. But I think because I'm so short, my belly really has no place to go but out, and I feel huge and get comments a lot. Not fun.

Names: I kept thinking we'd have a "that's the one!" moment, but we didn't. We basically went back and forth for a while, and when dh basically said no to every other name I liked, I just started referring to baby as Jackson, and then after my shower I signed our cards Love Sabine, Mr. Sabine, and Jackson, so that made it official...

Facebook: I don't currently have it. Being a teacher, I never felt comfortable, but Friday is my last day!!! I will probably make one soon, so I'll be on the look out for all of you!

Fabienne, CONGRATS!!!! Can't believe you didn't even pop in over here! Not really, but still, so excited for you!

Did I mention that Friday is my last day of teaching, EVER!!!! So excited. Dh officially moved to our new apartment in Va today, and I'll be joining him on Saturday. It's weird hearing about it from him, but I think overall it will be a great place once we get settled.

ETA: Itchyness/stretch marks...I was never really itchy, but I started using lotion around 12 weeks. Of course I still got stretch marks. Ugh.

Ebree- Well, gotta get the coordination going now while we have some control. Have a feeling all of that goes out the window!

Steph- Congrats and welcome!!! I will be interested to hear the perspective of a preggo who is also already a mom. Probably less time consuming the second time around.

Sabine- Wow, your last day of teaching EVER? Are you going to stay home with Jackson? You know, as far as "the one", I have a new theory about that. I developed it while searching for my wedding dress.
2.gif
I was convinced that I had to find "the one" and that I shouldn''t pick a dress until I had that feeling. Well, I never had it, and I kept going back to this one, simple but lovely dress. I realized that it had everything I wanted and nothing I didn''t want. This may sound bad, but I mean it in the best possible way, but I kind of felt that way about my DH. When we met, I definitely wasn''t like he''s "the one", in fact I really thought I would never end up with him. But suddenly I realized he has all the qualities I want in a man, and none that I don''t want, and wow, how lucky is THAT? He''s my best friend and I can''t imagine my life without him. Anyways, that''s how I think it is with the name too. At least it''s gonna have to be, cause I definitely don''t have "the one". But Jackson is a fantastic name. Good luck on the big move, we will be moving this weekend too! Not as far as you though.

Court- Will add you for sure!

Amber- Couldn''t find Mela on your friends for some reason. Off to add the few that I can identify.

Robbie - I think of your little one as Desi, but I really like Simon.

My name is excessively long, if that helps anyone else find me.

Uh oh baby crying, back later.

Hey ladies!

CONGRATS MELA AND PANDORA! - Daisy is a real doll and I can''t wait to see Mr. Romeo! Exciting stuffs.

Drive by post because my crazy neighbors are coming over for dinner, but I wanted to say YAY FOR BOTH OF YOU!

Lysser- She lives!!! Come back and post an update when you have time!

Fiery- I *think* I sent you a friend request, but forgot to add a message telling you who I was. Not sure it''s you though, so hmmm.

Thank you so much Fiery, Kaleigh, & Ebree!

Amber, Oh my...is a super dark line associated with twins? Hubby does have twins on his side, so you never know!

Chinacat, you''re right so far...less time to think and worry about things with a 4 year old running around!

Steph-congrats! A very dark line can be associated with twins (due to the higher levels of hormones) but don''t worry-twins running on your DH''s side doesn''t increase your chances-only if it ran on your side!!!
