Stirring the pot

Isn't it so annoying when people start posts just to criticize the behavior of other forum members? And start thread after thread asking "innocent questions" which are actually statements in disguise?

I guess the only way to discourage that behavior is to *stop feeding the _____*! At least that's what I plan to do.

And to this topic, I'll add:

Wouldn't it be great if we stopped criticizing what we perceive as life choices of posters we've never met, don't know from Adam, no one has asked our opinion, and really, just where do we get off anyway?? Oh, yeah, now I remember. Tolerance is only tolerable when we want to point out someone else's intolerance. If we don't agree with another, we don't have to be tolerant of them. Or polite. Or even just simply quiet. We must give our two cents, even if we're reaching for things to be ornery about. Just 'cause. Just 'cause our opinion matters, and we're sure that our snark entertains. And we feel smug, and gosh, doesn't that feel good?

If anyone recognizes themselves in that statement, well, then, it was meant for you. Chew on it awhile, would you?


Now I need to go read a few "DF-like" posts to ascertain just what we are agreeing to avoid doing.
