The June LIW Small Talk Thread

My car is a stick, and halfway up a hilly driveway, I realized it wasn''t the right house. So I tried to roll back down it, but was waaaayyyy too close to the gate on the side.

So now I''m screwed because if I try to go up, I''m gonna roll back and take off the side mirror on the driver side. To make it even more terrifying, there were signs about violaters and trespassing, so I thought I was gonna be killed or mauled by a big dog or something. Hahahaha.

I tried to go up, rolled back and actually got my mirror wedged in the gate somehow. I had to call my dad. "COME GET ME!!!!!"

worst i''ve done is nicked a car when parking. all it did was take my paint off and give it to them.

Some places I would recommend:
Tapas - try Modesto. BARcelona is also good, particularly if you like a more happening social scene.
Romantic - Sidney Street (expensive, but worth it)
Irish Pub - McGurks (love their fish & chips, and they have an awesome outdoor patio)
Great Wine Selection - Remy''s (also a pretty intimate setting)
Great Outdoor Seating - Vin de Set (great place to go for drinks outside - nice view of the Arch)
Nice Brunch - Wildflower (good for other meals, too, but I love their mimosas and bloody marys)
Thai - King and I (the whole area - South Grand - has a bunch of good ethnic restaurants)
Burgers - Blueberry Hill (also is a classic STL spot - fun to bring visitors)
Coffee House - Kaldi''s, City Coffee House & Creperie
