I vote for the 1.45 I VS2.
Hey everyone,
I've decided on the following ring.
Lebow: Vintage-inspired Round Diamond engagement ring in Rose Gold | Ken & Dana
A brilliant conflict-free round brilliant cut diamond sits atop the band and in this design its guarded by four handcrafted leaf like prongs - a subtle tip of the hat to nature and the circle of life. We then sprinkled some diamonds along the ring's gallery to give it extra sparkle and a...shop.kenanddanadesign.com
As for the diamond, I am undecided between the two. The first diamond being a 1.34 H and the second being 1.45 I. Again, the ring will be rose gold. Looking for recommendations/opinions. I've heard about DSS so I am assuming I shouldn't worry about the 1.45 making the ring look too big on her?

Why is that?
Why is that?
I don't mind body color and I like the bigger one. But, you can't go wrong with either.
Since you will be having this set by another vendor, make sure you have insurance in place to cover the stone in shipment and when being set.
They are both ACA's so both are ideally cut stones, but I'm the dissenter here. I would buy the H based on color. The I has more noticeable tint and the tint is yellow. Make sure you know how a yellow tinted diamond will look in rose gold. I would put a higher color stone (the H) in rose. If you were setting in yellow gold, the I would be my choice. But I'd be more careful about putting a diamond with noticeable yellow tint in a rose gold setting. Just my opinion.
Also, the setting is expensive and you could go custom with someone like DKJ and have a very similar ring designed for less.
I've always heard I color and even K in rose gold will not be noticeable due to the color of the ring.

I wanted to repost @Lookinagain because I think this is a great point. While the two settings you posted are pretty I hesitate to justify the price. Especially since I cannot find where they list the quality of diamonds in their settings.
While I have not personally had anything made by David Klass many PSers rave about his quality and value. I think it might be worth it to reach out.

PS Glad you put the diamond on hold with WF. Really can’t go wrong there.
The price of the ring without the center stone avg around $2,500 so it isn't incredibly expensive. At this point, the price of the ring isn't a concern unless it starts to exceed $3,500. I've looked at so many rings I'm willing to pay more for a design which meets the mark. As for the floral engagement ring, while I do see how it could match her style, I want to avoid a flower type halo.
I know this might complicate things more, but since you mentioned that you were willing to go a bit higher for the right ring, you might look at CvB design inspiration. There are 2 options I thought that might appeal to you there: this one:

or perhaps this one:

I would just point out with the last one that the lower chevron line of diamonds is a band that would work with either ring, and she has a couple of other options that do as well that get a bit more organic. The appealing thing to me about this as on an option is that with 2 bands, you can get a very halo-feeling floral design in a more simple ring. Just thought that flexibility might appeal. And of course, since these are all custom, you can have them done in rose gold, and your classic round diamond is no problem.
All that said, the DKJ ring @WDWDiamond posted is also to die for.

I’m no expert but I like the I color diamond more just because I see striations with the H one. It depends on your SO though. I don’t mind color as much as I do inclusions and graining. I know it’ll be eye clean at a normal viewing distance probably. Just boils down to personal preference. Color vs size and types of inclusion.
Striations or girdle reflection? I can't definitively tell.
Both diamonds are beautiful! I would advise that you put the I also on hold (I hope the hold on H is by you!!) and then ask WF to make a comparison video of the two together so you can compare size and colour. Personally, I would go with the I - I am not colour sensitive, it is a gorgeous stone, and it’s a bit bigger than the H.
I personally wouldn’t do a halo if I had to glove up everyday. I like option 2 of the two you’ve downselected, but it is a bit high off the finger - maybe they could make a custom version?
I just wanted to share. A ring that immediately came to mind is this one from Maytal: it’s low, I think it’s totally her style, and you could have the stones on the band made to be “bright cut”, meaning adding this little rails with tiny milgrain or leave as is. It’s low set, and will be very sturdy for how delicate it is because it’s hand forged
These are so pretty, but for someone that will be pulling gloves on and off, I'd avoid a lot of prongs. It can rip the gloves, but it also pull the prongs and then the stones fall out. Something like this but bezel set would be sturdier.
