I just wanna say -- the random comments thread

After a LOT of soul searching, career tests, lengthy discussions with everyone both online and off, more soul-searching, questioning, analysing, lots of hard work...not to mention the years of busting my butt in college...well you get the picture...

...followed by a lengthy, in-depth application, and three gruelling rounds of interviews...

!!!! I JUST GOT OFFERED MY DREAM JOB !!!!

I had my final interview yesterday, and they called me this morning. I have been doing the happy dance all day.

Many of you here were so kind and helpful on both (yes I wrote two) of my career advice-seeking threads. The advice and experiences on here are always so valuable. So THANK YOU ALL, it was all worth it, I am on cloud nine!!

So I sold a purse on ebay and the buyer didn't like it and sent me a big, mean email with all kinds of threats to turn me into dispute resolution, etc. I have 100% positives, and of COURSE I told her she could send it back and get a refund. I guess my DD's pics weren't so good at showing little worn areas or whatever, and I described it accurately as used for three months, etc.

Point is, she could have just said it nicely, she didn't have to come on so mean. I would have said it was ok to return it without the mean..

Bet that now she thinks it was her meaness that worked rather than my niceness . . .

I am sorry, ILander. I sold only 5 items but one guy harassed me over $ 3.00 so I gave it to him... I think these are professional harassers who get a lot of items free. Any way to deal with them? I just keep all the messages from my harasser. I want to forward all of them to ebay center... if there are three or four people who have done so already it may work. But I have not sold much and do not plan to, so in a way, I do not care about my ratings... you may take it more seriously. What do people do in these cases?

Many of of love September, it brings on a new school year, new seasons. I used to be one of them. I celebrate 25 years on 9/13. But today 9/3 it's been 18 years that I lost my dear brother..

And 9/11.. My loss of my dear friends hasn't gotten easier.. I heard the 9/11 calls last year for the first time... I was in such agony after hearing that, my brain really couldn't handle it. And then on 9/12 I was diagnosed with my neurological disorder.

On 9/11 it was our 15th wedding anniversary. We did nothing but got the kid their fave chinese food, and just were there for them,..

My dog died July 12th, he was 17 years old.

I am not in a mood to celebrate much...

And that cat who adopted us?? August 12th,,,

One month to the day that casper died?

Belongs to my neighbor. I said I asked you if you had a cat, she said I didn't.. Her cat was gone for a long time.. She went to the troulble of having he declawed which is just mean if you ask me..
She said Oh I am so happy you have her, she's going to do so well with you.. I said no... I can't keep her, and she is YOUR cat..

I said well I was to go to Nantucket but got sick, this cat was on my door, so Boarded her, and got her tested, all shots and had her micro chipped. She said you did all that??? I said what the heck was I to do..

I am dropping off ( my sweet Sadie ) to her on Tuesday.


I know it will be a matter of days that Sadie makes her way back to me.. She wasn't taken care of. But I just can't have her here with 3 people that are allergic. If kids and husband are gone, yes, she can come in and that's what I did during the hurricane. She was living the life.. And gave me such pleasure too.. I had cats growing up, and my Sadie, was so playful and thankful to be here.. I have a feeling I will get this worked out, I can't belive she didn't search for her.. And let her out to be defenseless.. Gah...

I too have had a simply horrid year, but when I read your post it made me realise we all have our problems. Yours seem so many and so difficult to shoulder by yourself.

I certainly do have pics, hundreds of them, I'll try to pic the best for PS and I'll start a thread in the next few days.

As a side note, I made a photobook of my trip with iPhoto and just received it last week - I think there are loads of different companies that offer it, but it turned out great and I LOVE it! Definitely doing it for future photo-heavy trips and events, it's a great keepsake.
