Hi Tgal--was wondering where you were!
35.gif
Hope u have a good trip.
I''ll play...starting with Co''s top skills:
Eating: Co''s best sport, he eats too much (and thus likely the reason while he falls short on all other areas)
Hand-eye coordination: don''t know what he is supposed to be doing but he can pick of objects as small as a marble and transfer from hand to hand which I *think* is good???
Rolling:rolls over in both directions
Sitting: just for a few seconds before toppling over if he transfers weight or reaches
"Talking":lots of various babbling but nothing that sounds like a word IMO
Standing/crawling: not even close--he doesn''t push up much either (i think b/c he''ll only stay on his belly when sleeping)
Teeth: none

Burk, interesting that T pulled up at 6 mos as well. I wonder how common that is?

Bobo--thinking of you

Yes, that is awesome. Amelia can barely pick up her links for a second before it''s throwndown!

mrsb YAY for making your friend happy. i want a GIRL now so i can get clips for her!!!

jas12 you can give Co some puffs soon since he can pick up small objects. that''s really good for 6 months. sounds like Co really loves his food. i''m not sure but it might be some what common for some kiddies to pull up at 6 months. B pulled up around 6.5 or 7 months. oh, how is the packing going?

tgal your girl is such a good sleeper and to some parents, that''s all that matters
2.gif
but i am sure she will be doing so much more soon. did the camera come in?

msb~Thanks for the pics! I will be ordering more if my mom is unsuccessful trying to make them herself. If she does well, I'll have to post pics of her re-creation!

Jas~Sounds like Co does some things ahead of the game too, no? I don't know if it's very common to pull up that young (T was a bit after her 6 mo b-day that she did it for the first time). From what I read on my little updates from what to expect it was in the "could possibly do" column I believe. My sibblings and I were all early walkers (9 months) so my mom said we all were pulling up at 6 months?

Tgal--Co is really fixated on small objects. My sister was the same--my moms caims she would unbutton the shirt of whomever was holding her at a very young age. Her nickname was "fingers". I have to be careful he doesn''t choke on something. He''s only interested in tiny things like the tags on a toy, my locket, pieces of carrot in my salad, a piece of fluff on the floor etc. and he sticks his tongue out in determination and cries if he can''t grasp what he''s aiming for---boy cracks me up.
I am impressed that A can say a korean word! That must make you so excited to hear it. Are u sad to go away this weekend or is it easier now knowing how well it went on your last trip?

Burk--I don''t think he''s ahead in many of the markers in the WTEITFY book.
You have an athlete in the works i am sure!

Puffy--Ya, i would trade in some dexterity skills for amelia''s sleep schedule 4-sure!
funny you ask about packing. MIL is over right now and that''s what i SHOULD be doing but i keep logging onto PS. I have lists made up and clothing laid out etc. but not too much progress. you''ve re-motivated me to go pack the diaper bag for the plane may as well get it done while Co is distracted...

I'll play too..

Eating: Jake loves to eat too. He tried peas last night and after the first "i'm not sure what that was" bite, ate the whole jar. He was totally eyeing my pizza though and looking at me like, hmmm....for some reason i don't think mine tastes as good as yours..

Hand-eye coordination: Jake reaches and picks things up very easily but will try to put whatever he's reaching for immediately into his mouth. I've got to really watch and make sure my big girls don't leave any tiny toys/items lying around for him to choke on.

Rolling:rolls over in both directions but usually back to front. he loves to be on his tummy except when sleeping. rarely turns over onto his tummy at bedtime or naptime though.

Sitting: he does the few seconds before falling over too.

'Talking': babbles all the time but nothing I could remotely understand..no real word sounds

Standing/crawling: he pushes up on his arms and once in a while will get up onto his knees but then falls flat on his belly seconds later. he hasn't tried to pull himself into a stand at all.

Teeth: none

I won't have Jakes offical stats until next month. we had to switch insurance and my new plan won't kick in for a couple more weeks so i'm waiting to talk him to his 6 month check up then.

TGal, I was wondering how you have been! So jealous of your cool camera BTW!

Bobo, thinking of you!

Puffy, If I ask T for a kiss she ignores me. She is a DIVA. Gotta be on her terms the little monkey.

Burk, if he was REALLY concerned he would want to see her next month. Wouldn''t worry about it then.

msb, cute clips! What a nice friend you are!

Jas12, good luck packing!

No news here. T''s just doing her thing.

bobo, just read your update. i''m glad you can get into the dr. and find out what''s going on. please keep us posted...

lili, cute pictures of J! You look great! I see you're still wearing the target nursing tanks. I love them!

msb, ahhh another PS baby sleeping 8 hours by 8 weeks! One can hope! Cute clips! What a lovely gift!

lili and q, I haven't taken any good picture of my new hairdo. If I get a good shot maybe I'll post it.

Bobo, I'm glad you are seeing the doctor today. Keep us posted.

TGal, I've been wondering where you were! I am jealous of your new camera too! Have a safe trip.

Amelia, Jadelyn, Jake, and Co - happy 6 months!
36.gif

MrsS, thanks for asking about me. I'm doing really well. The big news is I slept 8.5 hours the last TWO nights. The first night I slept 6 hours straight! It was heavenly! I pumped that morning so DH did a bottle feeding. I also took a 2.5 hour nap that afternoon. And even though I did all the feedings myself last night, I managed to get 8.5 hours of sleep again. D slept really well last night. Feedings every 3.5-4 hours. Yay!

D is 12 days old today. It is okay to take him out for short trips (other than doctor appointments) or would you keep your little one at home?

Here''s a picture we took of him at 11 days old. I''ll try to take monthly pictures of him with his bear to see how much he''s grown.

IMG_6503.jpg

snlee, yay for sleep! I took T out when she was less than a week old. But in a lot of ways I am like a second time mom. Cute picture of D. I wish I thought of the bear idea. It will be fun (like with Jake and TGal) to watch him grow and the bear shrink.

snlee, great pic with the bear.

jake is 6 months today so of course I had to do his bear pics too.

6mojpic.jpg

Jake just told me if I get him Curious George underpants that he will wear them.

god help me!!

36.gif
so are you off to the store now to buy some?
3.gif

so Jake tells me he will wear underwear if they are curious george underwear.

And fruit of hte loom NO LONGER MAKES THEM! BLASPHEMY! sold out!

I have bids on 2 sets on ebay...but I was hoping to get him trained in phx...(make my sil do it).

Anyone know where I can get iron on Curious George decals? I can MAKE him some CG undies if I have to. He''ll never know the difference. I''ll just buy plain white & decorate them myself.

HELP~

Thank you ladies for thinking of me!! Back from the appt. nothing major, just some discomfort that I will probably need to live with the rest of my life but hey no tumor or anything like that so I''m happy!! Phew~

msb, love the clips, wish DH will let me clip one on little B''s head.

snlee, D is too cute with the bear, wish I did something like that with little B

mrsS, Jake is too cute~ the bear really show how much he grows...

Diver, hope you will find the curious george underwear soon.

bobo just real quick, so glad to hear that it''s nothing major!!! did they say that you can take something or they can do something about whatever it is that is causing the dizziness. but thank goodness for the good news!!!

Tacori
I don''t know why a highchair need to recline, but I think they are marketing it as something that grows with the baby. So at the early stage, the baby can sit in it reclined. I guess it''s like a lounger or just to get the baby used to it. I have no idea. Anyways I was just stating it as the difference. I''ll admit that I like the Bloom mostly for the look.
31.gif

Jas12
I saw the demo video of the Inglesina Zuma, and thought it was neat. Plus it looks like the Bloom, at least the seat part does. The only thing is that it''s fairly new, and there''s not much reviews on it.

Sounds like Co really pay attention to little details.

Bobo
I am glad your dr can get you in today, and so happy that it''s nothing major.

Tgal
Thanks for the compliment. When I was a baby/toddler, people always thought I was a boy. Hopefully M will be more girly looking, so she can wear some cute dresses.

puffy
So funny that Brady will not give Daddy kisses.

snlee
Cute pic of D. I wish I did the bear thing too. Is it too late to start? hehehe.

I didn''t get out of the house til M was 1 month old. The whole Chinese tradition thing. MIL lives with us, so I can''t go out without her knowing. hehe. If that wasn''t the case, I would''ve taken M out before then.

MrsS
Jake is a big boy. Happy 6 months!!!

Diver
Hope you win the Curious George undies.

Here''s the bumbo pic I promised. She is so chubby.

M_in_bumbo.jpg

Diver,
Here are some iron ons...tough one. I could only find girl underwear. Odd. Here is a patch. Here you can buy your own iron on paper and print them out at home. Might be your best bet. Good Luck!

Bobo, glad you are okay. I get dizzy a lot too.

Q, such a cute pic. I think you might be the first on here with the yellow bumbo. I guess they don''t make orange huh?
2.gif

Tacori
Haha. No they don''t make it in orange, and I didn''t chose the color because it''s a gift from SIL. I actually registered for BebePod Plus in orange, but no one bought anything from it.

Snlee--i brought Cohen out for lunch when he was 1.5 days old and it was during a snow storm (probably not good, but true) and we went out every day after that will no ill effects (he has never been sick or anything). I am not sure when it is considered ''advisable'' to bring a baby out. I know for my sanity i could not stay at home so it worked for us.
So good that you are getting nice chunks of sleep. Take it when u can get it! And great that you are starting to take monthly pics with the bear. Luv it.

Bobo--Phew--so glad it is nothing major

MrsS..Happy 6 mos to Jake!!! Wow he is getting so big and handsome beside that bear of his. I wish i did those pics. I look forward to seeing yours each month.

Diver--OMG that is too funny about the undies. boy knows what he wants. I hope you win that auction!

snlee, I'm glad you're doing well and yay for getting some sleep. My dr. said to keep jake in for 2 months. I was like...what???? I'd heard 6 weeks when my oldest was born. They said going for walks or to target was fine, just try to keep people away from touching the baby. they said they recommend keeping them out of places like churches where a ton of people will want to hold the baby until they are older. the reasoning is, my dr. has a policy that if a baby gets a fever in the first 4 weeks it's an automatic hospital stay so it's best to just keep them away from any opportunities to catch germs and get sick. I took jake to Costco when he was one week old and we went to the park almost every day. I usually kept him in his carseat so none of my friends really even asked to hold him. No way could I stay inside or keep him inside for that long.

bobo- so glad you are okay and it's nothing serious.

Q- love the pic in the bumbo. I never got a bumbo but I love seeing the babies sitting in them.

Jas12- we need a 6 month pic of Co too...can't wait to hear his stats...

Bobo, did you find out what''s the cause of your dizziness? Glad it''s nothing serious!

Diver, LOL about the curious george underwear! Too funny. I hope you find them soon!

Q, cute picture of M. It''s never too late to start taking monthly bear pictures.

Regarding taking newborns out - I''m glad I''m not the only one who feels restless at home and takes their l.o. out for short trips. I always go to places that aren''t crowded and I keep D in his car seat covered so people can''t see or get near him. My mom keeps telling me I shouldn''t take him out much. I was on bed rest for 2 months before I gave birth so I feel I need to get out of the house for my sanity!

I''m going to be really good at typing with one hand!
9.gif

Thanks ladies! The doctor said the problem is probably from the inner ear and there is some damage to it (dunno how...) since there is nothing in the MRI that shows it can be removed to cure this problem so not much they can do there.

Qtiekiki, she looked way to cute in the bumbo

snlee, we didn''t took little B out until he was two months. We were too exhausted to go out anyway.

bobo: so glad to hear it was nothing serious!!! hows little B doing??

MrsS: look how grown up Jake is!! love his eyes...

Snlee: awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!! i didnt take little K out until he got his first vaccine at 2 months...i got my mom or someone to babysit so that I could get some fresh air outside the house though..

diver: good luck!! someone asked me yesterday if i started to potty train little k!! (hes 17 months)...

Jas12: ur trip is coming up so soon!! im so excited for u

35.gif
Just a quick drive by--typing with one hand!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. I''m surprisingly better than I thought I would be! Lucy is a good baby. She eats a lot and is awake a lot but she''s not annoying!!!! I haven''t been able to get her on a consistent schedule yet--she''s eating every 2-2.5 hours which seems like too much to me but the girl is hungry!! Fortunately, all of those extra feedings are helping her sleep longer at night so DH and I are doing shifts and we each are only getting up once or twice because she can go 3.5-4 hours without eating and the pedi said it''s fine to let her sleep at night as long as she''s eating enough during the day. She was up to 8 lbs at her 5 day appt last week after dropping down to 7 lbs. 11 oz. in the hospital so she''s doing well. Yay for some sleep!!!!!

Lily is somewhat adjusting but is still a little tentative. The first thing she says in the morning when she gets up and when she gets home from daycare is "baby". So she knows that this person is here to stay but she doesn''t necessarily want to hang out with her!!!! She''ll "help" me hold the bottle and she''ll bring over blankets and pacifiers and rub the baby''s head but we don''t force the issue. I try to give Lily more attention since Lucy can pretty much just entertain herself in her bouncy seat! Lily''s sleep patterns are kind of disrupted though and she has been ending up in our bed while DH or I are in the other room with the baby. Our pedi said she''ll grow out of it but we should just let her do her thing for now since her life has been turned upside down. So we''re dealing with it. All i can say is thank god for daycare because I don''t think I could handle 2 of them at home at these ages!!!!

Bobo, glad you''re ok.

Tacori, those hugs and kisses are the most delicious thing in the whole world!!!! Wait till she calls you "mommy". Lily has been saying "mama" for a while but it just turned into "mommy" and I practically cry every time I hear it!
30.gif

snlee, I''ve been taking Lucy out since day 3!!!! I would go crazy if I had to stay in all day. We''ve gone to a few parks, restaurants, shopping, etc. I keep her well bundled in the stroller and I''ve also worn her in the Bjorn which makes me feel like she''s more protected. I think you just need to use your judgment and not go overboard if you don''t feel comfortable. For me, since i had no damage to my "parts", it''s easy for me to just get out and walk. Makes me feel like I''m getting exercise plus it helps my mental state!!! I cried every day for the first 5 days just from regular old baby blues so going out made me feel better.

Just to brag a little too, I had gained 27 lbs by the time I delivered and now at 13 days post partum, I only have 7 lbs to go!!!! Granted I have tons of extra skin on my belly but I think getting out has helped me drop the pounds quickly. Also, since I''m obsessed with Brooke Burke and her perfect body on DWTS, I went on her website before I gave birth and found that she has a line of stuff for mommies. I bit the bullet and bought one of her wrap things called a Taut. It''s like a girdle and you''re supposed to wear it around the clock for 40 days after giving birth. I''ve been wearing it for 10 days now and although it''s tight and annoying, I really think it''s helping shrink me back to normal size! I usually don''t believe in things like that but I am determined to get my body back for good this time and wanted to start immediately. So combined with the walking, I''m on my way to being a hot mom like Diver!

I know I''m missing lots of people but I''ll be back soon. Just wanted to let you all know how I''m doing and tell you that I miss you!!!
