James is doing good. He bonked his head yesterday and cried and cried and cried. Then he got a toy and was so over it. He was sitting up (unassisted) and I turned away for one second to put his blanket on the couch and he flung himself back
39.gif
He''s fine but it was scary for me. He''s been sitting up unassisted for a few weeks now so I was surprised that he did that - and what makes me mad and feel like a bad mommy is that I always put a pillow behind him and this one time I didn''t
38.gif
At least he''s okay. Your story about B was so funny! I can just see the little guy doing that - so cute
3.gif

Dreamer - Like Tacori, we change sizes when the goods fail to stay inside the diaper. I think it also depends on the shape of your baby. James is in Pampers Baby Dry in a size 4 now
32.gif
BIG BOY! We just switched to those last week after he had two days of blowouts for a (relatively) small amount of poop. When James was little we only kept him in the newborn size (Pampers) for a short time and then moved onto the size 1''s since they seemed to fit better.

Tacori - My parents are like your inlaws in money. Sometimes they spend a lot on things and then are waaaayyyy cheap on others - especially my mom. It''s like she has this preconcieved notion in her head of how much things should cost and if it''s actually more then to her it''s the biggest rip off in the world
20.gif
She''s especially like this with cars, houses and beauty products. Oh well - nothin'' I can do about it

Arghhhh! Just wanted to vent for one sec. My babysitter just called out sick, again! I am so bummed. I was really looking forward to her coming over and me having a little break- not cool. Oh well. dh will be home late tonight. I guess my break will start then? Just have to hold on a little bit longer...Btw I think I have only had her coming for 3 or 4 weeks and she already called out sick twice!
emotion-41.gif
Pave - that sucks about your sitter! Is there somebody else you can call so you can get some relief? If you were nearby I''d gladly skip out of my office and help with your sweet little newborn
2.gif
We use an in-home daycare and so far so good. James only goes part-time to begin with and have plenty of family that could help in a pinch so even if she did get sick we wouldn''t be in a total bind.

I'm behind again..
15.gif
I'm going to get caught up now, just to get behind again over the weekend. I'm playing in a volleyball tournament out of town this weekend. Dh is in charge of T and it will be the longest he's ever been on daddy duty. He's looking forward to it and I'm looking forward to my weekend away and playing some competitive volleyball. We're going shopping tomorrow morning before play starts so that's an added bonus! Next week is my spring break so I'll be home with T so I don't feel nearly as guilty being gone all day Saturday and part of Sunday. Enough about me...

How is party planning going?

Bobo~Tayva is doing great! Thanks for asking. You must be busy! How is little B?

DD~If the newborn diapers seem too tight, he's blowing out of them, ect, I'd just stick with the size 1's. I found that I was a Pampers girl through size 2 and now we use Huggies. Just keep testing them. Sucks, but it's the only way to find out what you like and what works for your kid! Forgot to comment on how cute Hunter was in the pic you posted a while back, too! Cuteness overload on this thread I tell ya!

puffy~Sandals!! yay!! That's so funny about B and the birds. Tayva would never actually sit still to look for something. I wish she would!
3.gif
And super cute story about the grocery store. I think it's so crazy how they mimic what they see! So smart! Tayva does all the things to her baby we do her...for example the other day she was holding her baby upside down and laughing because we hold her upside when we're playing. I would have never figured she's pick that up, but sure enough.

pave~Thanks for the info! I actually saw my friend and her adorable baby yesterday afternoon!
30.gif
The baby is so sweet and well mannered and my friend said they're going to do the surgery this summer. So, I'll get her that info. Hang in there! You're Dh will be home soon. I know how long those trips can be. My DH leaves Sunday (which sucks because I'm leaving town tonight and won't get home until Sunday) and doesn't get back until Thursday. I have the week off school so I'll be home with Tayva all day and have no reinforcements at night.
16.gif

iluv~Sounds like party planning is coming along.

Tacori~Hopefully your IL's will compromise and buy something middle of the road. We love our Triumph. It got great reviews for safety. Believe me, I researched for a long time before we purchased. The dribble thing is pretty hilarious. She now tries to dribble every ball. Are you going to start T in swim lessons? I'm thinking about it. Our country club offers them throughout the summer so I figure I will give it a shot.

Diva~When T first started sitting unassisted she fell back and hit her head on our tub one morning when I was getting ready for work. It was scary!

diva awww, poor james, but glad that he''s ok. babies fall all the time, so don''t beat yourself up too much. B has been walking for so long and running and he still falls over and gets bruises all over. has he been sleeping at night?

pave sorry to hear about the sitter. just hold on a little longer and you''ll get that much deserved break!! odd that she''s been out sick 2 times already. hang in there girl!!

burk it is the funniest thing that they mimic everything that they see. i love the T story. i laughed just thinking about it. she is ready to be an older sister for sure. hope you have a great time at the vball tourney!! ooohhhhh, and more shopping?!?! i LOVE it!! i''m actually headed out to do some shopping as well as soon as B wakes up from his nap. then we''ll go to the park since it''s nice out again. have a great weekend, and "see" you when you get back!!

neat i hope your DH gets the job he wants!! i''ll keep fingers crossed for you guys. how are the boys doing? how are you doing?

have a great weekend everyone!!!

Attn all mommies who are thinking of going for the next one...

First of all, let me say there is NO WAY I am pregnant. TGuy has been out of town and I haven't been shacking up with anyone else.

This morning, I woke up and was MASSIVELY dizzy and nauseous. TGuy had to stay home until the nanny got here. The room kept spinning and my stomach was jumping. I ended up running to the toilet and dry heaving (if I had eaten, I would have had lost the meal). Just hung onto the toilet for dear life while the room was spinning and spinning.

It felt like massive morning sickness, which I never had (I just had queasiness at around 4 pm every day). If this is what morning sickness is like and if you have it EVERY DAY for 6 to 7 weeks -

YOU GIRLS ARE ON YOUR OWN.

Happying TTCing!!!

35.gif

I'm mostly a lurker, but I read this thread with some frequency. I happened to read this post a few days ago and it popped in my mind when I woke up this morning feeling HIDEOUSLY dizzy and nauseous. My husband had to stay home from work as well because there is NO WAY I could take care of my 2 year old feeling like I do. I had horrible morning sickness during my pregnancy lasting from about week 6 to week 15. Just like you, Tgal, having this stomach flu (or whatever it is) made me think I can't possibly imagine being pregnant again.

Was your illness short-lived? I'm still feeling dizzy and a touch nauseous at 4 pm. I need for it to go away ASAP because I'm completely miserable. Hope you're all better!!

Once again, thanks for all the help! Hunter hasn''t really had a poop blow out, but pee was starting to leak in the nb size, so I guess size 1 it is! They are just so comically baggy in the butt/crotch I thought maybe there was a problem, but no real leaks so far in the pampers... huggies leaked poop out the leg holes
14.gif

Pave sucky about the sitter... when does she come by? do you do errends or are you working now?

Tacori My in laws are also like that with money, even though they are fairly well off! For example, if they buy something that we will pay them back for (like something from their buying club), they always tell us what we owe them down to the penny! I don''t know, I find this funny. They are generous and not all at the same time. BTW we have an evenflo carseat and they are inexpensive but rate highly on safety.

Burk Don''t give him you cell number when you are away or your DH may call all the time with questions!
3.gif

Diva Do you have any recent pics of James? He sounds like a bruiser!
9.gif
That''s a good thing!

Neat Waiting to hear about jobs that involve moving SUCKS, the waiting is so hard, at least it was for me over the last few months. Now we know we will be moving to the west coast of British Columbia and although the move is scary, it is heavon on earth compared to southern Ontario. I think you are trading up moving to CA too...

So I read ''The Secrets of the Baby Whisperer" over the last couple days (while BFing mostly) and it is a very interesting read! Jas I know you used it to help with Co''s sleeping. We have had Hunter on a pseudo EASY routine since day 1, but have had trouble getting him to fall asleep in the daytime after his alert periods (which are only 2-3 times a day, usually he is sleeping right after eating). We would end up rocking him/ going for drives (only did this 2x) and basically "working" to help him fall asleep for like an hour or an hour and a half! Then he would sleep *on* one of us!
20.gif
Well that won''t cut it for long, especially after DH goes back to work in 3 weeks.

The baby whisperer has lots of great suggestion for teaching baby to fall asleep and we started them today! This morning it only took 30 minutes for him to fall asleep, no boob or longterm rocking required, but he cried and I picked him up to comfort him then put him down again when he was fluttering his eyes three times. Just now, I rocked and sang to him for 5 minutes and then he went down with eyes fluttering and fell asleep no problemo! Anyways, I am optimistic this will work out. He was napping anywhere we could get him down before (carrier or being held mostly) but from now on he will nap swaddled and in his bed.

I was a little sceptical about this method at first because I have read that babies cannot self-sooth until they are around 3mo. But this method means that you pick baby up when he/she cries and sooth baby, then put him/her down when the baby is calm again. So YOU help sooth the baby, but baby learns to fall asleep. That made sense. We''ll see how it goes over the next few days
2.gif

DD--the baby whisperer was really a life saver for me and i will start it from day one with baby # 2--it does take a few weeks to kick in, but i think a good routine is the key to sanity. Oh, forgot to mention, i got some samples of costco diapers last weekend. I gave one a try and it was good. Are u going to do cloth eventually?

Pave--ugh, sorry to hear your sitter backed out. Nothing is more annoying than to get a good break yanked out from under you. We moms soooo need a break once in a while. have the Baby Whisperer Solves all Your Problems. It seemed to answer *my* problems
3.gif
so i didn''t need to buy another book, not sure how the others differ.

....
My pictures by the lake didn''t turn out--it was too cold for Cohen and we only lasted 5 min before his little hands froze and we had to leave. I''ll try next week when it''s supposed to warm up again.
I booked my NYC trip for Aug. long weekend (chickened out of the may trip--just too soon to wean) --it is also the w/e of Charlie''s 30th b-day so we''ll have a reason to celebrate & is also around when we plan on TTC # 2 so it might be a busy weekend

Need to catch up but real quick...

Need to catch up but real quick...

DD, how do you like your stroller? How does it do on outside walks/hills? Steer?

I adore my stroller. I posted a mini-review about its peformance in the Baby Stuff thread this week in response to another person's questions... there are only a couple of small drawbacks IMHO, which I describe there. It would be great for a child T's age, and it really is a one-handed fold. Steers with one hand, pushes like a dream. Totally in love with it. There's more in the other thead. Not good for off-rading, great on widewalks eyc. (ETA sorry about typos, no glasses on!)

ETA: Here's what I said:

"I have this stroller! I loooooove it!!! I posted my review 2 or 3 pages back. Now that we use it all the time, I can say I really love it! It is so lightweight, it steers like a dream and putting it in and out of the car is awesome--we made about 4 stops running errends today and each time it took no time at all to get Hunter into the stroller (with the snap and go attachment), I cannot say how nice this was. It is really a one handed fold. I can steer it one handed, and it turns on a dime. Great storage underneath (fits my JuJuBe diaper bag) and on the back of the seat.

My complains are minimal but worth mentioning. When the car seat is snapped on, you cannot open the canopy to cover the sar seat (car seat is too wide). Other, larger strollers I have seen (like the valco) allow this. So the canopy cannot be used when the carseat is attached, which such since the canopy is dreamy. Also, the wheels are not pneumatic and the shocks are not as strong as they are in the Bugaboo or the BOB, this means that when you want to go over a curb/bump that is greater than about 2 inches, you need to put a footon the rear wheel axel and tilt the front wheel over the curb, simply pushing is over the curb will jolt your baby like mad! But other than those complaints, we adore this stroller. "

We have gone on 4k walks about 5 times so far with it in a typical city neighbourhood and we both love it. Don't know why someone would call it an indoor stroller?? for the $$ I think it is a great outdoor one, though it is a super dream indoors and turns on a dime (we have taken it to the mall, grocery shopping etc.)

Ah!!

Could you guys have any cuter kids? No, no you couldn''t. I seriously L
30.gif
VE this thread. I read it, too, but I''m sure it will make more sense when I''m a mother, but gosh. The pictures of the babies. Gorgeous!

Thank you for sharing them; they make me smile every time!!

PUFFY - James has been sleeping only marginally better. He''s gone from being up 3x per night to 1x per night on average. Last night he actually slept from about 8:30pm until 6am! He''s also back to two naps during the day. For like two or three weeks he''d only do one nap in the early afternoon and then be up for the rest of the day.

DREAMER - I do have some cute pics of James in the tub from a few days ago but I haven''t gotten around to putting them in the computer yet. Maybe this weekend.

JAS12 - You''re going to be TTC! That''s so exciting - good luck!

We were initially planning on TTC around July/August but I''m not ready yet - not with James not really STTN and not in this economy. As it stands now, 2 kids at the stitter equals negative money for me and we cannot do that. I realize that I could start looking for another job (full-time) but I like working part-time and having the time to spend with James. DH says that I worry too much about money and that it will all work out, but it makes me sick to think of how tough it will be for us to have two kids given our financial situation
15.gif
I just DO NOT want to live with my IL''s forever and I guess I feel like if we have another baby that we''ll end up being here for much longer than anticipated. Even with just James I don''t know what we''re going to do when we finally get our own place.
39.gif
We''ll be able to make ends meet, but I am just so tired of having to struggle all the time
39.gif
38.gif
I''m sorry to be such a Debbie Downer tonight but sometimes I think I live in La La Land. I''m sorry ladies - I need to get to bed.

Hey ladies.. how''s everyone doing?

its been quite busy with preparation for little K''s bday party, work, and life in general...

yesterday K was invited to a bday party on the beach..the few times i took him before he HATED the sand and water..got all grossed out! hahah..anyhow, yesterday he LOVED it...he wouldnt leave the water!! i''ll post a few pics for u ladies :)my little boy is growing up too fast!

he started saying "mama" a week ago (he said EVERYTHING else except that!) and yesterday he started saying "baba" (mama & baba are the proper arabic words for Mom & Dad)...my husband couldn''t stop grinning...

Puffy: So cute about B pretend shopping!! its amazing how their brains pick up on everything huh?

Pave: glad to hear you managed to go thru the nite all on your own!! and yay for your hubby coming back
36.gif
..the bday party still hasn''t happened..it''ll be on the 11th of April..as for the babysitter, id have a serious talk with her about this..if she has a serious health condition, then she needs to be upfront with u so u can work on a schedule together..otherwise, this isn''t cool
38.gif
..a friend of mine actually faced a similar problem, but she had to go to work and couldn''t because of this..she ended up asking her Babysitter for a doctor''s note to confirm she was sick...my friend said if i called in sick, I''d have to bring in a doctor''s note..why shouldn''t she? shes working too..

Jas: potty training already..gotta get tips from u on that one..havent even started yet and im dreading it..its just that i keep reading i need to take time off so i can be with him and take him to the potty often, but i can''t take time off work
7.gif
..yay about the trip and TTC!!! we''ve got quite a few mama''s here on the TTC board..it''ll be so much fun if we got all got preggo together :)

Tacori: good luck on the car seat hunt! dont have much advice on the stroller though
7.gif
sorry!

Diva: great news about James sitting up unassisted! not so fun about the flinging part though
23.gif

Burk: yay for having some alone time!! and shopping..i heart shopping!! planning is going well...did a few trial runs with the cuppies and they came out great...the frosting on the other hand needs some practice! hehe..

DD: glad that the tips from the book are working :)

bobo: great news about B gaining weight!!! luckily, little K doesnt like to put anything in his mouth so i havent had to worry about that...but im sure baby soap was made knowing that some babies WILL end up putting stuff in their mouth so it mite not be so bad? i dunno..maybe others can chime in here...

MrsS: sorry if u''ve already talked about this, but hows the packing/moving going?

lili: hows J doing??

TGal: hope ur over the stomach bug!!

and here are a few pics from the beach party...i ended up leaving before the cake was lit, but it was already 130 and we''ve been there since 11 am!

(him happy on the slide)

wow! that was huge..sorry!

MSB: He is SO SO CUTE! I love his little wetsuit!

msb
how fun for little K at the beach party!
he''s so cute in his wetsuit!
can never get enough of his lovely curls
30.gif
30.gif

msb-he''s just adorable in his swimsuit. he looks like he is having a blast. the packing is going fine. we aren''t officially moving until school is out so I''m not in a huge hurry. I just keep working on closets and the things we don''t need or use everyday. thanks for asking!

mrsb he is just so cute!! he looks like he is definitely having a great time. do you have most of the stuff for his party planned out?

diva that''s great that james is sleeping a tad better. i hope you and your DH figure out what is best for you guys in the TTC.

hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Hi everyone, hope everyone had a good weekend.

Burk: yay for hubby taking care of T for a weekend--that'll be quite a feat! I've only left the baby with DH for a couple hours so far
emwink.gif

Tacori: how's the stroller search going? I hear ya on the in-laws--mine haven't bought one baby item. I mean it seems obvious to me to have at least one item so she can start familiarizing herself with their home (instead of being flat on her back or in the car seat for hours), but of course I won't say anything. I'll probably have to buy something as a "gift". Never heard of that stroller you mention--seems kind of heavy and pricey for an older, heavy stroller. How about a Maclaren on sale? Closer to $200, but not much more than $150 for some older versions.

Lili: cute new avatar!

Diva: I know what you're saying about TTC, and the economy etc. These are important questions--you don't want to put yourself in a situation where you feel trapped or where you are not able to give 100% in any area. You're still pretty young, maybe wait a year or 2 until things are more settled? I'm sure you'd like to not be with the in-laws for too long (I know how it feels!). James seems like he's doing great meanwhile and sleeping better.

Snlee: how're you doing? I wish you and Curly were here more, I want to hear 6 month updates!
emsmile.gif

Msb: great photos, and I'm jealous of the beach visits!

DD: you're doing so great for being such a new mom! Love the diaper pad shot, he looks like he's already got a personality!

Pave: how're things going? It's tough balancing things alone (or without having DH around alot). I can relate, but it does get better, and it's all about the long term. You're stronger than you think!!

As for me, we have the 6 mo appointment this week. Looking forward to updates on her stats, but not looking forward to shots!! C is starting to grab at everything meanwhile---cute, but sometims, not so much! She is pulling my hair all the time (I have long hair)-I may have less hair than her if this keeps up! (seeing how the full preggo hair days are now history). She also likes to touch faces, but sometimes it's full on grab! She pulled DH's nose pretty powerfully a few times. She also is back to bubble blowing phase, which is especially fun when she has a mouthful of cereal. She's just learning and exploring, but getting some strength for sure now. She also goes after her toys in the Activity Mat with a lot more vigor...really doesn't seem to care for the hanging monkey or giraffe--anything with large feet! It goes in the mouth, gets pulled like you wouldn't believe combined with gurgling yells. It's funny, but what happened to my little softspoken newborn--they grow so fast!!

Well we have been using The Baby Whisperer methods for the last 4 days, and so far Hunter has been napping/sleeping in his bed and putting himself to sleep for 3 days now (yippee), no boob needed most of the time. Usually it takes about 2-3 pick ups and then he is out like a light! He feeds every 2 to 4 hours, so if he goes down fast we can get about 3 hours of sleep at a time. Not bad.

Yesterday we actually started him napping in his own crib, to get his used to it. He took to it so well that we also tried him in the crib for the first sleep shift last night. I slept so much better--he is a really noisy sleeper, he grunts A LOT and sighs and moans. What is up with that??
33.gif
Second shift we put him in the co-sleeper and I got almost no sleep at all, he was not tired and it took forever for him to go down and then when he did he slept for only 1 hour. So he went back in his crib for the last sleep shift and slept for 2.5 hours, we slept like rocks. Sooooo I think we are going to have him sleep in his crib from now on. I feel a little sad because he is only 1 month old, but the crib is like 10 feet from our bed and really we can respond to him just as quickly.

Baths are a little bit of a connundrum right now. He likes being in the water, though I wouldn''t say he loves it, but he screams bloody murder when you take him out! It doesn''t matter how warm you try to make him. How did you get your kids in and out without them crying?

Jas I am not sure about cloth or not... obviously, I want to use them for the environment, and the vast quantities of diapers we go through in one day are really disturbing, but at the same time I am hesitant to introduce another job into my day! Hunter is almost big enough for the small size Kushies our friends are giving us, so I am going to try them out and see how it goes.

Janine I can''t believe that Chloe is 6 months old already!! We need some pictures, if you are okay posting them.

DD We gave up on our cosleeper for the exact same reason. My babies grunt and whimper a ton too and I just couldn''t get any sleep.

As for the bath-ours screamed bloody murder too. It''s better now, but I wouldn''t worry. And don''t worry the number of diapers you are using will drop DRASTICALLY in a few weeks.

The grunting thing would be funny and cute if it wasn''t so loud! We call him "Grunter" instead of Hunter now... it''s a pity, but at the same time, BFing in bed isn''t easy or comfortable I found. Maybe with a 5 month old, but newborns need too much positioning. Funny, I wonder how many people have the same experience as us?

Screaming in stereo at bath time, eh? sounds delightful!
2.gif
I guess like us, you won''t be using bath time as a nice relaxing pre-bed enterprise
20.gif
although the screaming does seem to tire him out! LOL!

neatfreak, lili, mrss, puffy, janinegirly : Thanks!!

DD: thats so great about getting good sleep!

janinegirly: its so much fun when they start exploring!! i always marvel at how babies are intuitive at times..

check out the cupcake thread for my updates :)

Hi mommies!

I am so far behind, I can't catch up. Sounds like lots of exciting things are going on with the babies and kiddies! I wish I had more PS time but things have been super busy. We are house hunting so hopefully we'll have a new home soon. We need more space and our own washer and dryer!

D is 6 months old in 3 days! CRAZY! I can't believe half a year went by already! He is getting so big! We had his 6 month appointment today and he's a long 26 inches (75%) and 15 lbs 2 oz. Getting heavy! He took his shots like a champ and didn't cry much. He was in a good mood at his appointment, squealing a lot and grabbing the pedi's stethoscope and tie. Funny! He's a lot more active, inquisitive, and verbal now. He has a high pitched squeal that's ear piercing (not fun!). He talks, smiles, and laughs a lot. He puts everything in his mouth and drools so much! He touches everything and has quite the grip. He has pinched me a few times. He loves to stand with assistance and he can sit by himself sometimes.

Overall he's a very happy baby. He just gets super fussy when he's tired and can't calm himself. We need to start some serious sleep training now. Pedi says if we always help him go to sleep he'll never sleep through the night by himself. If we help him all the time, he's going to get used it and require us to do it all the time. It may take a week or longer for him to learn but he needs to learn to put himself to sleep. We are going to buckle down and also try and make the crib transition. It's going to be really rough! My heart aches just thinking about it! I don't want to but I don't think there's any way around it. Wish me lots of luck!

Sorry for the self-centered post. I really miss keeping up with my favorite thread! I hope you are all doing well.

Tacori, we do have Noggin, now I just need to figure out what time "Yo Gabba Gabba" air.

Thanks Puffy, it is fun to watch little B''s wobbly walk. B''s grocery shopping story just cracks me up, he is a funny boy.

Thanks Pave! It''s great your brother is here and able to help.

Burk, Glad to hear Tayva is doing great. little B is doing good, but I think he''s teething again, very cranky over the weekend and keep putting his finger in his mouth plus he keep grinding his teeth. I was really busy, but now DH''s sister had left things should go back to normal for us.

Jas, yay on the Aug. trip!!

Thanks msb, looks like K had a blast at the beach! Love his curls and his big eyes.

Hi Everyone! Quick check in to say hello!!!

DIVER!!!!! I''ve missed you soo much! The kids are growing up soooo fast--too adorable. Check in again when you can!

msb, great to see you and K! He is so adorable--love those gorgeous eyes, the curls, the wetsuit. So jealous that you guys get to go to the beach! Glad everything''s going well.

Burk, I would LOVE a free weekend! I''m sure if I asked DH, he would go for it but he would need reinforcements (aka his mother!).

Tacori, any luck on the stroller search?

lili, LOVE the new avatar. Such a cutie pie!!!

Diva, good to see you! Glad James is doing well. They grow so fast!!

Puffy, LOVE the grocery story! It''s amazing how much these kids absorb without you even knowing it. Soo cool when they "get it".

DD, sounds like things are going well for you. I like some of the Baby Whisperer techniques and was doing them before I even knew that they were part of that philosophy! The only thing I don''t love is the term "accidental parenting" but I guess we all do it from time to time. Survival... Lucy was a grunter/farter too. We moved her out of our room at 6 weeks because I couldn''t take it anymore--she was soooo loud! It passes after a while, not sure what it''s all about though!

Jas, sounds like you have a fun trip planned! Let me know when you''re in NY...

janine and snlee,

I try to get on every now and then but it''s just so hectic. I can''t believe our little ones are almost 6 months old! snlee, sounds like D did great at his appointment. We have ours on Wednesday so I''ll let you know how it goes.

My Lucy update is that she''s still a horrible sleeper, probably teething? BUT not only is she sitting up and rolling in both directions, she is also trying to push herself up with her arms when she''s on her belly.

Early crawling??? I kinda hope not! It''s all going by really fast! She''s also getting to be much more "social" and asserting herself with her sister. The two of them were actually playing together yesterday and laughing! Lily kept saying, "Lucy funny" and then the 2 of them would laugh! I also taught Lily to say, "Oh Lucy, I''m home" and it''s pretty hysterical!!! We''re all enjoying ourselves right now although I''m constantly exhuasted. And on top of all this, I''m planning Lily''s 2nd birthday party! We''re doing it at Gymboree Play & Music so I don''t really have to do much but it''s still stressful--what if nobody shows up, etc! It never ends, does it?! But I''m really not complaining!

Hi everyone!!

I''m back home, but have a ton to do around the house. Spent the whole day today playing with T since it''s our spring break. I''m really excited to be home with her all week. Our volleyball tourney went great (we won it) and I had a great time. I''ll check back in tomorrow to get all caught up with everyone!!

I am TOO behind! So unlike me but this stroller search has taken up all my free time. I feel like time is NOT on my side since the 2008 models are flying off the shelves at record speed. I have decided on air/real tires. My chicco is like pushing a shopping cart AND I hate the sound of the plastic tires *shiver* I actually pushed the Kolcraft Contour at BRU and really liked it! But then I researched it and I guess the seat is really small for a toddler. Since T will be in this stroller for 2 years or so...probably won''t work.

Tessa is doing great. She started saying "uh oh" a few days ago (so behind all of your kids but then again I NEVER say it so she picked it up from a friend). Now she says it NONSTOP. Tonight I asked her to point to her nose and she did and said "nose" clear as day. And I SWEAR she told DH to "wake up" when I brought her into our bedroom this morning. The babysitter came so I had two, glorious hours of errand running. I took T to a baby store to try out strollers...NEVER again! She was so bad and kept running away from me (towards the door of course) and refused to sit in any of them.

Re: Baths...Tessa HATED baths when she was little and now I cannot drag her OUT of it. Luckily itty babies aren''t suppose to get that many a week and they don''t get as dirty as curious toddlers. I think the little ones hate being cold and wet so in return cry. When they are older they play so it is fun.

msb, SO CUTE!!!

Bobo, 4:30

Sorry I didn''t address everyone! I want to see LOTS of birthday photos soon!!!
