bobo- you poor thing..please keep us posted..sending prayers your way

fisher, the theory is it has something to do with the airway around the baby''s nose and mouth preventing accidental suffocation.

I didn''t use a paci with 2 of my 3 kids. I did always put them to sleep on their backs, kept blankets and pillows out of the bed and then just prayed every night for a safe sleep.

Tacori~The baby stuff is so much more fun than buying stuff for me...although I managed to do both today!
9.gif
So darn cute that Tessa walked to give you a hug. Those are the moments that help you forget your traumatic labor and delivery. So sweet. My mother-in-law got the laugh and learn house for her for Christmas so we''re going to have to wait till then to let her play with it. Her appt. went well. He didn''t think it would be a good idea to take her off her meds completely because she''s had a reoccuring cough the past couple weeks and he thinks it could be reflux related.
7.gif
And, he was a little concerned that she''s so tall (off the charts for height) but only in the 40 percentile for weight. I really don''t think it''s that big of a deal....I was always a bean pole and she eats great and is just SUPER active. Overall, good stuff. And, maybe the highlight of my day: (other than my kid is doing so much better of course) I took a nap while T napped this afternoon. I forgot how great naps are.

Snlee~Thanks! My hair was always long and I cut about 10 inches off after I had T. I love the length it''s at now...and I just needed a "pick me up" because lack of sleep, lakc of showering and a baby belly don''t exactly equal confident woman!
2.gif

Ella~Interesting article. We have a fan in T''s room that we use at night. Who knew it was providing more than just noise.

lili~Thanks! I do have a full plate....and technically I probably don''t have time for PS, but it''s such a nice break from life to read about all the little ones and get advice when I need it for T. I love this thread!

Bobo~Thanks! My goodness, lady, you''re having a rough couple weeks. You poor, poor thing! Please let us know the results. Hang in there. We''re here whenever you need us!

Linda~Thanks! I put it as my computer desktop. It still makes me laugh every time I look at it.
3.gif

puffy~Cute pic. So cute about B''s kisses. T kisses too, but they''re very much open-mouthed-almost like she''s trying to eat my face so we''re trying to do hugs more often.
16.gif

Burk, that is how T kisses too. Kinda gross. Haha! She has also started stroking my hair. It is sweet until she gets carried away and starts pulling. Sorry the doctor didn''t think she was ready to be off her meds. Oh, and it is true, doctors LOVE fat babies. Probably why my dad insisted we start supplementing with high cal formula. It did work. Did he suggest anything or just express concern?

SIDS: the good news is we only have to worry for the first 6 months! Even after month 4 the chances are slim SIDS will happen. I have read studies (can''t remember where) there is actually something in the brain that makes certain babies more prone. Of course this cannot be known until after death...You just gotta do your best. T only would sleep on her belly around month 4. I would roll her over, she would roll back. I figured since she could roll both ways it wasn''t much of a risk.

PACIS: I know many moms on here are anti pacis but I think I would of had *several* nervous break downs w/o them. It always calms her. Now she pretty much just sleeps with one (and several extra in her crib since she will throw it sometimes and her beloved little bear). Sometimes in the car or if we are out shopping I will give her one but it isn''t like she has it in her mouth 24/7. But like everything in life you have to do what is best for *YOU*!

Jas12: Thank you for mentioning my cat crap....(haha pun intended) My kitty is sweet, and I do love her so, but its just frustrating right now, and boy, I got reamed before some really helpful folks chimed in. Actually, I got a TON of good advice, and I''m trying some of it right now. You bring up a good point about anti-bacterial cleansers. I DON''T buy the specialty formulated stuff. My ped also told me to steer clear of that stuff, its not necessary, the one ingredient that lowers your body''s ability to fight infection is triclosan (sp?). I use L.O.C from Amway/Quixtar (I know, but the stuff works wonders on granite & travertine) and then the rest of my cleaning solutions are either soap & water or good old fashioned bleach. I''m pretty old school. I even love baking soda or white vinegar depending on the application. I don''t spend a lot on cleaning supplies as a result.

My daughter''s bum rumbles as bad as her daddy''s. Little sugar & she registers a 7.2 on the sphincter, I mean richter scale.

Bobo: What the hell? I am sending a GREAT BIG CYBER HUG to you & letting you know I''m saying a prayer for you & baby Bobo tonight. Let us know how you are & vent vent vent. We are here for YOU.

Snlee: Wow, your birth story is powerful! You don''t want to hear about my 25 mins of pushing & 2 hours of labor. *wink wink*. Jake had jaundice, but not nearly as bad as poor Derek. I''m so glad you were able to get the bilirubin out of his system. Did the forumula feeding jack your milk supply up at all? It did mine. As for when kids sleep thru the night, mine are the standard by which all other babies should aspire. 8 hours a night by 8 weeks. 10 hours by 3 or 4 months & 12 hours by 6 months. I still get 8pm to 8am & 3 hour naps out of them. (well, Jake just dropped his nap--but he goes in his room from 2 to 4 for quiet reading in bed)

But other moms say my kids are weird and most kids don''t sleep that good. I was like that too. At 2 mos I was sleeping 12 to 15 hours & it freaked my mom out. She called my ped & as legend has it, he told her he had a waiting room full of women who would kill to trade places with her & to call when she had a real problem.

The good news is...if you have a bad sleeper, they are better at something else important. It all evens out in the wash. My almost 4 year old son won''t potty train. You get it on one end or another!!!

ok..back to watching debate.

Diver, I pumped every 2 hours so my milk supply didn't get messed up...thank goodness!

Wow, your kids sleeping schedule sounds heavenly! Here's hoping D sleeps as well as your kids!

puffy, cute picture of B! He has so many teeth! How old is he?

Tacori~The kisses are cute, but a little gross. Gotta love them for trying!
2.gif
The hair stroking sounds so cute (minus the pulling of course.) Doc said we''ll be "keeping an eye on it." Whatever that means. She did gain weight from the last appointment, so he was satisfied with that for now. I tried to make sure she ate well at dinner tonight and wouldn''t ya know it she was vomiting all over me on the way up to her bath.

T must have been wiped out from our girls nite. She fell asleep as I was carrying her upstairs to put her down for bed!! I went ahead and cuddled up with her in the glider for a while. Gotta take all the cuddles I can.
3.gif
Okay-must get back to shoe shopping...my sister''s wedding is in January and we are having a heck of a time finding a shoe for the bridesmaids to wear that''s January in Nebraska appropriate and doesn''t have a 4 inch heel for my 5''10" self!

thanks!! he is 10 month today, the 7th. he''s got 6 teeth right now, but kinda working on 10. the next 2 on top are trying to poke through and the next bottom two are almost in. he''s taking it like a champ though. i guess he''s used to the feeling, but i could have totally jinxed it. before you know it, D will be 10 months and you''ll be thinking where the heck did the time go!!!

I know the year will fly by but don't say that! Whaa!
39.gif
I keep thinking about your haircut comment. His hair is so long already but I don't want to cut it anytime soon!

Burk
That''s good that Tayva is gaining yet.
Sorry about the vomit though. Is it exhaustion or did she overeat?

Good luck on the shoe hunt.
I have the opposite problem....I need all the inches I can get
41.gif

Tacori
Tessa is stroking you? Awwww....how cute
5.gif

I am so not ready for J to be walking.
I don''t think we were even ready for her to crawl.
Still haven''t child proof our place yet.

burk awwww..cuddles!!! yup, better get them while you can. as long as T''s gaining weight, there shouldn''t be much to worry about right? but i mean you and your DH are tall so it''s only right that she is such a tall girl. glad you enjoyed your nap!

tacori how is the halloween costume coming along? you said you were making right? wet kisses are better than no kisses! it sounds like T''s got the hugging down. how many teeth does T have?

snlee don''t worry about his yet. i think that a lot of babies lose a lot of their hair with the constant sleeping and rubbing their heads while sleeping. and also with cradle cap if he gets it. i thought that B would lose tons of his hair, but he didn''t. so only time will tell. it sounds like you and your DH are handling parenthood very well!

lili you should get to the child proofing when you have the chance cause once J is able to pull up and stand then cruise,it is going to be FUN!!! i was not ready for B to be doing anything. i figured i had awhile, so once he learned to pull up, i thought another month before he would cruise. NOPE!!! now he is in everything that he can get into. the other day i found him in one of the kitchen drawers. it was my fault though cause i forgot to close the gate behind me, but you get the point. how is she dealing with day care? still not taking the bottle?

Ok, so Jadie got her 6-mnth checkup (along with her last set of shots) today.

Her stats:
Height: 27 1/2 (although I think it is at most 27 inches....seriously don't think she's that tall)
(last week when I took her in for her diarrhea, they measured her at 26 inches....goes to show they are not too accurate w/ these measurement)
Weight: 15lb 13 oz (yea, she didn't put on much since she started daycare and plus she's been sick w/ the cold and diarrhea)

Have to post this pix.
Thought it's cute that they have a baby smock for her.
Ignore my haggard look (can't blame baby for it since I'm pretty much a plain jane type)
Oh, you can see here that she doesn't have much hair in the back
41.gif

And look at how big my little baby is
39.gif

appt6.jpg

Latest pix of her.
Sorry, no comparison shots of her with her previous months.
I was going to do a photo shoot this week, but because she''s been sick as well as myself,
I just didn''t have the energy to do it.

hello ladies!! i honestly dont know where my days goes and by the time i have a moment to breath, all i wanna do is go to bed and sleep!! hehhe

bobo: sweetie please vent vent and vent away!!! ur in my thoughts and hoping that ur doing okay!!! you and little b are in my prayers

burk: holy cow!! bat in the house!!! as freaky as that must have been as funny as it was to read!! hahaha...yikes!!! glad to hear that T''s appt went well..but kudos to u super mom!!! i would have never been able to handle such a busy schedule with a baby around!! love the pic...T always has the greatest expressions

MrsS: awwww!! look how cute jake is!! i can''t believe he''s six months already..

ella: yay for not being preggo!!

tacori: awwwwwwwwwwww!!! thats so sweet!!! Tessa is just a beautie!!....little k is doing better with the food..i gave him noodles with veggies the other day and also some spaghetti!! i mashed it between my fingers a bit before i fed it to him just so he doesnt flip out and he held both of them down well!! YAYYYY!!! we also gave him some rice and veggies too and he was fine with that too..he doesnt eat much, probably 2 tblspoons worth? but i''ll take it!! ANYTHING is better than nothing!!

puffy: Brady is such a handsome little fellow!! too sweet about the kisses!

Snlee: Little K slept 8 hours at 8 weeks and 12 hours at 13 weeks....now he generally sleeps from 7 to 7 (hes 17 months) but he DID have a VERY rough patch around 12 to 15 months when he was teething and was just in too much pain (plus he had gas)..

lili: we were posting at the same time..awwwwwwwww!! look how pretty J is!! i just love love love her hair!! and shes so big in ur arms!! ur little girl is growing up so fast!!

MrsMitchell
Thanks. You really put me at ease with the scans.

Burk
That''s such a funny pic of Tayva. Love it.

Hope Tayva is growing out of her reflux. Good luck and have fun shopping.

MrsS
Looks like Jake is having lots of fun.

ella
Glad you are not pregnant. I can just imagine how cute Miss K''s cat costume will be.

Jas12
I totally want the Bloom Fresco, but like Tacori said, $400 on a high chair is a bit much. I am still struggling to justify it though. hehe. I think you would have the same problem with the base for the Bloom and the Boon. They are similar, but the Bloom can recline. I don''t know about the wooden one you posted, but I''ve heard great things about Stokke Tripp Trapp. Have you check out the Inglesina Zuma? Kind of like the Bloom, but $100 less.

snlee
I find my hair getting in the way of breastfeeding too, so my hair is forever in a bun. You need to post a pic of your new hairdo.

Tacori
Awww 9 steps and a big hug for mommy... Sooo cute.

lili
I figure by the time I get the headaches and backaches I can just blame it on old age.
9.gif

I am having DH make the appt for the tests tomorrow, so he can figure out when he can take off from work. I am not sure if it''s going to be a IVP or VCUG, but it definitely involves injection of a liquid into her bladders and x-ray.

So funny you said mini-me because she did the mini-me''s pinky to the lip thing a few times. DH was trying to get a pic of it, but he was too slow.

Look at J pulling herself up; her motor skills are awesome. J is so pretty. The baby smock looks so cute, and you look great.

Bobo
So sorry about your MRI result. Hope it''s nothing major. Good luck and keep us posted.

puffy
Brady is such a big boy. Love his smile.

I can''t wait til M can sit up by herself. She kept wanting to be carried upright today, so she can look around. She fussed when I put her down on the bed or carried her sideway. I sat her upright leaning on pillows, and she was fine with that except eventually she would start tipping over. Then I put her against my bended legs, and she started lifting her head forward and then she tipped over forward. It''s kind of funny. I also try the bumbo today, but I don''t think her neck is strong enough to sit in it for too long. I did snap a pic. I''ll post it next time.

Diver, I hope you know how lucky you are with those sleepers
2.gif
But since she hit 6 months I cannot complain. She went from 7:30 pm to 8:15 am today.

Burk, did he want to see her next month? That''s what they did for us when T''s weight got to 5%. If not he cannot be that worried. How sweet she fell asleep in your arms. T hardly ever does that.

Puffy, she only has the bottom two! I keep thinking the top two are going to come through any day (looks really swollen). Poor thing. But she still "chews" and eats well for only two teeth. I have the supplies for the costume but haven''t started it.

Lili, only her room and our family room are 100% child proof. DH bolted all the furniture to the walls even. J looks so big! I cannot believe she is only 6 months. The hospital gown is so funny. T is always just in a diaper at the pedi. You look skinny! I hate you
3.gif

msb, yay for the new food!
36.gif
One day you will tell him about this and you guys will laugh! I promise. I bet he becomes a chef or something.

Q, not sure why you would need a highchair to recline.
33.gif
Hope the tests go smoothly! Let us know what they say.

Lili--no wonder J is only 15 lbs, she is too active to put on weight. I am constantly in awe of that child. I am proud of Co for sitting up for 10 seconds before doing a faceplant
3.gif
and she''s practically walking, too funny.
She looks so big in your arms (you are one tiny girl). I''ve never seen baby smocks. Very cute

I''ll contribute 6 month stats tomorrow (dr''s appnt)

Diver--glad the cat suggestions are working out. Sounds like we use the same cleaning stuff--it works! and yep, like you said, saves a lot of coin.

qtiekiki--yes, the bloom would have the same ''stand issues'' as the boon, which i don''t care too much about but DH does. THe chair you posted looks great, i am going to check it out. thanks for the link!

more later--MIL is coming over...

lili- I cannot believe J is pulling herself up and standing like that
6.gif
Jake is just barely getting his knees underneath his body and lifting his belly off the floor. then he plops out flat again. he''s still got aways to go b/f crawing I think and he doesn''t try to pull up on anything. you''ve got a girl way ahead of my boy, that''s for sure
41.gif
She''s still a tiny thing.

diver- good luck with the potty training.

tacori- too sweet about Tessa. I love it when they start really showing love and affection.

burk-good luck finding shoes.

snlee-how are you doing mama?

Bobo, thinking about you and little B. Hoping it''s bothing serious.

Jen

Thank you ladies for your thoughts and prayers. The doctor''s office called today to see if I want to come in today since they have a canceled appt. So I will know today what is going on.

Burk, just tell you pedi little B is in the 5% for weight than he won''t be too concerned
9.gif

Tacori, Oh my, kisses and stroking you hair. You heart probably just melted like a pot of chocolate.

lili, J is just too cute in the play yard, you have a active one on your hand. J is the same weight and hight as little B and little B is almost eight months x__x.

Hey gals!

I leave for a biz trip tomorrow so it''s been busy but I hope to catch up tomorrow at the hotel. So much to comment on.

I''ve been totally absorbed in buying a new DSLR and being the research queen that I am, there hasn''t been much time for anything else. I need to comment on all these cute pictures (and have been reading every day).

Two things I want to comment on right away....

QT, it totally struck me how much Meena looks like your baby pic. If you didn''t tell me, I would have sworn it was the same baby. Both beautiful!

lili, I''m with the other two April baby moms. Your girl FLOORS me. She is so active and amazingly advanced! I love her pics...just want to kiss her and her mom is just lovely as well.
1.gif
Plus SO happy I know what you look like so I can stalk you at BRU! HAHAHA!

AND I wanted to wish J, Jake, and Co a happy 6 month this week. Can''t believe it!

Thought it would be fun for the April baby moms to note what are kids are doing at 6 months. Here''s mine:

Rollover: Still only one way, back to front but she can do it both ways (turning to left or right)
Pushups: Can push up high on both arms. Legs are duds and just started to wiggle a bit the other day in this position. Can do 360 turns from the push up position to move herself, but can''t move forward or backwards.
Sitting up: Can sit up for awhile, but topples over if she leans right or left
Standing: Huh? What 6 month old is strong enough to support herself standing up? Oh, that''s right...Jadelyn can!!
30.gif

Eating: Just is sort of getting into it this week. Stilll not a fan.
Teeth: None
Speech: Can say Ma, Ba, Ga and the two syllable "UhmMa" which means mom in Korean.
Raspberries: Not really.

Bobo, I will keep you in my thoughts...I hope everything will be A-OK.

lili how pretty is J?!!!!??! she is an active little child! and holy cow, she is pulling up already?! ok, she is going to be on the go for sure! and i love her hair.

tacori it sounds like T is doing well with her lonely two teeth which is all that matters. B got his teeth in really late, maybe around 8.5 months or so, but it was just one set after the next with him. whatever her costume is, i'm sure it'll be cute seeing how artistic you are!

bobo how are you doing? how is little B?

thanks for all the complements on the little guy, he is pretty cute, i must admit
16.gif
haha! he's pretty good with the kisses too. i ask for a kiss and he just puckers up and plants one on me. but when DH asks for one, he'll kinda just laugh it off and walk away. still don't know what's going on with that.

ETA: BOBO, we must have been posting at the same time, glad to hear you got an appt today. please don't stress out. you'll be in my thoughts today.

Lili~What cute pics! J is a strong one, for sure. At 6 months T was pulling up as well. We had to move her crib down then because I was afraid her tall self would take a head-first dive out of it!
23.gif
I think T''s vomit was from her reflux. She still spits up and vomits from time to time. It''s much better than it was, however.

fluffy~yea, cuddles are the best! I think a lot of her tall/skinny is genetics, too! So nice that B actually puckers up to kiss (well, you at least) T is more into the open-mouth and I''d like a little pucker!

msb~Yea, things are pretty crazy. I am lucky that both my in-laws, my parents and my sister all live close so it''s easy to get babysitting help when needed. Lots of planning is needed to function. that''s great that K has been eating more foods! Good work!

QT~Thanks!

Tacori~He didn''t have us schedule her next appt until after she turns one so he can check on how she does with milk and check her weight again. So he must not be too concerned! It was such a nice surprise that T was asleep when I got to her room. She almost can''t fall asleep in my arms usually so I was more than happy to cuddle a sleeping baby!
3.gif

mrss~Thanks! Who knew it would be this hard?!?!?

Bobo~Thinking of you. Hope the appointment goes well. I should tell T''s doc about my PS friends with 5% babies.
9.gif

Bobo: waiting for you to check back after the docs..hope everything is okay!

well ladies, i FINALLY got the clips..they took truly forever to get delivered, but here they are..i bought my friend four clips and just dropped them off to her a short while ago..she LOVES them so yay!! im happy that i made her day..plus i was the first one that bought her daughter clips ever! so yay for me!! (the small things that make me happy..haha!)..

anyhow, i took pictures for u ladies in case u wanted to see how these designs looked in real life..gotta admit they are the cutest little things!
