Out of curiosity, what part of Canada are you in? (If you don''t mind telling me, I understand if you''d rather not). My sister lives in Mississauga. (I am fairly certain I spelled that wrong, LOL).

I am in Southern Ontario between Toronto and Niagara Falls.

As for me, I''m just beginning my 6-8 week wait for my custom EC set.

I saw my jeweler yesterday and approved the stones (FINALLY!!) but all the pics I took came out horrible! (I guess I need more practice!!) So I don''t even have pics to stare at in the meantime.

I''ve decided I like y''alls ice cream theory....or I''ve gone sailing with a Capt Morgan bottle a few nights too!

My latest obsession to pass the time is searching for an affordable RHR that can double as my stand in EC/ering when I travel to my sis''s wedding in November. (I''m too scared to travel with it..I''ve heard HORROR stories) Anyone recommend any good sites besides the usual?

COOOL!! I''m happy it''s coming soon for you. Promise pics soon??? As for me...yes Capt is my salvation..along with Ben and Jerry''s. It''s no wonder I run 5 miles a day, I have to work off all that ice cream.

Pics...well here was where my inspiration came from (its my avitar now) but I made it a half band with princess cuts instead. The center will be a 1.56 EC with .45 side stones of ec''s as well. (i''m a SUCKER for a step cut!!)

Use your imagination and you get the idea.... do you like?

That''s where I work. Good guess! But I live very *rural* where no one can find me!

Right now, I''m sitting in my office. Out the window I see:
- a family of wild turkeys perched in the walnut trees (1 adult and I think 4 fledglings)
- a big turtle in the creek
- my veggie garden
- cows and ducks (farm next door)
- hay bales
- a John Deere tractor
- there''s an American Bald Eagle floating around too - we''ve been monitoring a nest since April. Their fledgling has hatched and he''s now flying solo!

Each time I go to the jeweler for a consult I get more and more antsy. I LIVE on PS!! (Just to get my fix each day!!) luckily it''s supposed to be finished in October instead of November. However now I''m dealing with whether or not to wear my ring to my sister''s wedding...(it''s a long story i have a thread called "should I wear my ring?" in LIW if you care to get filled in!!) My family has basically FORBIDDEN me to get engaged until next year...and god forbid I have a ring before then...**SIGH** what should a girl do??

Do you have pics of your sapphire? (Sorry if I missed that in the thread) I love them...i have a star sapphire as a RHR.

I don''t know much about garnets. So I looked one up on Jeff Whites'' webpage. Is it kind of this colour? (I know cut/shape aren''t the same as a barion oval but I''m curious about the colour). I believe Shimmer got one like this...

LS- that sapphire is TO DIE FOR!! I can''t wait until you get it so that we can see pics!! I have some quick photos of my star I''ll try and post those on here tomorrow for ya! (must get up @ 5am tomorrow for work...UGH!)

As for my drama....yes, not sure how that''s going to play out...I guess I''ll have to wait and see as the ring gets closer to being ready. (I still have about 6 weeks to go!!! AT LEAST!!) Anyways...I''ll be on here venting I''m sure.
