Hey Ladies, Im with C right now, doing some homework for school. Just thought i would check in. C is cleaning out the food cabinet  ....ive been waiting for him to do this for almost 3 Years, he still had food from his Ex-wife in there. I can not believe he is acting cleaning it out. He even is wiping down the cabinets  .....i am in complete shock, its hard to do homework.I keep watching him run into the garage to empty out the trash can in the kitchen, hes on his 6th trip already

Too- OMG, i am so sorry about your kitty. I would be a nervous wreck by now, and i too know about the cramps. Im on Day 4, and wishing it would stop already. Please keep me updated on how she is doing.

Bg- Welcome back. Im sorry you thought the trip was boring, maybe its a just "relax" type of place, ya know, meant for baby-mkaing

SC-What has been going on with you? Hows your weather?

Cali- We miss you

WOW!!!!

He won't know what to do with all the extra space.

I know, im super shocked, so hard to pay attention to home work. Maybe ill attempt the homework later, lol...i wanna watch him clean....o, nevermind, hes all done. WOW....Okay he cleaned that a heck of a lot faster than i thought he would. He sitting on the couch right now watching jewerly...lol....i got him watching JTV now... ......so yesturday was the first day i had meat in 5 days! and i only had a chicken wing.....

Ugh, I hate having to work during the day now. I miss out on all the news here.

Oh my gosh Too, I am so sorry about your cat. I'm glad she's ok and that you're going to finally have a correct diagnosis for her. That sounds so scary, I don't know how calm I would be if that happened to one of my pups.

We actually had our own little animal event this weekend as well. Not as nearly as dramatic, but on Saturday my little guy stopped using one of his back legs and refused to walk. We were with him for hours before this happened and he was acting completely normal. Then our of nowhere, he wouldn't walk on his leg. He had an FHO (kind of gross so won't say what it is, look it up if you like) on his other back leg and he had the same symptoms, so we got really panicky. Fortunately, after lots of physical therapy yesterday and today, he's using it a bit. I think he just strained it somehow, so hopefully he'll be better soon.

This week stinks. Tomorrow and Wednesday I have to volunteer all day, but Thursday I get to go dress shopping again. Why isn't it Thursday yet?

Oh, and thanks for sharing your dress opinions Too and Seattle. I'm feeling 99% positive that I'm going to go with lace, but I just need to find one that isn't quite as heavy as the one I tried on. I don't think I'd like walking around the beach in that one, but I'm definitely loving the idea of lace again.

Cali -- I couldn't resist my curiosity and did a search on FHO..... Didn't sound too gross until I actually thought about what I was reading :errrr:

I hope your dog keeps getting better. It is so scary when they are sick/hurt.

What are you volunteering for? (not why.... where, what cause, doing what?)

More dress shopping!!!!

Too - yeaaaah, if you think about it, that's where the gross factor comes in. I can actually feel the difference between the two legs, which is super nasty. But I just hope it's not the same thing, that was a brutal recovery period.

How's you little kitty doing today? Will she have to be on medicine for the rest of her life to control the asthma? I didn't even know animals could have asthma, but it makes sense I guess.

This week, the charity org I am a part of has their biggest fundraiser of the year and I have to help with all the set-up tues and wed. It's a really big event for the holidays, so the work should be slightly fun (I hope). The only reason I'm a little hesitant is because I don't know too many people in the org yet, so I hope the people I have to work with are nice and easygoing. I think I just really want to go try on more dresses, ahhhh so much fun....

Any updates on your wedding planning?

Lilly was a bit more active this morning. She finally ate something yesterday evening so that really helped (she'd gone a little more than 24 hours with no food/water/kitty-box). Her eyes are looking better and she's wheezing less.

The vet has to do x-rays to confirm asthma (something about donuts and railroad tracks??? -- something to do with a pattern on the lungs) and then there are different inhaler options. We'll probably end up with an inhaler for every day (preventing attacks) that she'll probably use for the rest of her life and then another inhaler for emergency (severe attack) use. They make some sort of a kitty dosing thing that we can order that will make it easier to give her.

We take her in tomorrow to get checked out.

No time for much wedding anything this last week. I've been running non-stop on everything else that HAS to be done NOW.

Your charity thing sounds fun. I'm sure you'll meet nice new people.

ETA: I forgot the antibiotics -- she's also very prone to getting sinus/respiratory infections (apparently common with kitties with asthma) so she'll have to have antibiotics as needed as well.

Oy, that sure is a lot of meds for a little kitty. I have enough trouble getting my little guy to take his allergy pills, I don't think I would ever get him to use an inhaler. Hopefully her only issue is asthma and she cooperates in using the inhaler. :halo:

Let us know how everything goes at the vet. I have to get back to work for a few more hours, so I'm signing off for a bit. Give Lilly lots of hugs from your PS friends! Ttyl.

Bye Cali :wavey:

See you all tomorrow. I've got to head home to study for my calculus exam (sort of midterm) tomorrow morning and try to finish reading the chapters for my programming class....

:wavey:

good luck to your exam and your cat, TOO.

I went out and try on some wedding dresses with my FI. We went to a place with cheap wedding gown. I tried on a few. I LOVE the lace one I tried on. Sorry, no pictures. Can't take pictures there. The lace one I like is quite "magical." It has beading all over. It also has glitters around the edge of some laces. It is very sparkly. It would look AMAZING in sunlight. It's hard to explain. It's only $360. I see that a little lace pattern is KINDA detached. The girl said it can be fixed. We'll see. I need to bring my mom in and see. That place is called "Action Liquidator." I guess it's like an outlet. I can't really expect the dresses to be perfect I guess. I am on a mission this week. I'm going to go to other places to try on more wedding dresses to see if the lace one I tried on is really what I want. I will make an appointment at a place for private viewing this week. That place seems to have amazing dresses within my price range.

My FI also looked at some wedding bands. He decided that he wants a plain one with milgrains at the edge. The sales lady there was like "omg.. is that a tacori ring? That's so pretty. You NEED to buy the matching Tacori band to go with it." She was so excited about it. She kept on holding my fingers and looking at it.

Lol!
That's a great way for a sales person to make a sale :cheeky: --- She's right though. Your ring is gorgeous.

Too bad about pictures. One way around that is to use your cell phone while they are out of the room. (or have your mom use her cell phone).
The dress sounds wonderful.

Hee hee. Thanks Too. Maybe I will try to take some pictures anyways. I am going to try on more wedding dresses this morning before I teach. See ya ladies later.

I've got an appointment to get my hair cut. I haven't had my hair touched since May 2004 (for Grandma's funeral).

My hair is long -- as in so long I have found myself sitting on it, closing it in doors, getting it in the dirty dishes while loading the dishwasher (even while pulled up in a pony tail), and more. I'm also looking a little run-down and shaggy.

FI doesn't want me to cut it too short (I agree). Just a few inches or so off to clean it up. (no shorter than shoulder blades)

Help!!!!!!!
I need to know what I'm looking for before I go to the salon and I really have no idea other than "not too short".

Layered? Not layered? bangs????

I think you should get bangs, it will help soften your face and a cute layed look would be great to fame your face. Not short choppy layers but longer soft layers. Just me two cents

two cents helps.

This isn't something I've ever been good at.

This is partially brought on by an awful day I had recently -- I bought a bottle of wine.... and wasn't asked for ID :o
Then we went to dinner and had a 20-something (turned out to be 22 yrs old) complaining that the rest of us were just "too old to understand" what she was dealing with and when I said that I'm 25 I got a couple of shocked looks and one woman said "I didn't realize you were young" :o  ;(

So.... Yeah.

Awwwww, i sorry Too, i understand that, i wasnt carded the the other day, and i felt kind of old at 23  .....i think the bangs will soften your face, and the layers will frame your face , like a fun young cut.

Wow....
They should just ask everyone for ID. -- It would keep us "young" people from getting depressed that we're starting to look "old" and it would let the "old" people feel like they look "young" still. (well, you know what I mean..... compliment to some, not depressing to others)

I got a recommendation to go to a salon (about 1 mile from our house) and ask for a certain lady (she must be good -- got sent to her by 2 different people). Her first appointment is Monday Oct 25 so I'm scheduled to go in that afternoon.
If my bangs drive me crazy enough (they're down to the end of my nose now -- long enough to be in the way but short enough to not pull back well) I may schedule sooner with one of the other ladies in the salon.

Ouch....
That hurts. Are you going to be okay to sit through your classes?

I dont know if ill be okay in class....i know for one thing, i wont be working out tonight. ill take it slow

Feel better Jessie!

See you all tomorrow. I'm off to get my kitty to the vet.

Too: You look so cute! You and your FI look adorable together. AWWWWWWWWWW. My hair is very long too. Maybe longer than yours when mine is straight. I permed my hair last year. I had straight long hair all my life, so I decided to perm it so that I can get the "long wavy celebrity look" kinda hair.  I love it. I don't want to cut my hair now because I will probably lose most of my curls, which I don't want to yet. I don't think I'll cut my hair until after the wedding. With long hair, I have more options in how I want my hair to be styled on my wedding day. Maybe you shouldn't cut it too short. You don't want to limit your hairstyles.

So, I went to a few bridal shops today. I tried on a mermaid one. I actually really like it. It shows off my body very well. However, the dress is $850. Too much for me. It's so pretty though. The 2nd one I went to has cheap wedding gowns, around $300-$600. I kinda like some of them, but I don't get the "OMG... this is it" kinda feeling.... SOOOOOOOOOOOO... I took my mom to the store I went with my FI yesterday. I took some pictures.

First two pictures are THE DRESS!!!! $360 It is not that fitted because it's 1 size too small and there's no clips to hold it in for me. The bra part is supposed to be higher (need alternation) and extra padding (small boobs... :knockout:). So sparkly. The back is also lace, with beads and glitters ALL over it. The thing is, some beads are coming loose. shouldn't be a problem fixing it. I'll probably get my mom to fix them. Lace is very delicate anyways.

The last one... is ok. $350 This is 2 sizes too small.

I found the mermaid/a line style I tried on today online. I love how fitted it is.

It looks better in person than the online picture. I think It looks better on me than on the model.

Oooo, i like this dress better, than the one you posted before, it has so much detail.....im glad you had fun trying on dresses.

Yeah. It was fun. I kinda want a break. However, my mom and my FI said I should keep on looking, knowing how picky I am. So... My mom and I are going to look for more dresses tomorrow. :D  I made an appointment at a place for next Thursday night. I have high hope for this place.

So... My wedding banquet in hk will be on aug 28. My dad just called to tell me. We are having it at a hotel. We probably get one night at the hotel too. He kept on telling me about the banquet. I honestly don't really care. then, he was like "hello? Are you listening. Can you respond by making some sound?" I think my parents are more excited about the wedding than I am.

LoL....that sounds like fun...lol...after talking to C this weekend, he wants a SUPER small wedding smaller than what i was thinking, which has now got me thinking about a HUGE possibilty that we should elope, i have enough family issues that not want them to be there( most times) and want to save money...lol...

BG -- Pretty!!!!!!
I can't pick a favorite -- I love the sparkle of the first lace dress you posted but the curve-showing fit of the 2nd one.

The vet did x-rays and is pretty sure Lily has asthma. They sent the x-rays to a special lab to verify the results. Looks like we're going to have to get her inhalers.

That's so sad ;(

I guess whatever you have to do to keep them breathing.

We need to get a new filter for the house. It just got replaced a month or so ago, but we didn't get the super-allergen-reducing filter -- just got the one down from that so it doesn't catch the finest particals. That might help some.

Jessie -- How are you feeling? Is your tail bone better today?

BG -- Oooooh! curve-showing fitted dresses are so pretty!
