Yes I will do that too eventually. I am done buying very larger (over 1ct) natural diamonds. I still prefer natural antique diamonds for most pieces I have in mind to collect (five stone, earrings, pendant) but those will all be smaller stones either in cluster or accents for coloured stones. But I would like a 3ct some day and it will be a lab stone! Just waiting for the prices to bottom out lol
OP I really think you should get the best you can with the money you have spent in a natural diamond, either oval or round, and wear it and love it for what it is. Then scratch the itch for HUGE with a lab when funds allow.

I know it’s painful. So many of us made costly mistakes before we found PS. I think these ovals people identified for you are really promising and you can still end up with a diamond you love. And you can put this saga behind you.
I guess the fantasy is a natural diamond 3.5ct very very tinted old mine cushion. If I get a lab I’m not sure. I have a lot of other things higher on my list right now!
Any of these good round diamonds? The corporate specialist finally returned the call she’s going to work on pulling that I diamond but the H is no longer available.
I would like to also order a round diamond in case the oval doesn’t work I can just get the round brilliant turn it into a necklace and get a lab e ring from adiamor or Whiteflash. (I’m loving adiamor as it matches what all my inspos)
It’s just so much more convenient since it’s an hour there and back without traffic. I don’t have family or sitter.

OK I’m looking for the biggest you can get in budget with a nice cut. Not necessarily perfection. You will see them in person so it would be easy to decide what you like.

This one has a nice cut and its big and white at 2.24ct and H color. It is an SI2, but it has basically the best inclusions you can ask for, twinning whisps. I bet its eye clean. Even on magnification it looks pretty good to me. I get that you might not want an SI2. I think big sparkly and white is most important.
^^2.01 H Si2. This one is very clean for an SI2! Smaller than the first but so clean. I like it a lot.

I am a little obsessed with this weirdo. Proportions are unconventional but it would likely be super fiery. Love the fat arrows and high crown. It actually reminds me a little of my own early ideal cut. I suspect it might be eye clean even though the inclusions look nasty under magnification. And it’s huge. I don’t mind J color, my diamond is a KL. 2.5ct!!
