Here''s a pic of what they are fixing. If you look, the split shank ''gap'' is longer on one side than the other. It''s on the right in the top pic, and the left on the bottom. Please excuse the horrid horrid pictures.

Wow. That must be a disappointment. The other thing I notice in these 2 pics is your slightly off-centre prong. I didn''t see it in those first ones you posted, but it''s easier to spot in these. Hopefully they can fix both things to your satisfaction.

*sigh* Honestly - I can live with the prong, LOL. When my ring isn''t blown up to a million times its normal size, you can''t see it. I just - yeah. *sigh* I''ll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the support guys.

You are absolutely right! Those giant pics let us see every little tiny thing and then we (at least I do) obsess about them!

Hi everyone! Just stopping in to say hi and ask a quick question. How often can I expect to hear from Whiteflash? I got an email saying they received my ring last Friday and that Brian would take a look at it. Here it is Wednesday night and I haven''t heard a thing, and I know he won''t start cutting it until he talks to me first.

I know they must be unbelievably busy.... But I was soooooo hoping to hear something by now. I just wanted to know how often you guys heard from them. Thanks

Phone them! Sometimes they are really busy and don't always see an e-mail come across the desk.

ETA: I should say, that once my stone landed in there, things moved along very quickly. Until they had my sapphire, they weren't willing to really *look* at the project because they needed it in their hands to do the custom design.

I am sure you will be very pleased with WF. Once they kind of "took control" of my sapphire project, I knew each step along the way what was happening. When we went from pricing to CADs, I knew what day my CADs would be done. And they were! When I made revisions to the CADS, I was told exactly what day the final ones would be done (which is today). And they were!

All along the way I was kept in the loop as to what was happening, who was in charge of that step, and what would happen next.

It is an extremely positive, fun experience. But I understand what you mean: when Jeff White shipped them my sapphire I was on pins and needles. And even though I had received confirmation that my stone had arrived on their site, it took a day or 2 for the project to get into the queue. But I always felt that my little project was the most important part of their day (and I am SURE it was not!). But they make you feel so good and ''cared for''.

What''s that MasterCard commercial? *priceless*.

Keep me posted. I''m interested to hear how things go for you.

I don''t want to be a pain in the @$$ though and call them when I know they''re busy, but I''m so anxious to get the scary (cutting) part over with. I think then they''re gonna send it back to the GIA for re-certing before I can see it again. I am just SOOO impatient! And I''m going up north to see a bunch of family members I haven''t seen in a while and I''m bummed out I won''t have my ring to show them

. I didn''t realize I''d see them on this trip or I might have waited, but that''s my own fault. Oh well!

Sadly, no. I am dying here. He said two to three weeks - Sunday will be three. I am REALLY hoping it will waiting for me next week!

My husband keeps telling me to chill, because I won''t be able to have it set for a little while. "What do you want it for, just to stare at it?" Well...yes. Yes I do. Lol.

It''s funny because he acts all disinterested, then when I take into a jewelry store, he gets more excited than me! He''s the one asking to see stuff so I can try it on. He''s just trying really hard to hide his girly side

Too funny! Men are odd. I think mine is a bit more receptive because he owns weaponry and chainmail, neither of which are practical, LOL!!

Got my wedding ring back. The gap is fixed, the prongs are still wonky, but they actually kind of "swoop" around the diamond in real life. It''s growing on me, LOL!

So... these wonky prongs are driving me batty. But it''s the way they cast/polished the ring. And I really, really want to be done with it. And for $250 bucks, I should not be so picky.

But - it''s not 100% the way it''s supposed to be. Even the split shank was supposed to be waaaaaay more subtle. Although I kinda like it, LOL.

Different jewler to maybe fix it? But that''s another person mucking around with my diamond. *sigh* It''s a teeny tiny imperfection. I need to get over it.

You know, if it''s not right, it''s just NOT RIGHT.

Maybe live with it for a bit and see how you feel about it. At least you are not out a ton of $$ but still, you should be overjoyed with it. Maybe *santa* can do a reset....or, take a look on WF''s website for something similar....I''m sure they could make something up for you that would make your heart sing.
