The great thing is that except for the Demetrios Couture dress they are all under $599!

I haven''t tried any of them on yet but I will very soon and hopefully I will have pictures to make my final decisions. The big thing right now is narrowing down a date!

lmurden- I love the davids bridal dress and the last jessica mclintock you posted. I sometimes wish that that davids bridal dress had been there when I went there before I picked my dress, because its so similar to mine, but WAY cheaper! I mean I love my dress, but that one is sooo pretty too!

I like the David''s Bridal dress you posted the best...

I knowwwwwwwwwww. $2750 or $399! I can''t believe the difference.
Anyway, you made the right choice! You''ve got the real deal and it''s YOUR BIG DAY!

lmurden-

I didn''t end up getting Hallie. :) Mine is by Symphony.. and its about $800.. which is still WAAAAAYYYY cheaper than the Melissa Sweet...but significantly more than Davids..

The only part I like about my dress better than the Davids dress is that it has the sheer train, which the Davids dress doesn''t have.... And since that is my fave part of my dress.. it is definitely the right choice.

I''m glad that you are happy with the choice that you made that is what is most important. Also $400 is not worth feeling guilty over because if you look beautiful who cares!

By the way I went to David''s Bridal yesterday and tried on the dress and it looked amazing. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to try on the Jessica McClintock dressses and post the pictures on Monday.

Hey

I thought that I would add a picture of my gown that I just ordered. Unfortunately, I can''t find any better pics of the dress. It''s a dress by Henry Roth. I had loved a Mikaella dress, but after putting this one on, the Mikaella just didn''t compare!

This was the Mikaella dress:

HI:

Stretch4--gorgeous dress! Fab choice!!

With all the unreal dresses posted here, how on earth can one decide!!!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Stretch, I LOVE that Mikaella dress too! I definitely have it torn out and in my little wedding notebook. :) But the one you ordered is gorgeous!!!! I like it just as much, if not more, than the Mikaella.

Actually, I guess I don''t really need all the torn out pages in my little notebook anymore...b/c I bought a dress today!!! My mom and I hit a couple shops today just for fun (my wedding is still about 22 months away, so no need to get in a hurry yet), and I tried on this dress, and it was on SALE for HALF OFF THE ORIGINAL PRICE.....

AND it was FABULOUS. Sooo pretty, looks waaaay more expensive than it was (it''s ridiculous...it came to $162.50 plus tax!!! isn''t that nuts?!?!) It''s a discontinued Jessica McClintock...I can''t find it anywhere online. It''s kinda similar to MelissaSue''s gorgeous dress...a strapless satin sheath with a sheer lace overlay, and the lace extends down into a sweep train in the back. The lace kinda has 2 layers of scalloping (is that a word?) at the bottom...one is at the very bottom hem of the dress, and the next is about a foot above that one. It''s very pretty, very girly, and very classic. And SUPER comfortable, too. I''m in love!
30.gif
It''s a little bit too big, but will easily be altered down to fit.

I have a ton of pics, but no way to get them on here until next Thursday (I''m at my parents'' house without a cord to transfer pics onto the ''puter). As soon as I can I''ll post the pics on here! Ahhh, I''m so excited!!!

stretch- your dress is so pretty!!!!

And Tybee: I also tried on and really liked that little lace tea-length number from David''s. I have a TON of pics of myself in it because my mom really liked it too, hehehe. We''re having a garden wedding, around 10-11 in the morning, so we thought that dress would be super cute and appropriate! Except I''m jealous...your boobs look much better in it than mine did! HAHAHA!

HouMedGal-
You''ve got me giggling like crazy!
thanks for the compliments.
Congratulations on finding a dress you love
for a super price!
Dying for pictures!!

HouMedGal!!! Eeeeeeek! Exciting!!!! I can''t wait to see pics!!!!! Where did you go shopping?

Isn''t it funny how we keep making these huge wedding steps at around the same time?

houmedgirl - oooh. I can''t wait to see your pictures! Not til NEXT thursday? Have someone mail you the cord! LOL! I may have to scour the internet for you in the meantime!

Hahaha, I''m glad I could make you smile, Tybee! :)

Ginger, did you buy a dress too?!??!?! How did I miss this???? Which one did you go with? Ahh, I''m so excited, they were all soooo beautiful on you...I can''t wait to hear what the verdict was!!!

MelissaSue, if anyone could find it on the net, it would be you!!! You are SUCH the internet goddess. :) Seriously, I was reading back through this thread from the beginning, and I couldn''t believe how many times someone mentioned a dress, and then there you were, with a great pic of it!!! You rawk. :)

I did manage to find one pic on the net (it''s not that great at all, can''t see any detail or anything), and I found out a little more info about the dress. It''s from Jessica McClintock''s 2002 bridal line, and the name of it is Isadora, style number 22209. The place I found a pic is this page: http://www.irishweddingsonline.com/IrishWeddingsinIreland27.html If you go there, scroll down and you''ll see the dress, which says "Jessica McClintock. Style 22209" below it.

It''s really not a good picture, doesn''t do the dress justice at all. You''ll see that the dress comes with a little shoulder shrug jacket, and mine did come with the jacket, but I really like it better without. Especially since my wedding''s in spring and not in the fall...I might have worn the jacket if I had a fall/winter wedding!

Anyway, I''ll definitely get some pics up of ME in it the dress, with much better shots of the details in the lace, on Thursday night or Friday.

MelissaSue, feel free to see if you can find anything on the net with better pics! (if you have time and want to, of course!!!) You are much better at scouring theknot.com than I am!

Oh, I just read what you wrote again, Melissa...no, not NEXT Thursday, the Thursday that''s in 2 days, hehehe. So you won''t have to wait too terribly long! Although I understand all too well how long a couple days is when it''s something we''re all at least moderately obsessed with (rings, dresses, anything to do with weddings, hehehe)

One more message....I also found out today at a Jessica McClintock boutique that back in 2002 when my dress was brand new it retailed for something like $538!!! So I got it for around 25% of the original price.

Oh, it''s beautiful!
I can''t wait to see it on you
36.gif

Sorry- didn''t have any luck finding it. But it looks beautiful from the pic you posted.. someone really should have told their photographers that its a dumb idea to photograph WHITE WEDDING DRESSES ON A WHITE BACKGROUND! Only two more days til you can post your pics though! can''t wait!

No kidding! How the heck are you supposed to see what the dress looks like when it completely blends in?!?!

I can''t wait to post the pics!!!! EEE!!!

Stretch,
your dress is just gorgeous!! I can''t wait to see pics of you in it...it looks so lovely in that photo.

Hey Houmedgal, I think I found some pics of your dress, including the one that you gave the link to. The style also has the name Isadora? That''s how I found it. These photos are also not great (more white background), but gives some more ideas...can''t wait to see it on you!!
