now i wish u would have found about this sooner! heheheh

These threads move so fast I can''t keep up!

First, all the Halloween babies were adorable!

Tacori Sounds like the bday party was a big hit. Great cupcakes! Congrats on the one year checkup. Sounds like Tessa is doing just perfect. My son is a social creature as well...He''s just a people magnet. I used to hate the shots part! Luckily she won''t remember!

Burk What a cutie pie! Such a big girl!

QT Sorry about the nursing strike. Are you using any new soaps or lotions that she might not like or eating anything different that might make your milk taste different?
Happy anniversary! Enjoy your date!

Gemma12 Congratulations! I love the name! I can''t wait to see her pics!
36.gif

MrsM Yay for sleep!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
Sounds like $ well spent!

I am so behind!

MrsM, that is GREAT about the stroller. Hope you are getting to relax some! Must be comfortable for her.

Q, I think because she is SO little people get curious when they see her walking! T went on a nursing strike too at 6.5 months so I weened. She is stubborn and I learned quickly I could not get her to do something she didn''t want. So she is a bottle/formula girl now. Happy anniversary!

Lili, I agree...people loved it. We saw triplets and a pair of twins in the waiting room (different families). Poor parents!

Gemma, congrats mommy! Phillippa is a little thing. How adorable! Can''t wait to hear all the details and see pictures. Take care.

msb, thanks! glad he is chewing better! T loves puffs too! I think all babies/toddlers do. So funny.

Puffy, NO! We still have cupcakes. I will probably throw them out
7.gif
If I had to do 100 I would buy them too (of course we ended up doing 72
20.gif
) I bet B and T would have fun together!

Bobo, thanks! Love the new AV.

iluv, it was a hit (but I am glad it is over!) T is doing well. I was worried b/c she pulls on her ears but the doc said it is part of teething plus could be a habit like when she is tired. Also he said not to worry about the bottle until 15 months
36.gif
He was also impressed by her vocab. She is a talker I guess.

Why "poor parents"??

Congrats, Gemma!! This thread is great and will certainly help you through those first few days/weeks/months
9.gif
. Can''t wait to see photos of Phillippa!

msb, glad to hear K is doing so much better with food (and glad you found Puffs! Worth the international search for them? ;) ) - that''s got to be such a relief for you and probably makes him happier too.

MrsMitchell, too funny about buying the stroller! Whatever works! I *adore* our Bob jogging stroller (though I''m not a jogger. At all.) and think it''s worth every single penny.

OK, gotta go get Gabe off the coffee table ...

(PS - I feel so bad like I''m ignoring all my old friends here
7.gif
)

mrsm~YAY!! Whatever works! Naps are a good thing for mom and baby!!

Tacori~Sounds like Tessa is doing fabulous!

QT~I agree with the others, not eating could be a teething thing. Too bad babies can''t tell you what''s wrong!
2.gif
9.gif
Happy anniversary!

Gemma~Congrats!!!
36.gif

puffy~T is doing alright. Her nose is running like crazy (I think she''s STILL working on the top two teeth) but she''s still in great spirits. B sounds like a social little guy. So is Tayva. She absolutely loves being around people. Time just flies. What''s B''s birthday?

Bobo~Cute avatar! You always have the cutest pics in your avatar!

iluvcarats~Thanks! She is getting so big. It''s fun, but a little sad at the same time. Most people think she''s at least a year (she''s only 9 months) I think because she''s so tall.

35.gif
Ella! G and K must be keeping you plenty busy!! Exciting that you got their party booked! Can you believe they''re both going to be one and walking around in no time?

Well, my volleyball season is officially over. It''s a little bittersweet because I absolutely adore my volleyball players. I was lucky to have such a great group of kids but on the other hand it''ll be so much more time to spend with Tayva... so excited that I get to pick her up today at 3:00!!!
36.gif

WOW! Just wow. Sorry to keep going on about this, but Amelia napped again! That''s 3 times today and twice yesterday. She wakes up all happy and sunny, my poor girl was tired! Not as tired as her parents. She is no longer 100% fully sleep resistant. I could kiss whoever invented the City baby jogger. Anyone want a gently used Bugaboo? I can promise it has never been slept in...
39.gif

Msb, I was going to get a pic for you, but it was such a rare treat to see Ame asleep during the day, we actually celebrated with a whole-family nap.
9.gif
If she does it again tomorrow, I''ll be there with the camera!

Tacori, Tessa is such a sweet, petite little girly! We have the opposite- people assume Amelia is much older. She''s 75 percentile for height and 40th for weight, so her proportions are more toddler than baby, plus she has a lot of hair. I have to stop well meaning strangers from giving her candy!! She''s still BFing, with a little baby rice / veg puree in the evening, so I don''t think she can cope with chocoate bars. It''s kindly meant, but a bit alarming. I would never give cady to someone else''s child, I''m surprised anyone does!

Bobo, Little B in that hat is just about the cutest thing ever!

Jen

Ella, I felt to bad...we ran into the triplets by the scale (to weigh T) and they were SO upset from their shots. The mom was trying to distract them by asking them what they were going to get at McD''s for lunch but they were so upset it wasn''t really working. It is hard watching ONE child getting shots I cannot imagine handling multiples. Plus she was alone at the appointment. You are an awesome mom and I cannot imagine having multiples (at any number).

Burk, yay that now you get to spend more time with T!!!

MrsM, how strange! I would be pissed if some stranger was giving my daughter ANYTHING let alone CANDY! T still hasn''t had any candy. I am in no rush. Ame is so cute. She looks just like you BTW. I am so glad you found something that works for you! Worth every penny I''m sure!!!

Hey Jas,

I think I remember you saying you were planning to use cloth diapers with your baby. How has that worked out? Are the fuzzy bunz good? Did you switch to another type? Do you put your baby in daycare? Do they use cloth diapers there, too? Just curious, as cloth diapers is something we have been seriously considering.

MrsM, the jogger sounds awesome. wish I thought about this when little B was younger and won''t nap. maybe next one. Thanks for the compliment on little B. His cheeks really shows when he wear hats.

thanks Tacori. I agree with you, I was thinking about Ella this morning when little B was taking his bottle. How does she feed two babies at once. I applaud parents with multiples babies.

Thanks Burk, I love it when other mommie''s change their avatar. It''s another way watching the PS babies grow. Glad you get to spend more time with Tayva.

Mrsm~That''s so great that the jog stroller continues to work it''s magic! Everyone thinks T is older than she is too so I can totally relate.

Tacori~I''m really excited that I''ll get an extra couple hours a night with her. I, too, cannot imagine watching 2 or 3 babies get shots.
7.gif
It''s hard enough just watching one.

Tgal!!! Where are you?!?! I have been obsessed with getting my Coach diaper bag and I''m blaming it on you!
3.gif
When you told us about that bag you wanted I started thinking I deserve a different diaper bag too!
3.gif

I can''t tell anyone IRL so I have to let it out here: I''m two weeks late!! I keep rationalizing and thinking there''s such a slim chance I could be preggo but who knows....I think I''ll stop and grab a test to put my mind at ease tonight.

Burk, we must have been posting at the same time...OMG! I''m so excited for you already...

Bobo~Thanks! If I was it would be a total fluke. We were/are not planning on starting to "try" until February.

maybe baby #2 have his/her own plan.
9.gif

Gemma!!!
I was looking at the Preggos In Waiting and thought to myself that Gemma should be next.
Little did I know that you already went and have your little girl in your arms!
Congrats and welcome to Phillippa Joy!
She''s a teeny little thing
5.gif

Can''t wait to see pictures of her and hear your birth story!
Rest up and see you soon.

Maybe! I haven''t even told my husband...
23.gif

msb
Ouch! I didn''t know that they will inject him at once on each arm.
Poor baby....and poor mommy having to witness that.
That''s great that he''s progressing with his food.
And those puffs are pretty tasty if I might say so myself.
It''s no wonder the toddlers go crazy over them
5.gif

puffy
Wow, that''s going to be a big party for little B.
Hehe, it''s about the same size as my wedding :P
So is there a theme for his party?

Aweee...that''s so sweet of you and your friend to say. Thank you so much.
And I don''t mind you showing her the picture. Besides, I did post it in a public forum.

Bobo
Teehee, just have to tell you that little B is tooo cute with that hat.
Good luck at the 9-month appt.
Should be an easier one since he doesn''t need to get his booster shots
36.gif
36.gif

MrsM
That''s great news!
Now you got me thinking that maybe I should go and invest in one of those city jogger.
5.gif

Ella
Go get Gabe off the coffee table??
Is Gabe getting to be like lil MsK?
I thought you would be getting lil K off instead?
Wow, can''t believe they are climbing that high already.
They should really enjoy their b-day at the Gymboree then :)

Burk
Tayva is a tall girl.
She was probably taller than most 1 yr when she was 6-months huh?
Yay for getting the extra time with her today.

OMG....could you be following Curly''s footstep? :)
Keep us posted.

Congratulations, Gemma!!

Just another quick drive by from me!

Gemma, congratulations on Phillippa!! Can''t wait to hear all about it and see photos.

msb, good to see you!!! I know about being busy so don''t worry about it. Hope K is doing well.

jas12, welcome back. Hope everything was just perfect! Looking forward to seeing photos.

TGal, I can''t believe Amelia is sitting up already. I feel like she was just born. These baby days go by soooo quickly.

ellaila, good to see you too!!! The twins looked so adorable on Halloween and in the pumpkin patch. I can''t believe how quickly they''re growing. How crazy that you''re planning their 1st bday party. Again, I remember when they were born like it was yesterday.

snlee, sounds like D is doing great. Isn''t it funny when they start holding up their heads?! We call Lucy ET when she does it because finally we can see that she has a neck!!!

Bobo, love B''s photo in your avatar. He is just such a cutie!!

puffy, one is right around the corner for you too!! I don''t know if you mentioned it already but are you doing a theme party?

lili, J is just sooo pretty. I love seeing photos of her!

Mrs M, do what you have to do to get her to sleep!!! Whenever I need a break (my little one really likes cat naps instead of the loooong naps), I throw her in the stroller and we go for a long walk. She passes out instantly, it''s great!! I often leave her in it even after we get home and then I forget that she''s in there! Enjoy it!!!

Burk, are you joining my club?!? Take a test!!!! I''m so excited for you. Hurry up, sister!!!!

Tacori, Tessa is doing so great! I love that she''s such a big flirt too!!! She and Lily would be such a trip together.

qtiekiki, how did your date night go? Did Meena cooperate with MIL?? Happy anniversary!

In my news, Lily had her 18 month appointment today.
6.gif
She weighs 25 lbs 12oz and is 33 inches tall!!!! The pedi was pleased with her progress, especially all of her words. She came home on Tuesday and said "vote"!! She also says her name now among a billion other things! Anyway, even after getting 2 shots, she high fived the doctor so I think the doc was impressed!!!
2.gif
Here''s a funny photo of her. She looks like she''s laying an egg--she is such a ham!! She says "cheese" now when she sees a camera!

lilypumpkin.JPG

Lili~Yea, she probably was as long as a lot of 1-year olds at 6 months (she was 28 1/2 inches). She was 30 inches at her 9 mo. I just may be following in curly's footsteps.....

curly~PLEASE tell me that two under the age of two is easy!
3.gif
That picture of Lily makes my heart melt. She's getting so big!

Hey, where''s the one with her halloween costume?
41.gif

Lily is such a pretty little girl.
Wow, you can see she''s grown so much since the picture you have of her in your avi.

Burk, it''s not easy but it''s great!!! I love having 2 girls and I''m glad we "got it over with" before we get too old!! Plus, it''s all still fresh in our minds which makes the 2nd time around much easier. I''ll give you all the real scoop, don''t worry!!

lili, this one is for you!!! I have to find some better ones but this is the best for now...

lilylion.JPG

burk B''s almost one...december 7, 3 days after DH''s bday. haha. poor T. i hope she gets better from the runny nose soon, or her top teeth come in. poor girl. OMG!!!! that is so exciting for you! i know you wanted another, or wanted to TTC, but not for awhile. you have to let us know ASAP!! i am excited for you for sure
6.gif

tacori my gosh, you have not finished the cuppies? i have already pretty much made up my mind on which flavors *i* want to order. i bet T is just a blast to be around.

curly awwww, lily is sooooo pretty!! and she is getting big. no real theme to the party, just kinda going with the flow.

lili it''s going to be a crazy day. we have a party with kids at the little gym then hopefully he will cooperate and take an afternoon nap while i go get stuff ready for the dinner party, and pick up cupcakes and stuff. then have the dinner party, come home, put him to bed and we leave at 8 am the next morning for hawaii. i''m going nuts just thinking about it.

mrsm YAY for naps!!! the stroller must be working and i am sure it is worth every penny now that you can have a few moments to yourself.

qt sad to say, but disneyland is more for me than B. i was so used to going at least once a year and i just couldn''t not go, so i told DH it would be great to take him for the start of the winter festivities. and we''ll most likely make it a once a year thing for B too, until he gets older then we''ll do disney world. now that you have a little girl, your DH has to like disneyland!!

bobo i keep meaning to tell you that little B is CUTE!! i love that new pic!

msb, glad you found some time to check in!

QT, happy anniversary! Hope you had a wonderful date night. I hope the nursing strike ends soon too!

MrsM, Yay for Amelia sleeping!

Burk, that's great you get to spend more time with T! My heart just skipped a beat reading that you're late. How exciting! Keep us posted!

TGal, I blame you for starting my interest in diaper bags too!
3.gif
I was fine until you talked about it. I was thinking of getting a Fleurville bag if it ever appeared on mamabargains again. But then yesterday my boss gave me a Skip Hop Duo diaper bag (I think he's trying bribe me to come back early! jk!) so now I guess I won't buy one. Orange is not my color but after seeing it I'm starting to like it. I need some color in my life and it's bright so people can see me when I cross the street!
3.gif

curly, Sound like Lily is doing great! She's so cute! LOL about the neck. It's funny how their neck always disappears under that double chin. Have you gotten real smiles from Lucy yet? I'm still waiting. I can't believe our babies are 6 weeks old tomorrow!

D was fussy from 8-11 this morning. It was so frustrating and I was on the verge of tears. I hate when nothing I do calms him down! Then he peed all over himself when I changed him (does it ever stop?) and had a huge spit up after I nursed him. I've had my hands full today! The weekend cannot come soon enough!

Hi gang. finally getting the opportunity to sit down and catch up. Where has the week gone...

Gemma--congrats!!!! Can''t wait for the pics

Snlee--the peeing all over does stop. I got peed on at least once a day for the first month or two but i haven''t been hit in months now. The fussiness also subsides (only to be replaced by whining) but hang in. It only gets better, i promise :-)

Burk--i always forget that T is still well under a year. She looks so mature-such a beauty.
And oh, did i miss something? You might be preggy? Keep us posted!!!!

Ella--i giggled when i read that you had to go to rescue G off the table. I can''t believe they are climbing the furniture. Double Trouble and too cute for words.

Tgal--yay for Amelia sitting. I think Co is getting the hang of it but his gross motor skills are not his strong suit. Isn''t 7 months so fun. Personality explosion. I am enjoying the last weeks of limited mobility b/c i know i''ll be needing to baby proof everything really soon.

Lili-speaking of baby proofing, obviously you had to do that a long time ago. I keep going back to look at that pic of J scurrying away in her cat suit. Honestly, she is just stunning. Her black hair, dark eyes and that black costume was as Tgal put it,"baby chic"
9.gif
. Whenever i show Charlie pics of her he says "are you sure she is the same age as Cohen?!

Tacori--sounds like Tessa is doing great. I can just imagine how entertaining watching her little body walk about must be.

Puffy--best of luck with the party. I am jealous that you get to go to disney land every year. I am not really an adult disney fan in general but going there is one of my fondest memories as a kid and i can''t wait to bring my kids some day.

Curly--ahhh, look at lili, She is getting so big and so pretty!

Qt--happy 3rd anni!! How is the nursing going? Is M back into it?

Jen--yep, we want pics of the girls. I know you are SO busy so we won''t hold it against you (but we reaallly want them
2.gif

Msb--glad K is eating more/better. Seems like puffs are a hit with lots of kids. Very cute that he knows where they are stashed

bobo--how did the appnt go? Is B back to is old self yet?

MrsM--so funny that you had to buy a jogging stroller for A. What ever works right? I hope she continues napping for you. Makes life SO much easier. Dont'' toss the bugaboo just yet. I nearly kissed mine when i returned from europe. That thing goes anywhere (cobble stone streets, beach, narrow aisles, fits under tables etc.) I am so happy i brought it. I do however intend to get a jogger as well for active stuff (maybe the BOB since everyone likes it so much) so i think if u can afford it, both are great to have for different outings.

Thanks snlee, neatfreak, msb700, puffy, Bobo, MrsM, Tacori, ellaila, Burk, lili, jen, curly, and Jas12!

Burk, how exciting! Can't wait to hear if you really are pg!!

Curly, super cute pics of Lily-love the lion costume!

Tacori and Diver, a very late congrats on your little ones' first birthdays! Time flies...! (Although the first few days probably felt as long for you as they have for me!)

Sorry for the driveby-typing one handed and will have to come back!

I will post a birth story soon but here is a day one photo to start off-I can't believe she is nearly a week old!

ETA: whoa! That is huge. Sorry everyone...

GPJday1a.jpg

Hi everyone! Just a drive-by because I have waaaaaay too much homework, but wanted to share a pic of my little peanut supporting our new president.

Front says: Obama is my homeboy

CIMG1808.jpg

Back: Time for a change...

CIMG1811.jpg

curly, you're little girls are precious and I'm sure they're going to be so close as they grow up.

puffy~So you have two December birthdays coming up. I'm sure your DH knows his is pretty much worthless in comparison to B turing 1!
2.gif
9.gif

snlee~Sorry for the rough day. Hopefully tomorrow will be easy to make up for it.

jas12~Thanks! I had some pics of when she was around 6 months on my desk and my substitute teacher wrote me a note saying she has a daughter who is 10 months and that they look to be around the same age. It's always been that way. Big girl. Good to have you back around here! How is Co adjusting to being back home? Change in routine always makes T weird.

Gemma~What a sweet little girl you have there!!! how is everything going?

misspinky~Cute shirt! Good luck with all your homework.

Thanks everyone for all the pg well wishes!! It's nice having support since I don't dare tell anyone IRL (especially my DH!!) I think AF is about to make an appearance (super crampy) so I didn't buy a test. I *knew* I was preggo last time and I don't really get that feeling this time. I'm just so confused as to why I'm SO late.....aint it beautiful being a woman!?!?!!
2.gif
Good nite mommies!

misspinky that onesie is hilarious!

Ella, I tell you - all these 1st birthdays are CRAZEEEE...I remember when Delaney was born. Can''t wait to see parties of the G&K fiesta!

Bobo, OK, I almost posted last night because I felt I had to comment but decided to wait until I could post replies to everyone else: I have to say I LOVE the new pic of little B. That kid is so delicious, he''s edible!
30.gif

Tacori - "Tessa Drama"...Hahaha, it has a ring to it! BTW, your cupcakes were awesome..forgot to compliment you on those.

Puffy, isn''t big time party planning nuts? So much work, and the sad part is that our kids won''t even remember it! But I love looking at my very limited first bday pics (a small affair with my aunt and parents since we had just immigrated to America and knew no one) so I know your DS will love his.

lili, you always make me chuckle. Michelangelo indeed! Good to know that J also wasn''t a fan of flipping front to back, because now I can be 100% assured that it doesn''t mean anything because your girl is SO mobile! Happy 7 months to J tomorrow!

msb! Good to see you around here again, and of course the photo of your prince since he''s in your avatar. We had quite a few ladies MIA (and I go a bit AWOL myself from time to time).

MrsM, your post about your Amelia napping made me happy! I am so thrilled for you that you found something that helps Amelia nap. Who woulda thunk? A jogging stroller of all things!!! You can sell it later if you don''t use it...people don''t like to pay full price for those things so you will get at least half back, if not more. And please, continue to "go on" about it..that is what we are here for! I remember in the early days when I was carefully trying to "condition" Amelia. I was just SO excited every night when she conked out earlier and earlier. Getting our babies to sleep is like a crazy science project from time to time...when we are successful, we can''t believe it worked!

QT, good for you for date night! Don''t worry, you and M will survive and manage somehow. But boy, I do hate those fussy periods.

Gemma, congrats! I love her name. And of course she is beautiful (never seen an ugly PS baby...our diamonds must have cute powers or something).

Burk, volleyball season is over already? Didn''t it just start? Man, time flies. It''ll be great for you to spend more time with Tayva. I am also sitting on the edge of my seat until we know for SURE it''s a BFP or BFN (just read you are waiting for aunt flo, but ya never know!!) And re: diaper bags...hehehe...I say get it. We need treats as moms...we really do (especially if you are having another one!) More on that (diaper bags, not having another one) below...

Curly, it''s not enough that Lily is beautiful, lovely, cute, yadda yadda...now she wants to make an entrance into full blown knockout too? My goodness, I feel sorry for your husband! I am going to sell bats on PS that pack a punch but are guaranteed not to kill (to avoid life in prison) - I bet I''d make a fortune.

Jas, you are so right about the personality explosion. It''s like the spices are being added and they aren''t so bland anymore! But yeah, I''m over the whining already. Amelia only does it when I put her down in her crib before mealtimes. I''m like, oh be quiet ya faker. So much better now when that she is sitting because I will sit her down in the crib while I make her a bottle and she is happy as Larry. Boy, it''s going to be a long time before Amelia can play patty cake with Co if it keeps going like this with the motor skills. I notice when I try to show her things by touching her hands, she pulls away. Little snot!

snlee, glad to hear everything is going much more smoothly! Re: diaper bags...the mamabargains deal was awesome, HOWEVER I think the Fleurville bags are kinda ick. I never really liked them before, but I needed a lightweight, monster sized bag for our trip to Oz and that is why I got it. I have a JuJuBe Packabe I was going to take, but that sucker weighs in at over 2 pounds EMPTY.
14.gif
I''m keeping it because I got it for 40 bucks and think I will use it a lot more when she is a toddler and I need my hands free (trips to park, etc). Skip Hops are great bags, practical, and don''t scream mom.

And speaking of bags...

I said I treated myself. Well, I got the Not Rational Hansel Diaper bag in wine pearlized and it''s gorgeous! However I think I am going to sell it even though I got it at half price because last week, before the not rational sample sale, I got this:

185513998_oa.jpg

Now, I know that Balenciaga is yesterday’s bag, but I don’t care about those kinds of things. I bought this on ebay and it is authentic and I LOVE it. I am so picky about bags because it has to stay on my shoulder and be super light due to my neck/shoulder issues. This bag is all those things! It’s also in great condition and I picked boring brown so I could use it for a long time and not get sick of it. I saw Mara’s a couple of years ago and thought it was so cute but I hardly carry anything so it would have been a waste. Now I can justify a bigger bag because when Amelia gets older I can put a few toys in there for her and a change of clothes (plus a diaper and some wipes.) The not rational bag is so pretty but I am not sure I am going to carry it because I have so many other practical bags. I’ll see if I can sell it for what I paid for it to some other mom who might want a deal. I see so many bags on craigslist that I KNOW were purchased as seconds or deal a day sites like mamabargains and these people trying to make a profit. Geez, the last group of people I want to make money on is a mom who is trying to save every penny!!

OK ladies, I think I’ve babbled on enough…I’m off to Vegas for the weekend. First trip for TGuy and me away from the baby. I actually would rather stay home with her, but it’s a friend’s 40th birthday and I really should go. I’m going to miss my kid!!
