*sigh* I whine too much on here. Thanks for putting up with me.

So... these wonky prongs are driving me batty. But it''s the way they cast/polished the ring. And I really, really want to be done with it. And for $250 bucks, I should not be so picky.

But - it''s not 100% the way it''s supposed to be. Even the split shank was supposed to be waaaaaay more subtle. Although I kinda like it, LOL.

Different jewler to maybe fix it? But that''s another person mucking around with my diamond. *sigh* It''s a teeny tiny imperfection. I need to get over it.

Oh Dear.

You know, if it''s not right, it''s just NOT RIGHT.

Maybe live with it for a bit and see how you feel about it. At least you are not out a ton of $$ but still, you should be overjoyed with it. Maybe *santa* can do a reset....or, take a look on WF''s website for something similar....I''m sure they could make something up for you that would make your heart sing.

I''m definitely not going to turn around and change it without living with it for a good long while. Luckily I have an amazing husband who doesn''t mind if I reset it again. As long as I keep the same diamond, I can do whatever I want to the setting, LOL. He''s good that way.

NO ONE else has noticed. Well, DH has, but I pointed it out, LOL. I''ll live with it for a bit and see what happens.

We don''t even use the bowl: we guzzle the gin from the bottle and eat the ice cream direct from the container!

But at the end of the day, if it''s not right, then at least you still have options available to you. The stone is still very special. And the setting, well, if you choose to change it, you are at least not out a ton of $$.

I took your advice and called this morning. When I got home tonight I had an email from Lesley. WOO HOOOOO!!! After a sarin report, Brian predicted my current 1.44 would be recut to between 1.35 and 1.39. The actual diagram of it''s PREDICTED weight shows it as 1.395 with a diameter of 7.22. It''s current diameter is 7.33 so you can imagine I am more excited than ever!! To me that''s NOTHING considering the change in performance I could get. My current stone scores a 4.3 on the HCA, it''s predicted specs score a 1.6. Now I just can''t wait for it to get done!!! Yours should be done tomorrow right? I bet you are even more excited than I am

I went to the jewelers last night. I tried on just the gold work, no stones set! They said probably 10 days to completion!!! Arghhh but it won''t be 10 days till I get it on my hot little hand. I am suss!! He keeps asking about when my end of course exhibition is! I think he is trying to book something once I graduate in early December! So I think that is when it is going to happen

The setting will probably have to wait a little while - I know what I want, but I haven''t found it yet, and I don''t want to pay tons for something so simple. I think it will have to be custom though. What does a grossular look like?
