I totally just orderd a sterling cheapie version of a bezel eternity band to wear around to make sure I like the look.

whoa! How long till you get it? Do you need ice cream?

LOL! I''m not sure a $25 CZ ring warrants ice cream, but thanks for the offer! My tungsten band came and I totally underestimated what a huge difference the comfot fit makes in sizing! This 5mm band is a 6/12 - and it fits more loosely than my 7 RHR I''ve been wearing! LOL! It''ll be perfect for vacation when my hands swell, and in the meantime DH is wearing it as a pinky ring, LOL.

I''m on the prowl for a smaller one now, hee hee.

I SO wish I wasn''t going to be out of town this weekend so I could SHOP!!!

Well, no pics today. Rep said photog should get some of the sapphs next to diamonds tomorrow. She also said that custom would take about 14 days, so the ring should be here before our 1st anniversary. Yay!

I emailed Vera today. She contacted Brian and my stone is currently being worked on, but won''t be done ''til aroung mid-next week.

After that, it''s still gonna be a while because it has to be re-certed. I have no idea how long that takes either but I''m going out of my mind! I waited soooooooo long to be engaged (eight years!!!!) and then stupidly thought that "GIA excellent cut" actually meant it was an excellent cut. I only wore my ring for a few months before I decided I just HAD to recut it, and now I am second guessing myself because I HATE the fact that it''s not on my finger! It feels like forever has gone by (I put it in the mail almost five weeks ago) and the end is still not in sight.

Not to mention I''ve been told this is not a risk-free procedure. I know it''s rare, but what if my stone is the one that happens to break? I know my diamond is being taken good care of and that it''s in the best hands for the job, but I''m STILL GOING CRAZY!! I am not a patient person by nature and I''m so bummed out right now. I know I know I need to calm down. It''s JUST a ring not a person, this was my decision, and things could be a lot worse. I guess I''m just venting.......

I''ve been having similar "Why the hell did I ever mess with my setting?!?!?" Moments lately, so I understand, to some extent. I mean - there was nothing WRONG with my setting.... Meh. We''ll figure it all out! And when your ring is back on your hand and sparkling like mad and looking GORGEOUS - It''ll all be okay.

I just bought a colored gem, so I now have something to wait for! It''s a gem that will be set--my graduation gift!! So, I''ll be needing some assistance choosing a setting, though I have a few in mind.

I just sent my ering off to Julian at Pearlman''s yesterday. It''s so nerve-wracking to think that there is this $11,000 piece of my heart just floating around out there trying to get to Minnesota! I''m biting my nails!!

Beverley K has told them to expect my new halo to arrive Sept. 19th!!!!! Bill will remove my stone from its current setting and do a full appraisal on it then. Apparently they do not have the equipment for a sarin measurement, so he''ll have to take the stone somewhere to do that. My certification is HRD (Antwerp) and it doesn''t have all the measurements necessary to establish an accurate AGA cut grade, and I want my insurance to make sure to be able to replace my stone (if, heaven forbid, anything ever happens to it) with another ideal cut. Especially since HRD is not that well known in the US.

Well, Julian leaves this evening for a weeks vacation, and I have this feeling of going into suspended animation. He is so wonderful at returning emails, answering phone calls, and getting all the information I ask for right away. I know that my ring couldn''t be in better hands, but I''m overwhelmed with nervous anticipation!!!
