Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Congrats, Steph!

I wish Facebook had a feature where you could make notes about people. With all of the friends I''ve added today I''m going to have a hard time remembering who''s who.

As far as "the one," I think I''m having a hard time with names because none of them seem like "the one." I definitely had the feeling with DH and I''m pretty sure I had it with my wedding dress and even my diamond. Perhaps I''m just remembering incorrectly on the dress though. I do remember that I couldn''t stop thinking about the dress I ended up wearing even though I''d already bought another. Agh. I hope I don''t name our kid something and then regret it or end up changing it later! I have a bad track record of changing my mind...

Steph, I was just remembering Peony and her super dark line and m/s! I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months!

China, hmmm. I''m not Mela''s friend I think. Preggo brain strikes again (my book was in the fridge yesterday!), I did find her there, though!

Dur, Sweet Pea, NOT Mela, and Tiffany Twisted and Blenheim!

Thanks for the weight gain reassurance! I think part of my issue w/ weight gain is that I'm a little less hungry than normal (probably because I'm not running) and I hate stuffing myself excessively. Still, I'm eating a LOT! I'm trying to eat a lot of calorie-dense things like PB, dried fruit, and cheese, and I have a "weight-gain" shake every night w/ whey protein powder, milk, cocoa powder, a little sugar, and some canola oil. It's almost the same as the Boost High Protein drink that some of my other friends with twins have been advised to drink but without the corn syrup. Robbie, I added juice and am having full-fat dairy everything except for milk. I usually do skim but I'm doing lowfat milk. It is sooo much thicker to me!

Hopefully I'll start gaining soon since I am no longer throwing up. I was +3 pounds at 15 weeks and my uterus was measuring at 18-20 weeks according to the middie.

Welcome to the thread, steph! Maybe you're having a girl this time? I heard that girls were associated w/ more m/s.

Hey Mandarine, have you scheduled your big 20-week anatomy scan yet? Ours is going to be really intense since it's twins, so I'm guessing they'll do something similar for you. Going to look at the placentas really carefully, do a fetal echo, etc. and there will be a MFM doc there.

November, our DHs are very close in age. Mine will be 30 on July 7th. Are you planning anything big besides the ultrasound (which is very big!)? I'm not planning anything yet, but I need to start!

Hi All!!

NYC I have this exact problem of not being able to think of any new names that DH might like because I already have the names I like. I feel like I''ve already gone through all the lists and found the few that work for me!

That''s why we''re not discussing names that much until we find out the sex in 4 weeks. Then we''ll only have to focus on one name
1.gif

November how exciting you''ve scheduled your big ultrasound! I''m having mine the same week, I''ll be on June 23rd!
36.gif
I just can hardly wait now, are you getting totally excited?

To all the ladies who have baby bellies, I think you all look amazing!~ I wish I had one. I thought I''d have one by week 16, but it''s coming up this weekend and still no sign. Soon, soon.

I too have never signed up for FB. I always refused, like November
3.gif
But I''m getting jealous of you all finding eachother now!
3.gif

Wow Sunkist and Amber, our big appointments are June 23, 26, and 29! Makes sense since we all got knocked up the same cycle!
9.gif

Heehee, cool Peony! And we''ll all be about 18 weeks, right? Or Peony will you be 19 weeks by the 29th? I just hope it''s far enough along to get a good enough look at the goods, since I''m not waiting till 20 weeks and all.

Wait, Amber, did you say when your big appt is??? I know November said her''s is on the 26th.

Sunkist, you''re right! We have our next appointment on Tuesday, and I suppose we''ll schedule our big ultrasound then- I''ll be 16w2d on the next appointment. It''s crazy how close we are!

OMG!!!! how did i get to be #2 on the list....i''m very anxious and feel VERY nervous for some reason.....i thought i''d be more relaxed with #2, but i think knowing makes it worse. that and the name issue dh and i are having.....its stressing me out.
32.gif

Peony, Sunkist, Amber, How fun that we are so close together. I think Peony and Sunkist have said that they are going to find out what they are having, Amber, are you planing to find out? I don''t know how I am going to wait 3 more weeks, I am getting so excited.

Peony, For the actual birthday, DH and I are planning to just spend the day together, go out to lunch and maybe order our baby furniture. I am having a big BBQ with all our friends and family at our house on Sat. for his b-day. What are you planning for your DH?

November, I am SO going to find out! I am a planner, and there is no way I''m going to get a bunch of green and yellow things from my family (who tends to buy stuff unasked), because I know that''s what they''ll get us. I really think it''ll be easier for me to "connect" to the baby inside, ya know- especially since I still can''t believe anything is in there? It''ll also help to focus on names, since we''re having such a hard time. In my sad little mind, what''s the difference between a surprise at 20 weeks or a surprise at 40 weeks? It''s still a surprise either way, to me.

I DO admire those who are waiting- but I''m the type who goes searching for Christmas presents the week before Christmas!

NYC, you''re so close! Seeing yourself move up the list is definitely scary!

I just ordered our new camera! I''ve been telling DH for months that our crappy point n shoot wasn''t going to cut it once the baby is here now that I''ve taken a photography class and have been using a DSLR. I''ve been spoiled by having access to my work camera (Nikon D80) whenever I want, but I won''t be able to use it when I''m on leave. We decided to go with the Canon Rebel Xsi. My photographer friend said I can use her lenses when I 2nd shoot for her, so that pretty much made the decision for us about whether to go Canon or Nikon. I can''t wait for it to get here! It''s supposed to ship on Friday!

Congrats to Mela and Fabienne!

Sunkist - I''m with you at this point ~ still without a bump! I''ll be 13 weeks on Friday, so you''re a few weeks ahead of me, but I thought I would at least have a teeny bump by now!

I have a question about peeing. I know that frequent urination is a common sympton of the first trimester, but many things I''ve read say it decreases at the beginning of the second trimester and returns in the third. In the past week or so (since about 11 - 12 weeks), I have had to pee even more! Has anyone else not had the frequent urination go away???

HI SPECIAL FRIENDS!!! I''ve been thinking of you all and wanting to get on the computer so badly...but well...you know!

he''s a cutie!

Woweeeeeeeeeee Mela, he is gorgeous!!! Like mother like son I suppose.

I can''t wait to hear the rest of your story.

Whoops, I confused Amber and November. Must be the -mber ending (just kidding!). I''ll be exactly 20 weeks at the ultrasound (I still think 19 weeks and 5 days according to my charting though). Sunkist, you''ll be able to tell as long as the baby is positioned okay! Apparently you can tell anytime after 16 weeks and I think Mandarine might have found out at 15.

I don''t know that to do for my DH''s 30th! Last year I spent months planning gifts and he loved all of them (just small things), but this time I can''t think of anything. He says that he''s like new headphones and maybe faster Internet.
3.gif
Etsy has some really cute onesies for twins (and singletons), so I may get him a few baby things.
9.gif
He has to work that day, so we might just go out to dinner.

We also have our 2-year anniversary on June 10th, and we haven''t planned anything for that. Hmmm.

Indy, the peeing hasn''t let up for me either.
