Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Lindsey- Like so many of us, I am following your pregnancy from afar. I still remember you throwing your positive pee stick with Natalie in your LV bag! I am really sorry to hear the results, but I am praying for you and refuse to believe that there will be any other outcome other than you holding your sweet and perfectly heatlhy baby boy in your arms at the end of all of this. Hugs to you and please keep us posted. You are so strong and such an inspiration.

ETA: Lulu, I was just logging on to ask you when your gender scan was! One week, so exciting! I am thinking GIRL for you. Do you have any intuitions?

Steph- Hope all is well, can't wait to meet your little one!

I cannot wait to meet all the new PS babies! Yay!

Lindsey - You and your LO are going to be in my thoughts and prayers! Many many good vibes going your way!

monkey - glad that you were able to skip that procedure. doesn''t sound like too much fun

shiny - i didn''t love the bellaband, but i only tried the target variety. this looks like an interesting option. Basically just a pin that gives you some more time in your old pants, nothing to slip off, adjust, etc.

china - i have had no inlkings about whether this babe is a little lad or lady. however, according to the chinese lunar calendar the LO is a she...hmmm.

Oh ladies... amnio results came in and the little one is Rh+
39.gif
Sigh. I''ve said all along that I thought he was Rh+, but it was still different hearing it. It is like having Natalie all over again. But I have another doppler ultrasound tomorrow so we''ll see if his levels are rising or not. I know that we''re in for a bumpy ride but I am just hoping, hoping, hoping that I will get to hold a sweet, healthy little guy in a few months. Sorry for the short self-centered post... I am so anxiously awaiting news from all of you ladies who are due this week! And Lulu I am so excited that you''re feeling movement
1.gif
It is so awesome.
Lindsey, big hugs. I''m sending lots of prayers and positive vibes your way. I''m so sorry you are going through this again
15.gif

Lindsey, I think of you and Natalie often, and I''m so sorry to hear that you didn''t get the news you hoped for. I''ll be praying that all is well and I''ll continue to lurk in this thread for the next few months until I see photos of you holding your baby.

Jen

Charger~Hey there! Glad your u/s went well and you are able to feel good about electing not to do the amnio. Did I miss it or did you find out the sex of your little one?

lovelylulu~You''re keeping a great attitude about your doc situation and you''re so right that it''s really the nurse!!

monkey~I''m glad you decided to wait on the exam. Not worth the extra stress!

meresal~acid reflux is not fun! I have my bottle of tums on my nightstand!

something~I loved my bellaband and wore it from 23 weeks until the very end my first pregnancy. With this one I started wearing it around the same time but don''t find it quite as comfy now at the end. At any rate, I got a lot of good use out of them (I have a black and a white).

rps~I can just imagine the looks and responses you get when you tell people you''re overdue!! I get those same kinds of comments and I''m only 37.5 weeks.

DH is out of down until tomorrow night. Hopefully baby stays put while he''s gone.
40.gif
I really doubt I go early...but do think wouldn''t it just be my luck that I would go into labor tonight. My mom is staying with T and I just in case!

Thinking of everyone who''s so close and can''t wait to get updates!

Hi ladies, I don''t usually post but I have read a lot on this site! I am pregnant and due in September!
36.gif
I have my fiest appt next week! But for some reason I am really scared about all the std tests they do. I have never had any signs or symptoms of a std or hiv but just taking the test scares me! I have had a few partners and some without protection but none that I know have anything. Has anyone else been scared of the results? I just want me, my husband and baby to be healthy!!

Lindsey, Am praying for you and your LO. At least the doctors know and are on top of it.

Steph, Hoping all went great this morning and your are holding your precious baby boy!!!

Mara?? Are you in labor?? Thinking of you!!!

And oooohh, Mara hasn''t been in for awhile...here''s hoping her little man is working on his grand entrance!

hi ladies, i am still here hehe.

i swear last nite i was like this might be it. my belly was so hard it was uncomfortable, i was having a lot of contracts and the back was tightening up and getting more painful when i stood and getting lots of nerve pains down my legs. bending over a desk would alleviate the feelings.

but nope, i go to lay down and boom fall asleep and that's all she wrote! everything ceases. i think my body is too good at SLEEPING and just halts everything in it's tracks. hehee. and then in the morning i feel like wow i am still sore, back still hurts, hips are killing me (the hip flexors hurt so badly in the morning from me just flipping all my weight from side to side now), and it kind of starts all over!

so anyway who knows... i am following no real rhyme or reason hehe. i am just trying to enjoy every morning when i wake up and lay in bed with portia before it all changes.
5.gif
we walked last nite with portia for a good 40 min, so plan to do the same thing again today.

this is a weird Q and i may just email my doc but greg asked about my mucus plug and he was like well if the Dr was able to get a finger into cervix (1cm) and stripped membranes then isn't the plug GONE? even if i didn't see it come out entirely? i was like that is a good Q. who knows!

i was thinking last nite it would be funny if someone like burk or ginger who are 1-2 weeks behind us would go first before QT or me or RPS!!! it has happened before! get ready girls hehe.

steph...hope you are holding your bundle of joy right now, can't wait to see the pics!

MP...i always tell people the same thing re: my preggo friends. i think people are like what is this a town of pregnant women? hehe. plus i have like 4 friends preg in real life and then the PS gals so it is a lot!

first baby..welcome and i wouldn't worry too much about testing. you will have to get a lot of testing done during pregnancy so just try to reconcile yourself to being stuck many times for blood and then waiting to hear results! by the 3rd tri you get a weird sense of zen about it hehe.

Firstbaby2010-Welcome! I understand what you mean that you are scared. Anything blood related can be scary. I am sure that you will be okay. The advice that I got when I first found out that I was pregnant was to always think postive thoughts and feel that you have a happy and healthy baby growing inside of you. Don''t worry you willl be okay!

Aw, nuts, Mara! I thought for sure you were on your way!

Aw, nuts, Mara! I thought for sure you were on your way!

i know!! i told greg last nite i am ready for these vaguely uncomfortable irritating feelings to give away to something REAL because it''s a mental roller coaster every night! it''s like oh oh oh maybe maybe, feels weird, kinda hurts, oh hard to breathe, oh *zzzz*. jeez! hehee.

Firstbaby, welcome! I''m also due in September, so it''ll be nice to have someone along for the ride!

Hey girls, quick update. ..little Evan was born at 7 this morning and weighed in at 6.5 pounds and 18.5 inches. He is tiny and so sweet! If I can figure out how to post a pic from my phone I will. Thanks for all the well wishes, I can''t wait to hear about all the other babies!

Yayyyyyyy Steph!!! And yay for little Evan! I am so glad he arrived safe and sound - I can hardly wait to see his adorable little face. Congrats!!!

Welcome to baby Evan. Congratulations on your baby boy Steph.

Congratulations Steph!!!!

ugh- I am DRAGGING here at work today! Forgot to mention earlier that I'm sicky (well, getting over it). Was fighting a bug all last week and it finally kicked my butt on Sat. I lost my voice on Monday. It's kinda back, but I sound like a pack-a-day smoker! Anyway, a hacking cough kept me up last night. Finally went downstairs at 3a to "sleep" on the chaise. Wish I could've slept in and hit the office a bit late, but had a 7:15a OB appt. Ouch! I then thought that I would just power through most of the day in the office and take off early. Nope, have plans to meet girlfriends for dinner in the opposite direction from home. I'd call and cancel, but this is like the 3rd time we've rescheduled. oh well- I'll crash when I get home.

OB appt this morning was routine. All is well, and I'm still on track for a June 24th DD.

Mere, I have no history of downs in my family. It's just the worry wart in me, especially because of my AMA (advanced material age). Everything I'd read says that the risk goes up with age, so it's always been this "thing" in the back of my mind. oh no, sorry to hear about the reflux. I didn't have MS during my 1st Tri, but had something similar to what you're experiencing. I hope it doesn't come back!

Lulu- I hope this next week flies by!! I am going to take a guess and say GIRL

SS- I just ordered some fakey bellabands from this ebay seller as I'm starting to have issues with fitting into my pants. They arrived super-fast and the quality is great!

HH- great BB tip! My hips are certainly not on the small side, but may have to try it.

Burk- We're keeping the gender a SECRET. It's driving me nuts, but I resolve to stay strong! Here's hoping that you LO stays put until daddy is back.

Mara- start baking, woman!

Welcome, firstbaby

Hiya vesper, RPS, MP, JCrow, QT & MT

ETA- WELCOME to the world, Baby Evan! Congrats to Steph and family!!!

Yay, Steph! Congratulations! I can''t wait to see a pic of the little guy.

Congrats Steph! Welcome Evan!

welcome baby evan

love his name steph!!

charger - does keeping the gender a secret mean that you know and aren''t telling or that you don''t know either? Before getting pregnant, I thought that I''d want to keep it a surprise, but to my surprise I don''t. at all
3.gif

congrats steph!!! welcome baby evan!

first baby - welcome!

mara - ditto on the aww nuts...i was sure you were doing the ole heave ho
3.gif

lindsey - sory for the disappointing news
8.gif
tons of healthy baby dust headed your way.

charger - glad to hear everything is progressing as it should!

qt - i feel ya. i''ve been extra vigilant about being more active. i''ve still got a lot of nesting to do before so there is no shortage of physical activity to do
5.gif

cdt/rps/mrssalvo/radiant - thanks for the encouraging words...you guys give me hope!

i took a couple of days off this week because 1) i''m tired of working
3.gif
and 2) the nesting urge is going insane knowing i''ve got stuff i need to do at home
37.gif
so today the belly has intermittently been balling up real tight and sticking out and the nugget gets real still. then i get all worried that he''s ok so i sit still and eventually he starts his usual antics again. any chance this may be braxton hicks? there is absolutely no pain and barely any discomfort. i only notice it if i''m pausing in what i''m doing and note that i hadn''t felt him move in a little while. am i reading to much into this? i swear that 37 week scan is making me into a worry wart!

steph - yay!!! congratulations
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
hope you both are doing well and i can''t wait to see pics!

Steph- Congrats and welcome to the world Evan!!!!
36.gif

Ginger- I got that a lot in my last few weeks. I think it''s BH, but not sure. Regardless, it wasn''t labor for me (O was really late). It seemed to happen to me when I was really active though and not as much when I was resting.

Yay Steph!!!!! and welcome to the world baby Evan!

Congrats Steph and Welcome Evan. Can''t wait to see pics of your little man.

Ginger
Good for you for taking some days off. You need it. Have fun nesting.

I went for another long walk today. I was getting pretty good cramps and contractions during the walk, but nothing much afterward. I am getting contractions here and there, but no pain. I was talking to DH earlier, and he said maybe the baby is really punctual. I just had to laugh.

Congrats Steph! Welcome baby Evan! Can''t wait to see pictures!
