Men!
We''re going to DC over memorial day weekend.
Hey HH, I see that you will be in my neck of the woods. If you guys decide you would like to emerge from your room for food, etc, let me know and I would by happy to give you some recs for great restaurants or things to do![]()
Oh thanks hun! I''d love a recommendation for a nice place for dinner. We''re staying on Cap Hill so somewhere near the metro would be ideal. We''re doing dinner one night already in Alexandria.
I pretty much grew up in DC so I''m well versed in fun touristy things to do. DH has only ever been for business and has never so much as visited a monument so we''re going more for him.

- Georgia Brown''s (Upscale Southern cuisine); off the Farragut West Metro (also does a great Sunday brunch)
- Acadiana (Creole); Off Convention Center Metro
- Il Mulino (Italian); McPherson Metro (kinda pricey, but really tasty)
- Fogo de Chao (Super nice Brazilian steak house); off the Federal Triangle Metro (btw, this is my hubby''s fav)
- TehnPen (Asian); off the Federal Triangle Metro
- Oceannaire (Seafood); off Metro Center Stop
- Zengo (Asian and Latin American Fusion); off Gallery Place Metro (very different but delicious cuisine)
- Rosa Mexicana (Mexican); off Gallery Place Metro
and last but not least, should the mood strike you for yummy, greasy food:
- Good Stuff Eatery; off Capitol South metro - Super yummy burgers, fried and milkshakes (owned by Spike from the Top Chef)
And pretty much all of these (save Fogo) are on OpenTable.com, and I would recommend getting a reservation now b/c Memorial Day is always busy. Good luck
