Wedding planning?

Hmmm.... was'nt she headed to visit her parents in Feb or March?

Hope she's having a great (happy, non-stressful) wedding planning where ever she is.

So..
I was talking on the phone to my mom the other day and she said that she'd been watching What Not To Wear and thought of me :nono: -- I admit my closet is pretty sad looking but... it isn't THAT bad

Okay... maybe it is. ;( ;(

that sounds like something my mom would say to me. Actually we were going to go out for a nice dinner, and my mom told me to put hair extensions in, because im pretty with long hair. So does that means im ugly when i dont wear them

My mom told me I was fat a couple years back. I wasn't hurt as much as pissed off! Hahaha, what a turd!

O, my mom doesnt call me fat, even though i need to lose a lot of weight, she says im curvy

No ring here but had such an awesome time in SF!! I wanna go back!! Loved every second of it! I'll try and post some pics later!

Glad you're back and had fun :wavey:

Someone I sort of know is pregnant. (looooonnnnggg story -- not good)

Anyway...
That lead FI and me to talk about the what-if's --
his opinion is that the BEST place to have a baby (as in labor/birth) is at home. No hospital and absolutely NO drugs.
I had to admit he had some good points BUT.... if he wants at home (with just a nurse) with NO DRUGS then HE can be the one to go through labor!

(we aren't planning to have one anytime soon and probably not ever -- this was just a what-if)

My momma had me at the hospital with no drugs. I don't think I could do it! I'd be begging for drugs ASAP!

In other news, we picked out/brought my ring home today. I am not engaged though... he is holding it hostage until he prepares a "perfect proposal."

It's sooooo amazing! I want it nowwwwww!

Exciting!!!

What does it look like?

My mom had an epidural with me and thought that it really wasn't that bad so when she had my brother she got brave and tried it without the drugs.... She says TAKE THE DRUGS!

The ring has a skinny band with pave, a halo and some nice filigree visible from the side. It's so sparkly! :-D

TP--Yikes...IMO unless he's going through it then you get to make the final decision. And the epidural is FABULOUS. :) And i labored for 12 hours without it and that was enough. With the twins it was even better! That being said I think i could do it without drugs if my labor was quick. But i like the not feeling anything part of it that's for sure!

Nicolita--How long are you going to have to wait for that beauty??

So bf has been talking with Chris at ERD and is calling Good Old Gold tomorrow!

nicoletta -- Sounds beautiful! I hope we get to see some pictures of it on your hand soon!

beesha -- That's what I said... if it's coming out of my body I get the drugs.
OOOooooooo!!!! More sparklies for the LIW (soon to be ex-LIWs!!) soon!!!

Errrrrrgggg, I don't know how long I'll have to wait! Hopefully not too long. I am having dreams about it and stuff. I think I'm a freak! :wavey:

Hey ladies!!! Sorry I haven't been posting here for awhile. I have been lazy. Sorry. I will never forget you guys, especially TOO and JESSIE. Hi to all the new ladies here.

TOO and Jessie: how are wedding planning? Hope everything is going well with you two.

Lots of things happened ever since I was last here. They are all good news.

2. I ordered my bridesmaid dresses last Wednesday.
3. We found a BETTER videographer. (remember my fiancé scared our last one)
4. My parents met my fiance's parents. (it was great)
5. I will be going to HK for a month mid March.

Hmm... Pretty much it. I promised I will come chat with you ladies more often. I SWEAR!!!

Sorry i havent checked in ladies. Im back now...my computer had crashed, and died on me completely. I had to buy a new one actually, and am not happy about it. No wedding plans here, C has been too sick lately, to even thinking about it, and think about setting a date. Im kinda of sad, but have been so busy with school, and keeping up my grades im not too worried.

BG- congrats on all your good news, and congrats on the Party in Vegas, it will be a blast for you. So much fun!!

BG -- Yay!!! Lots of good progress!!

Jessie -- sorry about your computer. It's always such a headache to switch over to a new one.

I've been out of school/work sick for the last week (since last Fri). Luckily one day was a holiday and another had big piles of snow so I've only actually missed 4 days of class.

Talk to you all soon :wavey:

Thanks BG. he is getting better bit by bit. Hopefully he is back to normal soon, i miss my C. I love my ring, i find its sooo hard to keep it clean. No matter what i do. I look down and sometimes its just so dirty i could scream. How do you keep yours clean? So your about done planning the wedding yes?

Thanks Too- it is such a pain in the butt. Im dreading taking it to someone to clean, and get stuff off, i really am. LoL...I hoep you feel better soon. Take LOTS of zinc and C.

Too: hope you feel better soon. Lots of ppl are sick lately. Lots of my students are sick. I have been taking vitamin c almost everyday! It's so cold lately too!!!

Jessie: I only wear my ring when I am out. I take off my ring as soon as I get home. Once a week, I will soak my ring in hot water with mild dish detergent. I will soak it for maybe 15min. Then I will 'rub' the diamond with a q-tip. After that, I run it under hot water. I finish it off with blow drying my ring so that it will not have any water spots. My ring still look like new so far.

o wow, you are serious about keeping your cleans. I take mine off when i come home also, but i guess it just get smugging, during the day. I will have to try that, because ive actually been using a mild cleaner on it, and soaking it for a long time. So how is everything going with you bg...i feel like its been forever since we last chatted.

Jessie: I miss talking to you and TOO. Hey!!! Did Cali ever come back? I am pretty anal when it comes to my ring. I think it is better to keep it clean by soaking it in mild detergent every week than cleaning it just once in blue moon.
Anyways, I will be going to hk for a month soon. I have been busy doing research for our honeymoon at the Maldives. My FI wants to book the trip before I leave for HK. Have you guys started planning anything at all?

BG -- I like your idea for cleaning. I've just been cleaning mine in the shower (I've got a screwed in place drain cover so it can't possibly go down the drain) with a toothbrush every morning. I never take it off (not even at home while cooking/cleaning/sleeping) so it gets pretty dirty during the day. I'll have to try soaking it and see what that does.

No real planning yet for me. We've got something really up in the air that could cost us extra $$$ each month but we won't even be able to find out how much extra (or if it'll be less $) until probably the end of the month.
We've also got a couple of things that have to be taken care of that could potentially save us $$$ each month -- FI's already said that any savings (minus any extra $$$ from the other thing) goes into the wedding budget.

I'm hoping to hear back on one of the things I'm working on in the next couple of days.
The other is a lot trickier and involves finding a new attorney in a different state.

We've been engaged for almost 1 year (will be 1 year this Saturday) and I'm trying to stay positive. one way to look at it is that the longer it takes to have the wedding, the better the wedding will be :)) -- more time to lose weight & tone muscles, more time to find something to fix my awful skin, more time to build up interesting things to put in the announcement (nice degrees, better job, win competitions), more time to practice for the first dance

Time to register for the next quarter of school...

So far I'm signed up for chemistry with lab and am on the waitlist for calculus 3. (total of 11 credits)
I'm really hoping they'll sort stuff out so I can have calculus 3 with my current instructor. He really is great at teaching this stuff.

If I can't get into the calculus class, I'm either going to do Spanish or micro-economics.

I'm trying to find a new sparkly. Nothing too expensive and it has to come from Zales.

Right now I'm torn -- RHR? bracelet? earrings? necklace?
earrings : I love the look of pretty earrings and have pierced ears BUT yellow or white gold, sterling silver, stainless steel all are uncomfortable (itching/burning while wearing) and I can only ever wear them for a few hours (special occassion) and still usually get an infection (even with careful cleaning). Not sure about platinum.
necklace: I love pretty pendants, but I already have one I wear daily and every time I've tried to wear more than one they get tangled. (I could wear one or the other, but I'm not sure how I feel about not wearing this one every day)
bracelet: I had one that I loved but it was taken when the house was broken into and now I don't really have any.
RHR: I think might be my favorite choice.

Hmmmmm..... Maybe I need to just go in and try everything on.

Hey Ladies, im really anal about mine too, so i usually take it off and store it once we get home. C was upset with me because i didnt wear it at all this weekend.

No, no planning here, but i also am not working, maybe once i start working, than we can start planning. I havent registered for summer school, yet, but i will once it opens up on the 14th.

Cali hasnt came back yet, i hope all is well with her and her FI. I still dont live with C, but im here ALL the time. Im here right now, but he is doing some paperwork.

It would be great to have the Hooneymoon planned before leaving for a month, its just easier to go things while you are at home. Are you excited to go?

Too- you shuold go in and try things on, it would be best, that way you can really get a feel for what you are getting, and trying on sparklies is just fun.

I can't imagine a whole weekend without my e-ring!

Just got some good news... the math instructor I have this quarter agreed to teach another section next quarter!!!
I'm sitting here refreshing the school website every minute until I see it in the system so I can get registered NOW before it fills up.

So looks like I've got chemistry/lab & calculus 3 this quarter (11 credits)

i actually felt naked without my ring! It was weird, but i wont do it again. I put it back on today, and went shopping with my mom, and i kept asking her if she think this band would look nice(HaHa, when i finally get one), and oddly, i do not like any other band with my ring. It just takes up too much space on my finger, and looks cluttered. Even plain bands, less alone an eternity band. Whats a girl to do ladies, whats a girl to do?

So i got the papaerwork in for summer school, and i think ill take a Math Class( 96...lol), along with Biol/lab and probably Chemistry. That alone will be 11 credits. If i could do those during summer, it would help a lot for the fall, i would pretty much be up to speed for Med school, and my degree.
