Burk
Hope it's no news means good news.

Tacori
:) ooo...more pix on the who's who.
you know, we mommas here are Tessa fan too :P
so don't be too stingy with her pictures here.
that pix of T petting you is too cute and you look great.

TGal
thanks. i think we need a little dose of Amelia.
the halloween pictures are cute....but she's all in disguise, so those don't as her 7th month
41.gif

unlike Tacori, i'll shamelessly flood this thread with pictures of j ;)
since we can't post video clips on here, i have the next best thing.

a collage of her taken in fast action mode.
this is how she gets when she sees the camera.
explains why i have so many of those "in your face" shots of her.

fastaction.jpg

Diver, sorry to hear about all the puking. Hope the whole family feels better soon.

Tacori, love the new avatar! She look so grown up in the new avatar.

lili, flood us away with J''s pictures. I love it, she is just too cute!!

Thanks Burk, I need to go find a little Santa suit for little B.

another quick drive by from me..

Diver: eeeeeeeeeeeeck!! sorry to hear about all the puking...ur house must spell all pretty ;) hope everyone feels better soon!!

Lili: oh my goodness! love the quick action shots of her!! shes such an adorable little girl (and its the bear onsie again!! hahaha..i swear i dont mean anything by that :) ) and yes..a very lethal combo!!

Burk: im so glad to hear that T is doing so much better!! yay!!

Snlee: Do what you feel is best for you and D..i had this conversation with a co-worker of mine just yesterday. he was saying that he was opposed to the idea of transferring the kids to their rooms and he loved co-sleeping..he said the children WILL grow up and move to their room eventually, so why are you forcing them to do so from now? children need love and affection and more so while they are asleep..they dont have a way to show you that they need you, but if they are next to you, they are comforted by your smell and ur touch..that many times they just put their hands out and grab ur arm or ur hair or ur face and are comforted and sleep so much better...ehhhhh!!! totally wasn''t wat i wanted to hear after having a rough nite between running from my room to little k''s nursery when he woke up several times that nite!

Tacori: little K has been doing the same thing that T does..i actually have a picture of him in that position too :)..love ur new avatar (AND the kitchen!)

Jas12: sux about the weather
7.gif
u can have our ''heat waves'' anytime of the year!!heheh

Bobo: hows little B doing??

Curly:

for Lucy STTN!!!! u lucky lady :) hopefully it continues and isn''t a fluke!! I bought little K the Safety 1st 3 step potty trainer seat..basically it can be used as a stand alone potty, then you can transfer it to an ''adult'' toilet by placing the potty seat on it and the base then can be used as a stand for the sink. I received a ''potty trainer'' tip...it basically said that you need to let your child get used to the idea of sitting on this ''device'' before he/she is comfortable enuf to ''go'' in it. so for a period of 5 days to a week, you should place your child on the potty fully clothed (this can be done in the living room, kitchen, bathroom, wherever..) after they are comfortable, you can then place the kid bear bottomed on it for another period of time (they dont necessarily need to DO anything..just get used to being nekkid and on the potty). After that you can then start placing them on the potty rite after a meal, or a bath or at a time you believe they need to go...and you just take it from there...long process, but they swore it worked...

Diver, she has always had hair...that''s for sure. Everyone always asks about it. She still hasn''t has a haircut yet though. I am trying to grow it out. Luckily her bangs don''t seem to bother her b/c she is really good at taking her clips out (which of course annoys me! Haha!) Delaney''s head is mighty cute, hair or no hair. D''s hair is starting to fill in though!

Lili, I know, I know! I tend to switch off threads. Thanks for your compliment. I think my friend had a magic camera plus notice how I hid behind Tessa! J is SOOOOOO cute. I love the series of pics you just posted. Tessa does the same thing (come SOOO close to my camera like it is a game).

Bobo, I know!
39.gif
She isn''t a baby anymore.

msb, well now you have to post that picture of K!
2.gif

Diver--OMG, what a terrible few days. It''s one thing to be sick yourself and have to take care of 2 kids, but to be sick and take care of the sick---ouch. I really hope for a speedy recovery in the diver household. I was wondering where the heck you had been

Snlee--maybe an armsreach co-sleeper would be a good happy medium. That''s what Cohen slept in until close to 4 months. I had so much trouble sleeping i could never have Co right in my bed each night but i wanted him next to me so that worked. Also, if u really want to transition him give it a few nights. before you decide for sure, he may be disoriented the first couple of times but then just forget about your bed altogether. good luck

MSB--heat waves would suck too. i want to move to new zealand for a happy medium. i love the temperate climate there
3.gif

Lili--oh my, i say it over and over, but that child amazes me. She is so spunky. I wish you lived nearby so that J could have a play date with Co and teach him how to get around. Right now Co is laying on his back with this toy that has little creatures on it. He''s ''talking'' to them and trying to remove their tiny eyes and ears. He''s a details man for sure, would stay there for hours if i let him, but i bet if i moved that toy 3 feet away he''d pout and just decide it is waaaay too far away to bother with
3.gif

Tacori--gorgeous new avi. I give co my keys too. Whatever works. Question for you and Tgal, does it not cost anything to have a home agent? How does it work?

Burk--we just got a set of plans drawn up for a new house as well. Like you we live in an old home (over 100 yrs) and i love the old grates, the solid brick exterior and overall charm but yep, the rooms are tiny and the lack of closet space (basically no closets) is driving me nutty. You and i need a big mud-room to put all the boots, jackets, hats, mitts, shovels etc. don''t we?! That''s how we can justify it! Glad to have cold weather sympathy from another PS.

Speaking of cold weather--Lili, since i bugged u for that pic. Here is Co in his puffy vest. No winter gear pics yet. This one is from last month

cobundle.jpg

Jas12, here the agents (Buyer and Seller) usually split 6% of the sale of the home (it does vary slightly sometimes). This is part of the closing costs which the seller typically pays for. So for the buyer it is great and basically like getting *free* advice/help/expertise. Of course when you go to sell that house you make up for it (if you use a full service listing agent and the buyer is represented it is your turn to pay).

Co looks adorable all bundled up!

Tacori~yep, you''re enabling. But, at least when my husband gets after me, I have someone to blame it on!
41.gif

Diver~Look at that head of D''s. So cute-looks like she''s going to have herself some beautiful dark locks some day.
2.gif
I think this cuddly is probably because she''s still not feeling well (getting over pneumonia.)

lili~Adorable collage! I''m hoping no news is good news. We shall see........

bobo~We''ll need to see pics of Little B in his Santa suit!!!
3.gif

msb~Thanks!

Jas12~Yep, we can cry about our cold weather to each other for the next few months.... There are so many things I love about old homes but closet space and living space wins out! We do plan to build our house as a craftsman style home so we will try and build some new-old character into it. Ya know? Have you guys purchased a lot yet? How big are you going to build? It''s pretty exciting. My list of "must haves" is a mile long-including mud room! How cute is Co in his vest?!?! I love it!

These pics are awesome. J definitely is SO spunky. She totally amazes everyday, and she''s not even my kid. I could show you pics of Amelia sleeping, but I don''t think that would be nearly as awe inspiring.

Jas, I totally laughed when I saw that adorable pic of Co. I hate to tell ya, but in our neck of the woods, that vest would BE serious winter gear around here!!!

We did put the offer in yesterday, but like I said, it''s a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong shot. They had 12 offers on the house. TWELVE. Some with 20 percent downpayments (we had almost 14%). We were also below what the seller said was the minimum offer (which was the asking price). No harm in trying though.

Gonna be a busy day ladies...I''ll drop and in catch up when I can. Thanks for everyone''s good wishes on the house!

Jas12- love that pic of Cohen. it''s cold here now too and I don''t have a winter coat yet for jake. I just bundle him in a sweatshirt and blankets if we go out. we have a garage so thankfully the car isn''t really cold when we get in.

tgal- 12 offers?? holy cow. you just never know though and it''s great you at least tried.

msb, little B is doing well, thanks for asking. He will be getting another echocardiogram the on the 24th and hopefully that one will turn out well and we can stop the meds.

Jas12, Co looks so cute in his puffy vest.

Burk, I hope I can find one, haven''t had any luck yet.

lili how cute is J?!?! very beautiful little girl!!! we leave for LA tomorrow, so these past few days have been a bit crazy here with laundry and packing and getting everything done.

jas12 Co looks so cute all bundled up. it was pretty sunny here up until today. when we went out these past few days, i just out B in a t-shirt and he was still sweating.

MrsS. ah yes, i got away with a hoddie and blanket for Co for a while (until his grandmas spotted him in that attire and thought it was borderline child abuse) then i was given this *hideous* Pooh Bear one-piece snow suit that i am forced to put him in until i can find something to spill on it
15.gif
2.gif

He needs it today anyway, it''s 15 below zero and 20 cm of snow is forecast for tonight. I have to take my hat off to you for getting 3 kids ready for the cold. I really don''t know how u do it.
Forgot to mention, i do the same kind of night-nursing. Quickest way to get our food-happy boys back to sleep isn''t it. Probably not the best thing, like u said, but whatever.

Burk--yes, we have a lot set aside (DH is in the trades and a land developer whom he does contracts for has reserved one for us) the only thing we are waiting on is approval for the plans. The lot is in a more wealthy area of town and our home plans may not be ''grand'' enough for the area (i forget the sq footage, but it''s a 4 bedroom , 3 bath, 2 floors). We don''t really want to live in this part of town but we plan to flip so if we can go through with it then it will be a good financial move for us.
What stage are you at now? it will be *so* nice for you to have spacious rooms, storage and a mud room--esp if u want more kiddies!!
36.gif

Tgal--sending home-owner dust your way. 12 offers is a lot to compete with, but wackier things have happened.

Hey, you know what's more fun than a three-month-old with a slight tummy virus? Two three-month-olds with a slight tummy virus. And not at the same time...just as one got better, the other got sick.

So I'm like 300 pages behind.

Miss you guys. I miss me, quite frankly, as I have disappeared into zombie mom.

And Aunt Flo returned the other day...ok, really, I thought I had a little more time (although I am on POP BC and that may account for it)...four weeks of bleeding postpartum and then this? Ewwww.

Suffice it to say that add some grubby sweats (covered in blarp) and the fact that I don't remember when I last showered and I am hot, ladies. Keep the men in yer lives locked away for they shall swoon in my stinky presence.
9.gif

ETA: Ok, scrolling up I see that Diver wins the suckfest this week. Eww. So sorry, honey.
14.gif

Jackets are so annoying to put on babies. T will not sit still plus maybe it is too small or something but I feel like I am going to break her arms when I put them in the sleeves (which are WAY too long).

Speaking of annoying I got her all ready, in the car seat and we were going to run off to TJ''s when I noticed DH blocked me in with his truck
20.gif
I was going to red neck it and go around the house (through the front yard) b/c I was *pissed* but noticed that side was blocked with his trailer!
29.gif
He is not home (yes we have 4 cars
20.gif
) but I left a very angry message.

Burk, sure you can blame me. I guess I am lucky since we are already in our forever house (not to say we have lots of planned renos and additions)

oh...I smell poop...be right back to finish.

Jackie, you sound HOT!
30.gif
31.gif
13.gif
41.gif

Tacori, that kind of stuff STEAMS me. I don''t often sweat the small things, but I dunno...leaving me home with the kid with no way to get out? Hell to pay...

TGal, 12 offers is crazy! Good luck...you NEVER know what can happen
2.gif

Bobo, I will be thinking of little B on the 24th!

Puffy, how exciting your trip is coming up! I am jealous!
1.gif

Jas, sorry the boys are sick! It probably would be easier if they were both sick at once. Hope they feel better soon! I was really lucky and didn''t get my period *forever* (after the initial bleeding). My friend NEVER had a break. Sucks I am sure!

Tacori, that was 12 as of yesterday early afternoon. I walked by the house late afternoon after there was a sign on the door saying no more showings. There were 2 groups of people with their respective realtors writing offers on the hood of the car. My guess is that there are 15-20 offers on the house.

They were smart to list it at 100K less than comps in the area. Nuts. But hey, it got me to bite, so I can only imagine how many home shoppers also got excited about it! The nice part is that it gave me a trial run for the next time we put an offer on a house. And I can start looking as a real bonafide qualified buyer.

Speaking of, my credit score was in the 800''s...woo hoo!!!

TGal, DH called me and yelled at *me* for leaving a nasty message.
20.gif
Figures. "I forgot, aren''t I allowed to make mistakes?" Blah blah blah. Doesn''t help that I have cramps and don''t feel good so I am already in a bad mood. But all is well in the Tacori house. I put him straight that I am ALLOWED to be angry sometimes (doesn''t happen *too* often) and he is allowed to make mistakes (keep in mind he gets all hot and bothered at me if there are no more diapers in her basket even though they are STORED in the cab. under her changing table and I have told him a MILLION times) *sigh* So I think I am going to go tonight after she is in bed (and DH is home) even though I hate driving in the dark. Yes I am 80 years old.
3.gif

It is a smart move b/c multiple offers is a seller''s dream. Sounds like CA market is still pretty hot. Luckily NC is not too bad in the price range DH sells (under 200K) But there are FOUR houses for sale in my small neighborhood and they have been on the market for quite sometime. 800 credit score! You are AWESOME! You should be proud and I know with time you will find your perfect home. My Ame deserves a yard!
2.gif
3.gif
Look into foreclosures. Are you guys handy at all? It is all public knowledge and is published at your court house so you can bid on them BEFORE they hit the MLS (and get 20+ offers). Just a thought.

Jas12~That's great that you have a lot already. We have 3 lots that we like-all in different parts of town and for different reasons. One is on a private lake and we're leaning towards it. We're also planning a 2 story home. It'll be 4-5 bedrooms and probably 3000 or so square feet. Still working on a final plan-we're putting together a few because we like different parts of each. This will very likely be our forever home. When do you think you'll start building?

jas~You do indeed sound HOT! Sorry for the tummy virus. Poor babies. Poor mommy!!

Tacori~Sounds like something my DH would do! That would get me all worked up too! Like it's not hard enough to get the coat on and get everything ready to get out the door, then you do and you can't go anywhere! I gotta blame my spending on someone....heaven forbid I take responsibility for my own actions!
9.gif
2.gif
Speaking of, did you go to Gap for Friends and Family? I got T come cute stuff and some were on sale and they let me take an additional 30% off them too!

Tgal~15-20 offers sounds crazy!! The sellers played that one well!!

Burk, did I ever. I actually only got some cords for myself at The Gap BUT then I ran down to ON, got her a winter jacket (that I might need to exchange for a larger size) snow pants (for when we go to ohio for x-mas), some other clothes too. I really didn''t see anything at The Gap I liked for her (on sale or otherwise) plus I am trying to slow down. She has so much. I bought some pants at Target for $5...exciting right?!? The button won''t stay snapped!

I would urge you to build a 5 bedroom. We have 4 and I wish so much we had a 5th. Of course with 3,000 sqft a 5 bedroom house would mean much smaller rooms depending on how many other "extra" rooms you have. We have friends who have around the same sqft and they have a 5th bedroom and they seem *so* much smaller.

BTW, thanks for understanding ladies! DH totally acted like I over-reacted. But then I remind myself of poor Jas and Diver and I probably did.

jas, sorry to hear about the tummy virus with the boys. Hope they feel better soon. Poor mama, you must be exhausted taking care of them.

Thanks Tacori. I hate putting jackets or sweater on little B too, I too feel like I''m going to break his little arms.

FIVE bedrooms?
6.gif
You guys are greedy...I will feel lucky if we get three!
39.gif

Ca real estate in our area is not hot. The reason why this home got a lot of interest was because it was priced so much lower than comps and it is in a lovely street in a great area with good schools. Most homes are just languishing.

And get this...you guys will flip because of what you can probably get for this money...our offer was 550K. Over a half a million bucks for a small 3bedroom home that isn''t totally up to date. keep in mind that comparables are going for 100K more. It kills me what the market is like here on Ca. I mean, who cares if we have world class restaurants and lots of things to do here in LA? I won''t have money to do those things once we get a house. I''m going to buy shares in Top Ramen, because that''ll be all I eat. Oh well. That''s the price we pay for not having to bundle the tots in winter gear.
20.gif

Tacori, men are clueless. I love em, but CLUELESS. I have told TGuy as well: hey buddy, I have the right to be mad or grumpy too! And trust me, I do not get mad, grumpy, moody often. TGuy tells our friends that he is the chick in this relationship.

Bobo, you have the best darn holiday av on PS...you should be helping me on the holiday av thread! Hee!!!

Oh, and Tacori, yes I am *very* proud of my credit score. Partly because I was irresponsible in my early twenties (chump change compared to what kids are doing now, but I had 2,000 in CC debt that I settled on) and partly - mostly actually - because when I was 24 my dad forced me to buy a truck for him with my credit (which was not destroyed at the time) because his was so bad. The truck was repo''d a year later and they came after me for several years after to pay the difference. Even though my dad strongarmed me into doing it and the carsalesperson knew it and was dishonest (lots of shady deals within the Korean community), in the end I figured it was my responsbility and settled that debt. In my 20''s, I could not even buy a pencil on credit. I started building it back up by getting a $300 secured credit card in my late 20''s.

So I am very very pleased indeed.

TGal, CA is high cost of living. Move to the midwest/south and you too can have 5 bedrooms...heck 6+ for $550,000.
2.gif
You should be very proud b/c it is hard to mend your credit. So DH came home said he was sorry and gave me a $100 bill
33.gif
Okay...Haha.

100 dollar bill? Hm - tell him that''s not enough for the CAMERA you want to buy!

I know...CA is crazy. But it''s what we are used to, I suppose.

tacori yup, we leave tomorrow. it should be fun, but we''ll see how the travel gets. i think our house right now is sometimes not big enough because of all the stuff that B has, ok well i have some too. we have a 3500 sq ft house with a master bed/ bath, 2 other good sized rooms, and an in law type downstairs. it sounds big, but sheeesh, if we have another kid, i might as well live in the garage
2.gif
and speaking of housing markets, it makes me sick to think that the prices around my area are crazy expensive for average sized homes. a house close to size in ours but a bit smaller sold recently at almost 2 million. YIKES!!
and aren''t jackets the biggest pain?!?!

jas sorry you are going through all that! poor you and poor babies
7.gif

tgal good luck with the offer!! you never know what will happen. keeping my finger crossed for you!

bobo how''s little B?

so as i was trying to pack some stuff for B for our trip, and he saw that i was grabbing some socks, so he went and picked up the socks i just put in the suitcase and put them in the hamper
6.gif
the kid cracks me up! every time he sees socks or a shirt, he grabs it and puts it in his hamper, even if it''s not his sock
9.gif
it was pretty funny.
