Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Mara, you look so cute! You are all leg and a bump, with cute toes lol.

QT, your belly button gives me a good giggle - I don''t think mine will do that, it''s pretty deep, but I did notice mine is starting to flatten out. My husband thinks it''s weird lol.

Anchor, I can''t believe how close you are! Only a few more weeks. Your belly is so cute and round.

Meresal, I love your little bump, you''re really starting to show now
5.gif

Steph, you are soooo little for being so close! Only a few weeks to go, yay!

And here is my contribution for BPF, I am 25 weeks today. My belly is not always this "pointy" looking, which I think is hilarious - some days my belly is smaller, some days it still has a belly button indent, and some days it is HUGE and round. It must depend on the amount of bloat, darn it.

I also look totally irritated in this pic, but I swear I am happy - it''s Friday and potluck day at work, yayyyy!

MP, you look great! My belly does that too...it looks bigger some days and smaller others.

so, i guess it''s time for me to contribute. i''ll be 21 weeks tomorrow.

Kimberly~yay for vacation. Today is our last day and then we have 2 weeks as well. Can't wait!

Steph~Looking tiny and cute as usual!! I made a conscious effort to NOT wear a sweater today!
41.gif

MonkeyPie~My belly changes too. Weird. You look great!

jcrow~Yay for a belly pic! You are so tiny. You look amazing!!

Forgot to mention in my first post that today I realized I can no longer see "down there." I swear two days ago I did. Yay for me!

After all the talk about heartburn yesterday (to which I though "I've been soooo luck") I got the worst heartburn ever last night! Booo to HB!!

And, Steph and Vesper your stories of crying at Christmas programs has me nervous!! T's is tonight and I am afraid I'll be a weepy mess!!

jcrow, omg, you are so little! I love your boots too lol.

Burk, how funny - I had heartburn last night, too. It was like we jinxed ourselves.

thanks! those are my "i feel skinny boots" as in i feel skinny when i wear them

burk - thanks. i swear i feel like i look like an elephant. or at least like i swallowed one. it''s really hard to to see myself gain weight + belly. i''m pretty self-conscious. ugh.

swimmer - those shirts are on sale at target? sheesh, i just loaded up on all their colors [expect white - hello see-through!] the last time i was in target. i love them. soft, fitted. in fact, that''s what i''m wearing in the pic i posted today. they are a bit long on me [as is all maternity stuff!] since i''m so darn short, but i still love them.

Ah, perfectly normal to feel elephant-like!!

This is my second go at it and it''s still hard at times! It''s all worth it in the end and you''ll lose the weight!

Burk, my stomach is square, too, and my belly button hadn''t even come close to popping, I still can''t see where it ends.

I''ve accomplished nothing this morning aside from a bit of picking up and a long discussion with my husband about moving plans and all that''s going to entail. Oh well, I have 15 days off to get things done and he''s said he''ll take care of most of the cleaning tomorrow, I just have a small list of things to do and the baking can wait until tomorrow. I have an upset stomach so since we talked I''ve been laying on the bed staring at the ceiling. I''m supposed to go to a Christmas party tonight but I don''t feel up for it, my nose is still running, I''m still coughing and now with this wierd stomach thing I think I''d better just stay home.

all you ladies look wonderful!!

had my 38 week appt, and was barely 1cm and head was still high, which is fine with me. i''m now looking forward to spending christmas with the little guy before baby gets here.

have a wonderful weekend!!

Everyone is looking so great! I feel like I''ve grown a lot in the last couple weeks, but looking at the photos, it''s more like my belly has grown upwards. I was going to post a photo last week, but couldn''t figure out how to download it from my new camera. So 28w is on the left, and 29w is on the right (both with me sucking my belly in as well as I could :) ).

We''re signing our contract with one renovator tomorrow after trying for ages to get a second quote (which came in over 20% less than the original quote, but we don''t have as much faith in the second guy). Get possession of our new house Jan 15th. The owner has decided to be a pain and not give us drawings and stuff ahead of time, and wants to take the big halogen wire light system out of half of the large room in the basement - without it, there is no other ceiling light on that side of the room. We''re trying to get our agent to wrangle us a deal (since all ELFs were included) where we get the built-in king bed frame/headboard + bedside tables + master bathroom mirrors + bedroom mirror in exchange for the light. The headboard is permanently attached to the wall, and the bedside tables are floating ones, and we thought the bathroom mirrors were in the house price already, so I''m hoping he''ll figure out that it''s not worth arguing about if we''re willing to let him take the light. His agent says it''s a very expensive fixture... Headaches!

I''ve been back to work for almost 2 weeks now - so far, so good. I think all the tightenings and stuff that was really scaring me is settling down now. Still get a few odd ones, but they don''t seem to last as long or be as frequent. Had my 28 week check on wed, and she''s growing on track. I''m up 9.4kg (20.68lb) so far. I think I''ll stop drinking the protein shakes now! Hopefully getting back to work and moving around more will start to curb my weight gain, or I''ll end up huge. She''s staying head down at this point, with her little feet up on my right side nudging into my guts and ribs. I get periods of crazy belly acrobatics too, where the whole thing is just shaking around for a while. I always wonder what she''s up to in there when that happens.

Disappointment for this week: I wanted to buy the Uppababy Vista in the US for a fantastic price (esp compared to Canada''s price), but if I buy it there the warranty is only valid in the US. Bummer - guess I''ll have to get it here and shell out about $200 more for it. I just don''t want to have hassles if something goes wrong with the frame or anything.

Anchor and Puffy - you''re looking great for being so close to the end!

And our department was seeing a demo of a nice portable ultrasound machine last Friday. Got the guys to scan baby and give me a couple pictures. Head was too low for them to get a proper look, but I got a cute shot of most of one hand and one of her feet. Looks like she might have high arches like her Mum!

Baby fingers and thumb and baby foot 28w.JPG

Sorry about the size - they didn''t look that huge on my computer!

Hi, ladies.

I haven''t posted here yet, I''ve stayed to the "Just Barely" thread but I have a question and I''m hoping one of you can help.

I''m 10 weeks and have come down with a horrible cold. When I was pregnant with JT, my doc told me the ONLY thing I could take was regular tylenol. She was a bit of a spazz and I go to a different doctor now. However, they''re out of the office until Monday so I can''t ask them. What cold medicines have you been approved to take?? My main symptoms are fever, congestion and sore throat. Tylenol Cold usually works wonders for me so I''m hoping I can take that.

TIA!!!

btw- really cute belly pics. I don''t think I''ll be posting those! I definitely don''t get the "cute" belly!! lol

ha ha omg...jcrow girl you are TINY. you look NORMAL. and in jeans with BOOTS and heels at 21 weeks. JEEZ! i was wearing flats at like 15 weeks hahha. and my boots prob didn''t fit either hehe.

burk you are all belly, and surely don''t look ready to pop. do those people know what that means? hehee.

steph your belly is so small, its so funny we are the same along but you are much tinier than me, you can see way more of your feet!

drk...looking good...!! love the US pics!

mp you too...i love the pointy belly. sometimes mine feels like it does have a diff shape.

does anyone else feel like some days their fundus feels just bigger and the next it''s smaller? i almost feel like it has to do with bloating.

i think also why my belly feels so big a lot of the time is that it''s so hard now because he''s so big. so it feels more like i am lugging around a ball under my shirt than flesh.

i was told that any tylenol product was safe. what type of medicine specifically are you hoping to take [decongestant, etc.]? i have a print out of the approved medicines that my doc gave me and i can look up what''s safe in the catagory you''re interested in.

please do post belly pics! it took me forever to get the courage to do so [um, 21 weeks
40.gif
] and trust me, i don''t feel like i have a cute belly!

mara - haha. i think it''s all a big ole illusion
16.gif
black shirt + skinny boots does wonders haha. seriously, when i see myself sideways i scare myself sometimes. like omg, what''s that?! oh yeh, my big preggo belly! haha.

jcrow~ Thanks for looking this up!! The decongestant is mostly what I need. In Tylenol Cold, the active ingredients are just acetominophen, Dextromethorphan (cough supressant), and Phenylephrine HCl (decongestant). The night time version also has an antihistamine Chlorpheniramine maleate.

btw- you have a supercute belly!

my list says any tylenol allergy/cold product is ok. the other options under the colds/flu/allergies are:

actified, 4 hr. sudafed, robitussin, any cough drops, guaifenesin, benadryl, claritin, claritin d, alavert, zyrtec, zyrtec d, nasonex

i know ever doctor is different. this is just my doctor''s "safe" list.

thanks + good luck with the cold!

Thanks, jcrow!! Isn''t it funny that my other doctor said NOTHING was safe?!? She even told me I couldn''t paint my nails.

20.gif

you know, i had never heard about the nail polish thing before until recently. one person mentioned it to me. i was like seriously?! i know people get mani + pedis all throughout their pregnancies!

lol I still got the mani-pedis!! That''s why she was always on me about it. Everytime I had an appt my toes were freshly painted! She was also against highlighting hair. Another thing I chose to ignore....

yeh i had heard about highlighting the hair. but i''ve also heard that the dye doesn''t even touch the scalp when you do foils.

No pic from me today because I was too lazy to do it. You all look GREAT!

SomethingShiny, I got a cold early on in this pregnancy and then again just in October. I take Mucinex for it and this is a pregnancy category C. I feel comfortable taking some category Cs, but not everyone is so it''s probably best to check with your doctor.

A humidifier is great for helping with stuffiness and so is Vick''s Vapor Rub on your chest before bed (even though it STINKS!!).

Mara, my belly changes shape quite often depending on how my boy is lying. He loves to go transverse with his back against my belly and then apparently push out so I look all deformed.

Taovandel, that''s cool that we''re almost neighbors! I''m a bit to the southwest of Richmond. I''m jealous of you right now because I don''t think you''re getting the snow that''s being dumped on us, are you? I do NOT like snow so this on top of the pressure to get the Christmas shopping done is driving me nuts.

highlights are supposed to be safe because they don't touch your scalp... they say don't 'dye' the whole head i guess. and nails..i still get mani pedi. i heard something about the chemicals from like fake nails, but who knows as well.

i just took back a bunch of newborn clothes that people had given us as i don't plan to dress himin lots of cute clothes at birth ...target was so easy to return to and i had no receipts. they just gave me store credit, yay. i know that when i was considering registries that a lot of people thought target was hard to return to so i was glad that i didnt have any issues. we only have one or two more things to return at this point.

rps lol re: the transverse... my guy doesnt move much from his fave positions ... but i am still afraid he will go all subway sandwich on me like amberwaves' girl used to ...hehee.

awwwww
you guys made me miss my belly!!!!!
You all look so great!!!

Steph - Where are you hiding that baby!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? You are so TINY!!!!!!
JCrow, love the outfit and you are so little!!!! You''re going to have the cutest belly!!!
Anchor - What a perfect round belly!!! You''re almost there! I love it!!!
MP - You look great!!!!!!!
Qti - You are just too cute!!! Love your belly! perfection!

Sorry to the girls I missed...I''m exhausted and can''t recall all the names! But you all look great!

Enjoy the bellies, the kicks and the hiccups!. My boys had hiccups all the time but I hated them! I think the sensation of both of them having the hiccups at the same time was just too much! (and the always seemed to get them at the same time!). Now I sort of miss feeling the hiccups!...and it''s funny because they get the hiccups quite often, just like they did in the womb!.

I won''t tell you to "sleep while you can" because well, I could barely sleep when I was pregnant so I hated when people told me that!...I will say though, enjoy the belly, rub it and take tons of pictures!. Once those babies come out you will always stare at your baby(ies) and be amazed that s/he lived in you for 9 months!

Congrats girls!

Awww...you ladies are so cute w/ your bellies.
Like Mandy, they make me miss being pregnant.
Enjoy those kicks and wriggles.

Tao--
That 2D scan of the hair is so cute.
I didn''t think they would be able to capture that.

Mara--
LOL...love that aerial shot. Too funny.
You may feel huge, but you are by no means huge.
You look fantastic and quite small.
You look so cute w/ your round belly and those long legs!

I love target too w/ their fantastic return policies.

QT--
Love that belly button...and of course the belly.
Like others have said, you are all belly.
So slim and tiny everywhere else.
And I must say that I love your skin tone too :D

Burk--
I can''t believe someone would make that comment w/ that belly of yours.
It is small and you do carry pretty low.
So which is better? Carrying high or low?

Steph--
Once again....your belly just amazes me.
Where are you hiding that 4lb baby of yours?

Anchor--
You look great and you do look like you''ve dropped.
You are so close!

Meresal, Jcrow, Swimmer --
Your little bellies are so cute.
Can''t wait to see them grow ^.^

DrK--
Another small belly.
I can definitely see that it is more filled up this week.
Cute US pictures.

-----
keep those belly pictures coming.
i love seeing them.

Heartburn: I didn''t have any when I carried my DD, and she came out w/ a head full of hair.
HeartRate: Her HR varies from 140-150.

Jcrow, you are too cute! Love the boots...I would have fallen over in them though, I was so dizzy in the beginning!

Burk, how did T''s program go? Aren''t they so sweet? I love to see them all up there, dressed up!

Kimberly, hope you feel better!

Puffy, you are getting so close!

DRK, you are still so tiny...cute ultrasound pics!

SS, just wanted to say congrats and hope you feel better!

Mara, I feel like that, but mine is more throughout the day I start feeling bigger. I feel HUGE at night, and then by the morning I am smaller...I guess it''s just bloat. Have your feet started to swell yet? Mine are super swollen pretty much all the time now. Thank goodness I''m in FL and I can get away with flip flops b/c I tried to buy some new shoes a whole size up and they wouldn''t fit!

Hi, Mandi
35.gif
Good to see you! How are the boys?

Thank you Lili, you are so sweet!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am off to get dressed for Andrew''s early morning basketball game
