OH I KNOW! This is killing me. I knew I should have emailed him from home instead of work. The worst part is that we are starting a new email system on monday that would let me check it from home, but I need it nowwwww!

The laundry is NOT keeping me busy enough.

I go in at 7:30am Mountain Time. Not soon enough and it is so weird to be this excited to go to work.

I got into a bit of trouble a while back for posting it in the forum (people get bombarded by spam if e-mails are posted on a public forum). But here goes:

Oh I am hoping really hard that he sees my email tonight and sends me pictures. YAYYY.

So I paid for the recut on Friday. Tomorrow (Monday) they will ship it to wherever it is they cut it. That could take up to two weeks once it gets there, THEN they have to send it out to re-cert it, which will then take even more time! They will be sending it to AGS though, not the GIA, which is GREAT!! They did tell me they can''t guarantee what the lab will give it for cut, polish, and symmetry, but I''m thinking it doesn''t matter as long as it LOOKS better. Even an AGS 1 or 2 will be better than my GIA excellent steep/deep. It''s gonna be so hard to wait though, especially since people keep asking me where my ring is. I tell them a shortened version of it and they''re like "so you risked breaking it to have it made smaller? Are you crazy?" They don''t get it, which I underestand, I just can''t wait to have it back and it seems SOOOO far away. They''ve predicted they''ll ship it back to me on Sept. 16th, but that is just a rough estimate, and pessimistic me knows it''s gonna be longer than that!

I just have to keep focusing on how much more beautiful it could be when I finally see her again!

Being off work right now doesn''t help the waiting either.

Anyway.... thanks so much to you guys for understanding my obsession and perfectionism when my family doesn''t! I look forward to seeing the finished products of all your projects, it does make the waiting more fun!

Lauren, I am thinking a solitaire setting, too. Something simple. I want claw prongs, though! The setting will probably have to wait a little while - I know what I want, but I haven''t found it yet, and I don''t want to pay tons for something so simple. I think it will have to be custom though. What does a grossular look like?

Ummm, anyway, a Grossular looks like FacetFire''s awesome Jeff White - it''s generally yellow, I''ve seen them look peridot-ish and I''ve seen them look yellow sapphire-ish.

I''m going for a golden yellow - like a fancy yellow diamond.

*sigh* I really don''t think I''m going to keep the new setting. The wonky prongs are driving me batty, the split shank is 3 times as long as it should be, and the whole thing is so top heavy it slides around like mad and "tips" over.

I miss my solitaire.

I''m saving up to put it back into a solitaire, but with a stuller solstice head. The thing I didn''t like about my solitaire was the standard chunky head. I just got a little carried away with the trying to make it different. *sigh* Oh well - at least it was a relatively inexpensive discovery to make.

Back into a solitaire, and when I get the itch to change something, I''ll buy a new wedding band or something.
